Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dalam meremediasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pre-test Post-test. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa soal yang terdiri dari 2 soal uraian. Penelitian ini melibatkan 25 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penurunan kesulitan belajar peserta didik sebesar 42,7% dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian ini juga ditemukan bentuk-bentuk kesulitan belajar yaitu kesulitan mengartikan satuan, kesulitan mengkonversi satuan, kesulitan pemahaman konsep, kesulitan matematis, dan kesulitan memahami soal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi peserta didik agar dapat menurunkan kesulitan belajar. Kata kunci: Remediasi, Pendekatan Saintifik, Kesulitan Belajar Fisika   Abstract: The study aims to determine the effect of using a scientific approach to remedied learning difficulties of students at Static Fluid material in SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The method of this study is Pre-Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Each pre-test and post-test questions consists of 2 essay. There are 25 students in class XI IPA 2 as sample using cluster random sampling technique. The result shows that there is an average reduction of learning difficulties with pecentage of 42,7% that classified as medium category. There are also found some trouble in interpreting units, converting units, understanding concepts, operating mathematics and understanding the questions that all include in learning difficulties. This research is expected as an alternative remedial activities for students in order to reduce the learning difficulties.   Keywords: Remediation, Scientific Approach, Physics Learning Difficulties

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine whether student’s misconceptions remediation using the 7E learning cycle model effective to reduce the number of student’s who exprecience misconceptions on simple machines in Junior High School 9 Pontianak. The method that used in this study is experiment study method with type Pre-Experimental Design study with plan model One Group Pretest-Posttest Design study. The technology removal of the example that used in this study is intact group technique and it is obtained at VIII C class that consist of 39 students. The instrument of this study is diagnostic test that consist of 9 multiple choice questions. Based on the data analysis, mean percentage descent numbers of the student's misconceptions is about 79,16%. The result of the statistic test Mc Nemar with dk = 1 and α = 5% showed > this result of test Mc Nemar show that have happened conceptual change on the students significantly. Cost of the normalised gain 7E learning cycle model in remediate student’s misconceptions is 0,78 (high category). The result of this study expected can be used as one of the alternative in remediation student’s misconceptions activity.  Keywords: Remediation, Misconceptions, Learning Cycle 7E, Simple Machine

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to analyze and produce refutation-structured text handout to remediate student misconception on work and energy. Research and Development (R&D) method used in this study which was adopted from seven steps Borg & Gall development. It involved 96 students from 2 schools in Rasau Jaya whom participated in preliminary field and main field. Data collected by using validity questionnaire, student response questionnaire and diagnositc test. The results of data analysis showed that refutation-structure text handout material was suitable to use as a medium to remedy misconceptions about material aspects validity of 0.86 (very high criteria), language aspects 0.87 (very high criteria), and graphic aspects of 0.78 ( high criteria). Students' responses to the first field test obtained a percentage of 80.05% (very high category) and the main field test obtained an average percentage of 80.63% (very high category). The results of this study was expected could be used by teacher to remediate work and energy misconception as an alternative media. Keywords: Development, Refutation-Structured TextHandout, Work and energy
