Abstract

Needs analysis is important before developing a product. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1). 11th grade physics material which is considered difficult by students 2). Teaching materials used in learning physics; 3). Knowing the need to develop student worksheets based on discovery learning This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The samples in this study were physics teachers and 11th grade students of Senior High School 10 Palangka Raya as many as 22 people. The results of this study are: 1). Physics material that is considered difficult by students is static fluid material with the percentage of students who choose this material is 77%. 2). The teaching materials used by teachers in physics subjects are modules, student worksheets and textbooks with the largest percentage selected being textbooks, which is 82%. 3). Students want student worksheets that have an attractive appearance, are easy to understand and lead to discovery learning, so as many as 100% feel the need to develop discovery learning-based student worksheets.

Abstract

The use of learning tools such as Student Worksheets (LKS) can support the success of learning, especially Problem Based Learning (PBL) based worksheets in which there are also steps to train students' solving skills. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using PBL-based worksheets on students' problem-solving abilities. This research is quantitative research with an experimental method (pre-experimental designs (nondesign)) with one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection technique used is in the form of description questions to measure students' problem-solving abilities. The subjects of this research were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, amounting to 35 people. The analysis used in this research is using effect size analysis. based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of using PBL-based worksheets on problem-solving abilities has proven to be effective through effect size analysis with an effect size of 1.44 which is included in the high category.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan : (1) Untuk mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangan dari media pembelajaran Exe-Learning terintegrasi Keislaman; (2) Untuk mengetahui media pembelajaran Exe-Learning terintegrasi Islam dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Media pembelajaran Exe-Learning terintegrasi Islam mampu meningkatkan dan menumbuhkan sikap spiritual atau rasa syukur peserta didik terhadap Allah SWT, Exe-Learning sebagai media pembelajaran terintegrasi ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an dapat menjadi referensi bacaan yang menghibur dan meningkatkan minat membaca peserta didik, serta Exe-Learning ini tidak membosankan karena dengan desain yang berbeda disetiap halaman dan terdapat gambar serta video yang dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi didalamnya. Kekurangan dari media pembelajaran Exe-Learning ini ialah interaksi siswa dan guru menjadi kurang, pusat pembelajaran mengarah kepada pelatihan daripada pendidikan; (2) Media pembelajaran Exe-Learning yang telah diintegrasikan Islam memenuhi kriteria layak sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media belajar mandiri bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji filter arang aktif gambut dalam menyerap logam berat mercury (Hg) pada air sungai Kahayan yang tercemar. Proses pembuatan arang aktif melalui beberapa tahap yaitu: tahap karbonisasi, tahap penghalusan, dan tahap pengaktifan secara fisika. Mutu arang aktif mengacu pada persyaratan SNI 06-3730-1995 meliputi kadar air dan kadar abu. Hasil uji mercury analyzer menunjukkan bahwa arang aktif gambut mampu menyerap logam berat mercury (Hg) dalam air. Kadar logam berat mercury (Hg) berkurang setelah dilakukan proses adsorbsi yaitu sebagai berikut: ukuran serbuk gambut 40 mesh mampu menyerap logam berat mercury (Hg) sebesar 50 % ; ukuran serbuk gambut 60 mesh d mampu menyerap logam berat mercury (Hg) sebesar 75%.Kata kunci: arang aktif; gambut; logam berat; mercuryPeat Activated Charcoal as a Heavy Metal Mercury (Hg) Filter ABSTRACTThis study aims to test the activated peat charcoal filter to absorb heavy metal mercury (Hg) in polluted Kahayan river water. The process of making activated charcoal goes through several stages, namely: the carbonization stage, the refining stage, and the physical activation stage. The quality of activated charcoal refers to the requirements of SNI 06-3730-1995 including moisture content and ash content. The results of the mercury analyzer test showed that peat-activated charcoal was able to absorb heavy metal mercury (Hg) in water. The heavy metal mercury (Hg) content was reduced after the adsorption process was carried out, namely as follows: the size of 40 mesh peat powder can absorb heavy metal mercury (Hg) by 50%; Peat powder size of 60 mesh can absorb 75% of the heavy metal mercury (Hg).Keywords: activated carbon; peat; heavy metals; mercury

Abstract

E-module is part of teaching materials that can be applied by students in the learning process. This study aims to 1) look at the teaching materials used by students; 2) knowing the obstacles faced by students in the learning process to understand the physics material; 3) analyze the needs of students for Project Based Learning (PjBL) based E-modules on sound wave material for class XI SMA. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The data collection technique is to distribute needs questionnaires to class XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya online in the form of a google form platform via WhatsApp. The results of the research conducted showed that 1) the teaching materials used by students were 14.3% books, 23.8% modules, 28.6% LKS, 14.3% PPT, 28.6% PDF, and 9.5% tutorial video; 2) obstacles faced by students in understanding physics material, namely the lack of understanding of material concepts so that students have difficulty understanding physics formulas and applying them in everyday life; 3) students need teaching materials such as PjBL-based E-modules according to the data obtained, as many as 81% of students agree on the development of PjBL-based E-modules in making it easier for students to understand physics material and apply it in everyday life, especially on sound wave material.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran interaktif pada masa pandemi Covid-19 telah mengubah sistem pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi sistem daring (E-Learning). Dalam hal ini, perlunya pengenalan suatu media yang dapat diakses dengan mudah untuk menunjang pembelajaran daring seperti WhatsApp.  Pada pengabdian ini mempunyai tujuan agar pengajar bisa kreatif dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi sederhana WhatsApp pada mata pelajaran IPA sebagai media pembelajaran secara optimal sehingga meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah seluruh pengajar IPA yang ada di MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada pengabdian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengabdian ini adalah pemanfaatan aplikasi WhatsApp pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) membuat pengajar lebih kreatif dengan memanfaatkan media seperti WhatsApp dalam pembelajaran daring sehingga membuat peserta didik juga merasa terbantu baik dalam proses pembelajaran maupun pengumpulan tugas yang jauh lebih mudah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil wawancara yang dilakukan peneliti pada empat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Palangka Raya. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik terhadap pengembangan bahan ajar elektronik berbasis kearifan lokal yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran online maupun Hybrid Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran kebutuhan dan persepsi siswa terhadap lembar kerja peserta didik elektronik pada Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Total sampel yang digunakan yaitu 94 orang peserta didik dari empat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Palangka Raya. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket dan data akan dianalisis secara  deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap pengembangan LKPD elektronik (E-LKPD) berbasis kearifan lokal di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kota Palangka Raya. Sebanyak 72% peserta didik menyatakan kebutuhan mereka terhadap pengembangan  LKPD elektronik. Adapun hasil analisis angket persepsi peserta didik menunjukkan respons yang positif terhadap hasil pengembangan E-LKPD yakni  berada pada kategori “Sangat Baik”. Adapun perbandingan persepsi peserta didik terhadap E-LKPD di MI Swasta mendapatkan respons positif lebih tinggi dengan persentase 86,92% sedangkan MI Negeri memiliki persentase 83,15%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi penerapan pembelajaran secara online dikarenakan masih dalam masa COVID-19 yang dilakukan di MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu medeskripsikan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik dengan Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD pada Materi Usaha. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi penerapan pembelajaran secara online dikarenakan masih dalam masa COVID-19 yang dilakukan di MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII B berjumlah 12 orang peserta didik. Hasil yang diperoleh Hasil belajar peserta didik dengan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap 12 orang peserta didik yang dimana 6 orang memiliki kategori tinggi, 5 orang memiliki kategori sedang, dan 1 orang memiliki kategori rendah. Rata-rata nilai tes hasil belajar peserta didik yatu 72,5.

Abstract

This study was prompted by students' difficulty in mathematics, particularly on the material to the power of three and the cube root. The use of learning methods in schools is still teacher-centered, therefore students are not overly engaged in the learning process. Online learning is the strategy employed by teachers in the classroom nowadays. The purposes of this study were to determine implementation of online Problem Based Learning Models in mathematics learning, the improvement of student learning outcomes after the application of online the Models in mathematics learning, and how much improvement of student learning. The research method employed was a quantitative approach combining experimental research and a pre-experimental design. The findings revealed that the online problem-based learning model has been implemented on the cube of the third material and the cube root on the teacher and student observation sheets in all phases and produced very good results, and a sig value of 0.00 indicates a substantial increase in the results of mathematics learning outcomes for class V on pretest and posttest data. Based on the findings of the N-Gain score test calculation, it was discovered that the average value of the N-Gain score using the online problem-based learning model was 0.6985, putting it in the moderate category for improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The research background is an implementation of Limited Face-to-Face Learning because there is COVID-19 that was implemented at MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya, and still didn’t know students’ critical thinking skills with discovery learning model implementation on the optical tool's material. The Discovery learning is able to provide learning using a combination of class and home that can be applied according to learning conditions or at a certain time. This learning can also provide competence to students through several learning syntaxes in it. So that this combined learning can determine students' critical thinking skills through their application. The research objective is to describe the students’ critical thinking skills with discovery learning model implementation on the optical tool's material. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Subjects in this research were fourteen students of VIII A class. Data analysis techniques used students’ critical thinking skill tests. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the implementation of discovery learning model on optical tools material through discovery learning syntax was still not implemented well because learning system in the school was Limited Face-to-Face Learning and students’ critical thinking skills by using discovery learning model on optical tools material was quite critical this thing caused by the learning system in the school was Limited Face-to-Face Learning. There is one student with moderately critical categories and 11 students with quite critical categories.
