Abstract

This study was derived from a paradegm developed by historians that the process of conversion to Islam in the Malay world was spread dominantly by the Sufis. As a result, historical reconstruction in this region has always been linked to the teachings, rituals and religious behavior of the Sufi. Based on available sources (manuscripts and archives), the role of traders was very significant in conversion to Islam in the Malay world. Through trade and religion, the countries in the Indian Ocean were interconnected. The religious conversion among traders grew faster as in the 17-18th century AD traders from various regions came to the West Coast of Sumatra to get spices. Most of these traders have embraced Islam. The Muslim traders carried the spirit of the Koran in their right hands and the commodities in the left hand. This spirit of spreading Islam was the driving force of the merchants to spread Islam in every place they visited. This research has implications for the community’s perspective on Islam in the Malay world because Islam that was brought by traders was progressive and flexible about the local culture. This study is a historical socio-religious study that is examined through three ap- proaches, namely historical approach, social approach, and religious approach. This study found that the religious conversion in the Malay world was succeeded mostly by the merchants. To facilitate the conversion, they married local women and negotiated with the authorized Sultan.

Abstract

The 2019 Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) creates challenges for the Arabic learning process at Indonesian Islamic Universities, which is one of the mandatory subjects to support foreign language communication. This research aims to analyze the problems of learning Arabic online at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang in the situation of COVID-19. This research utilise case studies based on data includes observations of Arabic learning processes, collecting documentation through lesson plans and interviews with Arabic lecturers. The data analysis technique employs data triangulation through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclussion. The results ascertain that Arabic learning activities showed less effectiveness in COVID-19 situation, this was due to the varied problems of  learning Arabic based on online learning; the teacher's experience in designing online-based interactive media, the minimum stable learning platform, the minimal control process on students' language acquisition and supporting facilities in learning Arabic online. The findings of this study discover that Arabic lecturers to integrate all learning components holistically, so the Arabic learning process can achieve maximum results. This research recommends to the other research to find a solution to every problem that exists in Arabic learning in COVID-19 situation at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.

Abstract

This research aimed to make or produce reading skills test tool using Kahoot platform. This was a "research and development" model using the 4D model (defines, designs, develops, determinates), yet this research was only up to the developing stage. The result of the development in this research is that the researcher developed the reading skills test questions using the Kahoot platform. These questions are written on the platform, then a picture is inserted in the question, as well as the answer choices and the correct answer. The picture helps students to understand the commands of the questions and the researcher used one type of question, the quiz, which is a question by providing answer choices from A to D. The answer choices in this problem are in the form of triangles, squares, circles and squares that have been rotated.  The students used the smart phone.  In this online test, the educator determined the time to answer the question.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of Maharatul Qira'ah learning model design by utilizing Edmodo e-learning application, and to describe the learning model and its impact on student participation. The rapid development of ICT is influencing the Arabic learning model at PBA UIN IB Padang which is still using the classical model, and the participation of students is still lacking. Here, the innovation of the classical learning model toward online-based learning needs to be done, such as by utilizing Edmodo e-learning application. This research used the ADDIE step model. The research subjects consisted of 32 students and 5 lecturers of PBA. This study used valid instruments. Based on the data analysis, the validity of the design of the teaching materials presented in the Edmodo e-learning has met the very valid criteria, with a score of 83.59.  The e-learning model developed was a blended learning with complement functions in the form of synchronous and asynchronous communication. This e-learning had been able to increase student participation by 81,25%.  This study recommends further researchers to use Edmodo e-learning application in teaching various language skills in a fully integrated online model.

Abstract

مستخلص البحث: الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو وصف طرق تعليم القراءة للمبتدئين لأن القراءة  من أهم المواد التعليمية فى تعليم اللغة العربية. ومنهج الدراسة هو الدراسة المكتبية التي يجري مكتبيا معتمدا على البيانات والمعلومات من الكتب المتعلقة بالبحث. والحجة على بحثها أنها فرق فى تعليمها بين مهارة القراءة للمبتدئين و المتوسطين والمتقدمين من حيث المادة والطرق وعملية تعليمها. نتيجة البحث أن الطريقة في التعليم هي الخطة الإجمالية الشاملة لعرض مواد تعليم اللغة وترتيبها بالشكل الذي يحقق أهداف التربوية المنشودة. ومن الممكن أن نقول أن هذا الخيط في معظم أشكال الاتصال بين المعلم والطالب. وأما أهداف خاصة وهي أن يتعرف على شكل الحروف العربية و أن يفهم ما يقراء من كلمات وجمل. والخلاصة من هذا البحث، ينبغي على المعلم أن يختار طريقة التعليم المناسب بمعايير  مثلا أهداف التعليم ، ومستوى الدارسين وخصائصهم ومصادر التعلم وغير ذلك.

Abstract

Evaluation is the main component in the teaching and learning process, these components ‎are objectives, materials, methods, evaluation. The good evaluation standards are; inclusivity of evaluation; continuity of evaluation;  objectivity; differentiation, and variety. Evaluation in the teaching and learning process is very ‎important because it uses various and different tools in evaluating reading skills learning to ‎find out how far their progress in learning to read. Evaluation as a data collection tool has ‎many tools, and these tools are tests and non-tests. The test as an assessment tool has ‎various types. One type is a written test and one of the tools in Moodle. the problem statement is ‎evaluation of reading skills in MTs has not used an evaluation tool with Moodle, students ‎are less enthusiastic in evaluating reading skills, and teacher lacks mastery technology. The ‎problem statement in this study is how to develop a reading skill evaluation tool using ‎Moodle for eighth grade in MTs?. The research method used is research and development ‎with 4D models (define, design, develop, disseminate) but the author limits it to the third ‎stage that is development. The results of this study are: (1) needs analysis includes analysis of the ‎‎2013 education curriculum, student books and the forms of tests used, analysis of the needs ‎of Arabic teachers and students (they really need the development of this tool) (2) Designing ‎a reading skill evaluation tool using Moodle includes writing a grid of questions, writing test ‎questions, and making evaluation tools in Moodle (3) The results of developing a reading ‎skill evaluation tool using moodle for eighth grade in MTs include the validity of linguists ‎and evaluations and media, and the results of all of them show very good ratings and this ‎means it is possible to use Moodle in the evaluation without correction

Abstract

مستخلص البحث : الهدف من هذا البحث هو لمعرفة تأثير فيدييو على مهارة الكلام لدى تلاميذ الفصل السابع في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 5 بادانج باريامن. وأما منهجية البحث هو بحث تجريبى أي بحث الذي يهدف لمعرفة الفرق بين الفصل التجريبى و الفصل الضابطى  فى تعليم مهارة الكلام. والحجة على بحثها لأن مهارة الكلام حقيقة اللغة، وللحصول على غرضها يحتاج إلى الوسيلة المناسبة ومنها فيديو وهي وسيلة تعليم اللغة تشمل على مهارة الإستماع والكلام والقراءة والكتابة. فوجد البحث أن فيدييو تؤثر مهارة الكلام أثرا قويا.وذلك يدل على أنّ ت الحساب  (-5،323) أكثر من ت الجدول(-2،145). إذن، الفرضة التبادلية مقبولة والفرضية العدمية مردودة. وهذه تدلّ على أنّ الفرضية البدلية مقبولة. والخلاصة من هذا البحث هو إذا أراد معلم اللغة العربية أن يرقّي مهارة الكلام لدى التلاميذ فلا بد أن يستخدم وسيلة جيدة كوسيلة فيدييو

مستخلص البحث: الغرض من هذا البحث هو  ما أهداف تعليم مهارة الكلام فى مدرسة دار الإيمان المتوسطة الإسلامية المتكاملة بادانج ومواده وطرقه ووسائله وتقويمه. ومنهج البحث المستخدم فهو منهج وصفي على البحث الميداني. والحجة على بحثــه لمعرفة كيف تنفيذ تعليم مهارة الكلام فى المدرسة الجديدة. أهداف تعليم مهارة الكلام فهي كان التلاميذ يستطيعون أن يتكلموا باللغة العربية فصاحة. ومواد التعليم مأخوذة عن الكتاب الدراسي يعني كتاب العربية بين يديك. والطرق المستعملة فى تعليم مهارة الكلام فى الفصل الثامن وهي الطريقة المباشرة والطريقة السمعية الشفهية والطريقة السمعية البصرية التركيبية الإجمالية والطريقة الإنتقائية. والخلاصة من هذا البحث أن تعليم مهارة الكلام فى تلك المدرسة ولم تكن متساويا بالنظريات.

مستخلص البحث: الهدف من هذا البحث هو وصف تصميم أدوات تقويم لمهارة القراءة باستخدام   .WQC ومنهج البحث هو بحث تطويري بنموذج 4د بالخطوات من تحليل الحاجة، والتعريف والتصميم والتطوير  والانتشار. والجة على بحثها لأنها متعلقة بتعليم مهارة القراءة.  والقراءة من أهم الهارات اللغوية الأربعة. ووجد البحث أدوات التقويم لمهارة القراءة وهي خمس أدوات منها: صحيح أو خطأ، ومطابقة  كلها صحيحة لتقويم مهارة القراءة للتلاميذ المدرسة العالية . والخلاصة أن غرض تطوير أدوات التقويم ليجدد كيفية كتابة أسئلة اللغة العربية وليجدد كيقية التقويم للصف الثاني في المدرسة العالية على أساس التكنولوجيا. ,إذا أرادت المدرسة لتحسين نتيجة تعليم مهارة القراءة فلأحسن أن يستخدمها.

Abstract

AbstractThe research is undertaken with several aims in mind. First, to analyze the local trade conducted in the Kingdom of Inderapura within the 17th-18th century CE. Second, to classify several types of local trade conducted under the patronage of the Kingdom of Inderapura in its effort to ascertain its position as the main patron of commerce on the west coast of Sumatera. One of the policies issued by the king of Inderapura to boost the kingdom’s commerce was not to burden the anchoring merchant ships with paying customs. Here lies the difference between the port of the Kingdom of Inderapura with other ports on the west coast of Sumatera. The article approaches the problem through maritime historical research method. It utilizes the Dutch colonial archives and the Tambo of the Kingdom of Inderapura as the primary sources. Besides that, the research also makes use of related books and scientific journals as secondary sources. To enrich and bring depth to its analysis, the research approaches the research question socio-economically. These sources, then, need to pass the internal and external criticism to validate its reliability. The final steps are synthesis and historiography (putting and arranging those facts into historical writing). The writers discover that there are three types of local trade conducted by the Kingdom of Inderapura along with the 17th-18th century CE: intra-island, inter-ports, and inter-islands trade.Keywords: The Kingdom of Inderapura, Local Trade, VOC, The Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam, The Kingdom of Banten. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis tentang pola perniagaan lokal di kerajaan Inderapura pada abad XVII-XVIII M. Hal ini sekaligus untuk mendalami bagaimana pola-pola perniagaan yang dibangun oleh kerajaan Inderapura sehingga kerajaan ini mampu menjadi penopang utama perniagaan di Pantai Barat Sumatera. Salah satu kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh raja Inderapura adalah setiap pedagang yang berlabuh tidak dibebani untuk membayar bea cukai, inilah yang membedakan antara pelabuhan Inderapura dengan pelabuhan yang lainnya di Pantai Barat Sumatera. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode riset sejarah maritim dengan sumber primer berupa arsip kolonial, sumber lokal berupa Tambo kerajaan Inderapura dan sumber sekunder serta pendekatan sosial ekonomi, kemudian sumber-sumber tersebut dikritik dengan melalui kritik internal  dan eksternal (memvalidasi akurasi terhadap keaslian sumber), setelah itu dilakukan sintesis dan historigrafi. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pola perniagaan yang dipergunakan oleh Kerajaan Inderapura pada abad XVII-XVIII M adalah; pertama, pola perniagaan antar pelabuhan. Kedua, Pola perniagaan antar pulau. Ketiga, pola perniagaan ke pedalaman.Kata Kunci:Kerajaan Inderapura, Perdagangan Lokal, VOC, Kerajaan Aceh Darussalam, Kerajaan Banten.
