Abstract

The thesis writer focuses on the analysis of Massie?s discrimination on Claire as seen In Liz Tigelaar?s The Clique Movie Script. The topic discrimination is chosen because it is important to find out of the proofs, the causal factors, and the effects of Massie?s discrimination on Claire. The thesis writer applies the concept of discrimination, the types of discrimination, the causes of discrimination, the effect of discrimination, and she also applies a qualitative research. The finding shows that the proofs of Massie?s discrimination on Claire are a part of the social psychology harmful actions toward other, unjustifiable negative behavior towards a group or its members, leads the group that feels discriminated often live under ambivalent way of life. The second finding is the causal factor of Massie?s discrimination on Claire is feeling superiority against the rest. The last finding is the effects of Massie?s Discrimination on Claire. First, the effect on Claire is hidden her discrimination to her mom. The second effect on her friend is Layne angry to her. The last effect on Massie is she feels uncomfortable in her own house.Key Word: Discrimination

Abstract

The objectives of the study are, to find out the types of Libby's Depression, the causal factors of Libby's Depression and the effects of Libby's Depression as see in Jennifer Niven's Holding Up The Universe on herself, the society, and Jack Masselin. Abstract

This research studied reification in Harriet Beecher Stowe?s Uncle Tom?s Cabin. The researchers used reification theory as proposed by Georg Lukacs and within Marxist tradition. By using Lukacs points of reification of the three points, the researchers find that Uncle Tom experiences the three points of reification, those are depersonalization, alienation of labor, and thing-like relation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Dewi Ayu?s Electra Complex as Seen in Eka Kurniawan?s Beauty Is A Wound. The objectives of the study are: (1) to find out the proofs of Dewi Ayu?s Electra Complex as Seen in Eka Kurniawan?s Beauty Is A Wound; (2) to find out the causal factors of Dewi Ayu?s Electra Complex as Seen in Eka Kurniawan?s Beauty Is A Wound; and (3) to find out the effects of Dewi Ayu?s Electra Complex on herself and on Ma Gedik as Seen in Eka Kurniawan?s Beauty Is A Wound.  The theory used by the thesis writer is the theory of Electra Complex by Freudian theories in psychoanalysis approach and she also applies a qualitative research. Keywords: Psychoanalysis, Electra complex, Defence Mechanism.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membantu Pemerintah Desa Tambak untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang belum terselesaikan. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yang meliputi: tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap refleksi. Tahap perencanaan, yaitu menentukan bersama mitra tentang prioritas masalah yang harus diselesaikan, serta menentukan program untuk memecahkan masalah ini. Tahap pelaksanaan adalah melaksanakan program sesuai dengan hari dan waktu yang ditentukan. Tahap refleksi, yaitu mengadakan diskusi yang setiap malam sebelum mahasiswa dan dosen beristirahat. Diskusi ini membahas kekuatan dan kelemahan selama kegiatan. Hasil yang dicapai dari KKN-PPM adalah balai desa dapat ditempati lagi sebagai pusat kegiatan pemerintahan desa, keberadaan produk unggulan dari oalahan jagung dan singkong yaitu Bolu Jagung Madura (Bogura) dan keripik singkong, pembuatan plakat di depan Balai Desa Tambak, memberikan pompa air di balai desa sehingga kebutuhan air terpenuhi, pengaktifan kembali lapangan sepak bola sebagai pendukung kegiatan olahraga serta banyaknya kegiatan yang dilakukan di sekolah untuk memacu semangat belajar siswa.

Abstract

Relief that decorates temples in East Java in the form of ornament of the story of animal beautifies the temples and it has meaning and important role. The research of the relief of animal story focuses on determining the role and kinds of animal in the relief of story animal of temples in East Java.The aim of this research is to spread the meaning relief of animal story of Temple in East Java in the form of the role and the kinds of animal of the relief of the story of animal.The technique of data collection is  documentation  study, observation and interview.The finding shows that the  animal story in the relief of the animal  story of Jago temple in Malang functions as a means of spreading religion and offers moral ethic message and moral for human, through the symbols demonstrated with the figure of animal. The types of animal in the relief of the story of animal are flamingo, turtles and wolfs.The  story of Garudeya in the relief of the animal story of Kidal temple in Malang functions to offers a moral message of  the release of soul for freedom from physical bond and a danger that close up after the death. The types of animal in the relief of the animal story are Eagle and snakes. The story of animal in the relief of the story of animal of Penataran temple in Blitar functions  to offer a message of ethich moral, the value of mutual help, the value of friendship, the value of showing gratitude. The types of animal in the relief of the animal story  are Swan. turtles, dogs, crocodile and cows. Keywords : Relief, Temple, relief of the story animal
