Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe what extent student’s mathematical connection ability that reviewed from self confidence and seen from error in completed  the mathematical connection test. The subject of this research is students of MTs Fatahillah Cimahi class VIIIB as much 22 students. The method used in this research was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The step of this research that composed from 4 step:  namely self confidence questionnaire, mathematical connection ability test, data analysis and draw conclusion. The result showed that 1) Students with high self confidence do errors on identify relation of one procedure to other procedure in same representation and explain mathematics application topic in field of study content or daily problem; 2) Students with medium self confidence do errors in identify relationship of one procedure to other procedure in same representation and do error in identify various relationship of concept representation and mathematics procedure; and 3) Students with low self confidence do error on identify relationship of one procedure to other procedure in same representation. The conclusion of this research is student’s mathematical connection ability still less. Keywords : Ability Connection Mathematics, Self Confidence, Error Analysis

Abstract

The study was conducted to analyze the relationship of learning motivation to the mathematical problem solving ability of 7th grade students. The research method is correlation. The research subjects consisted of 32 7th grade students at SMPN 3 Purwakarta. Test test instruments and non-test instruments are the methods used in data collection. The test given was in the form of 5 problem solving abilities in the form of essays and non-learning motivation scale with Likert scale. The normality test, the correlation test, the determinant coefficient, the significance test to see the correlation between the variables of learning motivation and the variables of mathematical problem solving ability are the steps taken. The conclusion from the results of the study there are 12.18% the relationship between learning motivation and problem solving abilities of junior high school students.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dapat menelaah kesulitan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis daftar pustaka menggunakan mendeley dalam karya ilmiah  untuk guru-guru di Kecamatan Pengalengan. Peningkatan profesionalisme guru melalui kegiatan pelatihan penulisan daftar pustaka menggunakan Mendeley sangat diperlukan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini para guru di kecamatan Pengalengan menjadi terbantu dan mendorong mereka dalam meningkatkan kegiatan publikasi ilmiah. Bagi tim pelaksana dari Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika juga dapat menjalankan kegiatan tridharma perguruan tinggi dimana salah satunya adalah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini.Kata Kunci : karya tulis ilmiah, daftar pustaka, mendeley ABSTRACTThe purpose of this community service activity is to be able to examine the difficulties in improving the bibliography writing skills using Mendeley in scientific work for teachers in Pengalengan District. Teacher professionalism improvement through bibliography writing training activities using Mendeley is very much needed in writing scientific papers. With this activity, the teachers in the Pengalengan subdistrict were helped and encouraged them to increase their scientific publications. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur mendeskripsikan model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) dalam mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran aljabar. Kemampuan penalaran aljabar adalah suatu kemampuan berpikir matematika dengan melibatkan proses representasi, penalaran, analisis dalam sebuah situasi sehingga diperoleh sebuah pola yang menuju pada generalisasi. Kemampuan ini penting untuk dimiliki siswa karena penalaran aljabar dalam penggunaannya dapat mengeksplorasi struktur matematika.  Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran aljabar adalah model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA). Pada penelitian mengkaji sumber data berupa 1 buku dan 22 artikel yang relevan dengan kemampuan penalaran aljabar dan model pembelajaran MEA. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Berdasarkan hasil kajian diperoleh bahwa Model MEA mendukung dalam mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran aljabar. Langkah-langkah pada pembelajaran MEA mendukung untuk setiap indikator dari kemampuan penalaran aljabar.This research is a literature study to describe the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model to developed algebraic reasoning ability. Algebraic reasoning ability is the ability to think mathematics by involved the process of representation, reasoning, analysis in a situation so that a pattern that leads to generalization is obtained. This ability is important for students to have because, it use can explore the mathematical structures. One of the learning models that can be implemented to develop algebraic reasoning ability is the Means End Analysis (MEA) learning model. In this study, the data sources were examined in the form of 1 book and 22 articles relevant to algebraic reasoning ability and the MEA learning model. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the MEA Model supports the development of algebraic reasoning ability. The steps in the MEA learning support for each indicator of the algebraic reasoning ability.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematis level 3 dan level 4 pada siswa berusia 15 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan penelitian terbatas di SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat..Subjek dipilih 3 siswa berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan matematika yang berbeda, kemampuan matematika dikelompokkan menjadi siswa berkemampuan tinggi (ST), siswa berkemampuan sedang (SS), dan siswa berkemampuan rendah (SR). Instrumen utama dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri, tes, dan non tes berupa tes kemampuan literasi matematis level 3 dan level 4, serta pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, capaian indikator kemampuan literasi matematis level 3 dan level 4 belum tercapai, namun aspek literasi matematis sudah terbiasa dilakukan oleh siswa SMP di Kabupaten Bandung Barat.Tidak terbiasanya siswa menyelesaikan soal dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari yang kompleks, menjadi faktor yang banyak ditemukan pada siswa SMP. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Literasi Matematis Level 3 dan Level 4
