Abstract

Education in SMK if harmonized with the business world and industry world (BW/IW) is a synergistic relationship that greatly supports improving the quality of education in SMK, producing graduates who will be used by BW/IW. Industrial work practice is a stage of professional preparation in which a student studies in the industrial world for a certain period of time. Self-efficacy is a child's natural need to think highly of himself. The first conclusion produced was the implementation of the apprenticeship to meet the needs of workers in accordance with the field, the collaboration between the school and the industrial world, the readiness of student knowledge and good communication between the school and the business world. After that the aspect of the evaluation in the apprenticeship program is a change in student scores when tested, a positive response from the industrial world and an evaluation of the guidance of the assistant teacher internship. Secondly, self-efficacy has a positive effect on prakerin in vocational student entrepreneurship activities.

Abstract

In August 2017, there were 7.4 million educated unemployed including vocational graduates. Why are there so many educated unemployed. Are there no vocational high school (SMK) graduates who can become entrepreneurs? The Vocational High School is the right place to develop entrepreneurship education. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the Business Center that can increase vocational entrepreneurship readiness. This research was conducted through a literature review and relevant research results and continued through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data analysis technique used is descriptive-qualitative analysis technique. The study found that the Business Center can increase the entrepreneurial readiness of vocational students, which means that increasing the entrepreneurial readiness of vocational students can be done through improving skills through the Business Center.

Abstract

The 4.0 industrial revolution is currently underway, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is an industry that combines automation technology with cyber-physical technology. In accordance with the objectives of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which was coined by Professor Klaus Schwab, a German economist and founder of the World Economic Forum, that the world would be focused on increasing production by utilizing the latest technology. Technological progress is faster then humans should be able to adapt faster. The challenges and opportunities of industry 4.0 greatly impacted people's lives, one of which was the problem of unemployment. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of Krian 1 Vocational School Students to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Criteria for measuring industry readiness 4.0 A method that compares the skills possessed by vocational students and the demands of life in the 21st century that have been reviewed by several experts. The study found that: (1) improvement of the learning process in vocational schools in the context of facing the 21st century and the 4.0 revolution and (2) improving the quality of teachers related to 21st century skills demands.

Abstract

Industry 4.0 is the state of the industry in the face of the 21st century when there is a massive change through technology that opens a barrier between the digital and physical worlds. There will be many types of jobs lost, and new types of jobs will emerge. Faced with this, high mastery skills are required by graduates. In vocational high schools the mastery of skills is done by sending students directly into industrial work practices. But are IWP activities really able to be used to improve skills in dealing with Industry 4.0? What types of skills students must master when dealing with industry 4.0 This article will conduct a study of various related literature about IWP and industry 4.0. The results of the study will link the effects resulting from IWP activities and needs in industry 4.0. The results of the study indicate that the IWP program in vocational high schools needs some improvement to be able to produce vocational high school graduates who are ready to face industry 4.0.

Abstract

AbstractIndonesia with a population of more than 200 million people, has an obligation to produce quality human resources to be able to compete with other countries. The problem currently faced is the high level of open unemployment, especially in SMK graduates. One way to improve the quality of human resources is by providing innovation in the learning process, especially in the field of vocational learning. Learning that can be applied in vocational education is learning based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The purpose of this study is to describe more deeply about STEM learning as an innovative learning process that can be applied in vocational learning. The study was conducted using the literature review method of relevant research references and results, which were continued through focus group discussions (FGD). This study obtained the results of (1) STEM learning successfully applied both abroad and domestically; (2) it can improve students' creativity and critical thinking; (3) STEM learning can be integrated with learning models such as Project Based Learning, Problem Based Learning and cooperative learning; (4) Make students more confident in their future careers; and (5) STEM learning is very suitable for use in 21st century learning, especially in the vocational field so that STEM learning can be used as a solution in improving the quality of human resources and developing 21st century skills skills and in accordance with the objectives of vocational learning Keywords : STEM, Innovation, Learning, Vocational

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu sistem yang diciptakan untuk terlaksananya pembelajaran yang terdiri dari proses pengajaran dan belajar dengan harapan dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Untuk dapat mencapai tujuan tersebut dapat dilakukan upaya dengan optimalisasi pestasi belajar siswa. Pertanyaan yang diajukan yakni “apakah sikap kemandirian belajar dapat mengoptimalkan prestasi belajar siswa?” dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sikap kemandirian belajar dapat mengoptimalkan prestasi belajar ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. Melalui kajian literatur beberapa referensi dan penelitian yang relevan, analisa hasil penelitian, dan kemudian dilaksanakan focus group discussion. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Optimalisasi hasil belajar dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa khususnya jurusan multimedia; (2) Adapun peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai langkah seperti perencanaan pembelajaran yang lebih mengarah pada penumbuhan sikap belajar secara mandiri baik berbantuan media atau kolaborasi metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi; (3) Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran untuk optimalisasi hasil belajar melalui sikap kemandirian belajar perlu mempertimbangkan berbagai hal seperti sarana prasarana serta kelengkapan pembelajaran baik pihak sekolah maupun siswa.
