Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of statistical reasoning ability of students who take the course of industry-based statistics eksperiential learning. This study is a quasi-experimental study, in which there are two classes. One class as an experimental class that accepts experiential learning learning and a control class as a comparative class. The population of this study is industrial engineering students, with samples of industrial engineering students who contract industrial statistics courses. By using lecture syntax consisting of stages of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation. At the beginning and end of the study students are given a statistical skills reasoning test. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively. The result of the study that the class that received experimental learning learning is good for the students of statistics. Keywords: Statistical Reasoning, Experiential Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the lack of ability of student teachers of mathematics FKIP University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in developing worksheets and media exploratory hands on activity. Based on observations in the course clump of learning (planning, strategies and evaluation) and the implementation of microteaching done by the students, obtained the fact that students in developing a worksheet is a collection of questions and do not require the capability of understanding the concept of the student. In addition, student teachers are still rarely use the media in learning, due to difficulties in designing and creating instructional media. Hence the need for teaching material that can be used as guides student teachers to develop explorative and media worksheet hands on activity. Thus the formulation of the problem and the purpose of this study is how to develop teaching material based worksheets and media exploratory hands on activity. The method used in this research is the development method includes preliminary studies, draft development, testing and development of the final product.The results of this research is a module consisting of four units, units of learning theory, the difference unit worksheets and job sheets, media unit hands on activity and worksheet exploratory unit. In each unit consists of several sub-units that correspond to the unit. Based on the results of expert testing and limited trials showed that the worksheet-based development modules exploratory and hands on activity worthy of media used. Keywords: Teaching Material, Worksheet Explorative, Media Hands on Activuty

Abstract

The background of the research is based on the fact that problem solving skills and its process is still low so that those create overload information. Another way to overcome this problem is to use a problem-based learning model which concerns on cognitive load theory. This study is aimed to determine on how students' problem solving skills when using a problem-based learning model modified by cognitive load theory. This research method uses a combination of research methods, namely quantitative as primary data and qualitative as secondary data. The population in this study are all students of grade VII Junior High School accredited A in Tangerang Regency. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling and the selected sample is 60 students of Grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Cikupa which divided into experimental class and control class. The instruments in this research are 5 short essay tests and non-tests, questionnaire and interview. Based on data analysis’ result, it can be concluded that the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities which use problem-based learning model modified by cognitive load theory is better than for those using problem-based learning generally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan dari hasil analisis yang ditelah dilakukan. Peserta didik memiliki minat yang rendah pada mata pelajaran matematika, karena guru selaku pendidik hanya mengandalkan sumber belajar yaitu buku untuk menyampaikan materi sehingga peserta didik merasa kesulitan untuk memahami konsep yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan media pembelajaran B-Ruang dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika khusunya materi bangun ruang di kelas V SDN Kedawung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) oleh Sugiyono yang telah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Angket dan dokumentasi digunakan sebagai cara untuk mengumpulkan data. Angket terdiri dari empat angket: ahli media, ahli materi, angket praktisi lapangan, dan angket respon peserta didik. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah media pembelajaran B-Ruang mampu meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran matematika khusunya pada materi bangun ruang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan skor persentase sebesar 88,89% pada kategori “Sangat Baik” berdasarkan interpretasi Ridwan.

Abstract

 ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kelayakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skills di kelas IV sekolah dasar. (2) respon guru terhadap Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skills di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4-D (define, design,. develop, and disseminate). Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Khusus Insan Harapan Jakarta Barat. Instrument yang digunakan berupa angket yaitu skala penilaian untuk mengetahui kelayakan LKPD dengan menggunakan skala likert yang disusun dalam bentuk checklist dari nilai terbesar 4 hingga nilai terkecil. Berdasarkan  hasil validasi yang dilakukan, hasil validasi ahli materi didapatkan rata-rata presentase sebesar 87% dengan kategori sangat layak, validasi ahli media sebesar 89% dengan kategori sangat layak dan rata-rata respon guru di SD Khusus Insan Harapan Jakarta Barat sebesar 99% sehingga LKPD berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skill tersebut memiliki kriteria interpretasi sangat praktis. Kata Kunci: LKPD, Higher Order Thinking Skill.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts, and the lack of use of technology in the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media, and to determine the extent to which students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased after using the developed Smart Apps Creator-based mathematics learning media. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model being the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This study resulted in learning media based on Smart Apps Creator (android application) on mixed arithmetic operations with whole numbers as the subject of research, students of class VI SDN Margahayu IX Bekasi City. The results of the study found that the learning media developed was "Very Appropriate" to be applied to mathematics learning in class VI SD. This is supported by the validation results from media, material, and learning experts with an average feasibility test result of 89.07%. Meanwhile, the results of the student response questionnaires obtained from small group and large group trials obtained an average acquisition result of 98.08% and included the "Very Positive" category. In addition, there was an increase in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts after using learning media, which can be proven by the acquisition of an average n-gain value of 0.7 so that the criteria for "Medium" improvement were obtained.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the less than optimal use of digital learning media. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which aims to produce digital smart book textbooks, test the feasibility of digital smart books and determine the improvement of higher order thinking in 5th grade students of SDIT Laa Tahzan through the development of digital smart books. The development of this product is guided by the Sugiyono model which is modified into six steps including problem analysis, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, to product testing. The digital smart book feasibility test is carried out by material, media and language experts. Validation from the three experts showed the results of "Fair" to "Very Eligible". The results of student responses to digital smart books get a percentage of 96.66% and are included in the "Very Good" category. This is reinforced by obtaining an N-Gain value of 0.506 which is included in the "Medium" criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that digital smart books to improve the higher-order thinking skills of elementary school students have been successfully developed, suitable for use in learning, the responses given by students are supported by increasing higher-order thinking skills in students with the use of digital smart books in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of development, feasibility, and student responses to kinemaster learning videos based on scientific literacy in class V SDN Karundang 2 Serang. This study uses a 4D development model consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data collection techniques used are in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The instruments used were interview sheets, observation sheets, validation questionnaire sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. The results of the research on developing kinemaster learning videos based on scientific literacy obtained an average score of 87.14% from media experts with very decent criteria, material experts 91.76% with very decent criteria, and linguists 82.5% with very good criteria. worthy. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained from small group trials get a score percentage of 87.5% and large group trials get a score percentage of 86.64% including very good criteria. Thus, from the results of this study, it can be concluded that the kinemaster learning video based on scientific literacy for elementary school students was successfully developed, suitable for use in the learning process, and received a good response from students by using this learning video in learning.

Abstract

Konsep-konsep dalam matematika saling berkaitan antara satu dengan yang lainnya, maka siswa perlu memahami konsep dasar matematika secara mendalam. Pemahaman konsep matematika lebih bermakna jika dikontruksi oleh siswa sendiri. Kontruksi konsep matematika merupakan suatu kegiatan aktif yang dilakukan untuk memperoleh atau membangun suatu konsep dalam matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori APOS sebagai kerangka berpikir karena teori ini dapat menguraikan bagaimana kegiatan mental seorang anak yang berbentuk aksi, proses, objek dan skema ketika mengkontruksi konsep matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kontruksi konsep barisan aritmatika dan geometri bagi siswa SMA berdasarkan teori APOS.  Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa di SMA Citra Islami. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan dengan pendekatan APOS Research Cycle. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui 3 tahap yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa melalui empat tahapan mekanisme mental yaitu: interiorization (tahap action menuju tahap process), encapsulation (tahap process menuju tahap object), coordination (tahap process menuju tahap process) dan de-encapsulation (tahap object menuju tahap process).

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep pada materi barisan aritmetika berdasarkan Teori APOS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui dokumentasi, tes dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 1 Legok. Adapun teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika siswa berbeda-beda. Pada siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator dari tahap APOS. Sedangkan pada siswa berkemampuan sedang mampu memenuhi indikator pada tahap aksi dan proses, namun pada tahap objek hanya memenuhi 1 dari 2 indikator, serta masih kurang dalam memenuhi tahap skema. Adapun pada siswa berkemampuan rendah hanya mampu memenuhi indikator tahap aksi serta belum memenuhi indikator tahap proses, objek serta skema.
