Abstract

Background: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of diabetes mellitus complication that increases from year by year. There was 15% diabetes mellitus patients suffered DFU and around 50% DFU patients die within five years. This study aimed to develop the guidelines for preventing diabetic foot ulcer. Data collection was carried out from March to April 2017. There were 40 nurses included in this study which are working at IPD of city hospital in Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia. Methods: Tools for data collection included guideline for DFU prevention and guideline manual for nurses, while tools for outcome evaluation included Nursing competency for DFU prevention form, Nurse Opinion Questionnaire and Nurse Agreement on Guideline. The content validity of the Nurse Opinion Questionnaire was 1.0 and Nursing Competency for DFU prevention was 1.0. The internal consistency of Nurse Agreement on Guideline using Cronbach?s alpha was 0.89. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. Results: The guidelines of DFU prevention in DM patients who admitted into the hospital has been developed, and most nurses provided the expected response. Some nurses agreed and highly agreed with the guidelines. Conclusions: The guidelines of DFU prevention are useful and important for nursing practice. Nurses can use the guidelines to protect and prevent their DM patient from diabetic foot ulcer or infection. In addition, some recommendations for nursing practice and further study were proposed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure with systolic and diastolic values showing more than 130/80 mmHg. There are two principles of hypertension management, the administration of antihypertensive drugs and lifestyle modification. Lifestyle modification that can be done is physical activity that is yoga exercises. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of yoga exercises on the blood pressure of elderly patients with hypertension at the working area of Banjar Serasan Health Centre Methods: This research was a quantitative study with a true experiment research design. The population in this study was the elderly with hypertension in the working area of the Banjar Serasan Community Health Center, including 32 participants selected according to inclusion criteria. Analysis of the data used were paired sample t test and independent sample t test. Results: Based on the paired sample t test, the results showed that there were differences in average of blood pressure values before and after yoga exercises given to the intervention group with a p value (0.000) on systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and there were no difference in the average of blood pressure values before and after yoga exercises given to the control group with p value (0.233) on systolic blood pressure and p value (0.144) on diastolic blood pressure. Based on the Independent sample t test, the results showed that there were no difference in the average of the intervention group with the control group with a p value (0.121) on systolic blood pressure and p value (0.995) on diastolic blood pressure. Conclusion: Yoga exercises effectively reduce blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension Keywords: Hypertension, elderly, yoga exercises, blood pressure   ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Hipertensi adalah kenaikan tekanan darah dengan nilai sistolik dan diastolik menunjukkan angka lebih dari 130/80 mmHg. Terdapat dua prinsip penatalaksanaan hipertensi yaitu dengan pemberian obat-obatan antihipertensi dan modifikasi gaya hidup. Salah satu modifikasi gaya hidup yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan aktivitas fisik yaitu senam yoga. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui efektivitas senam yoga terhadap tekanan darah lansia penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Banjar Serasan Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian true experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Banjar Serasan, diantaranya 32 partisipan dipilih sesuai kriteria inklusi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis bivariat yaitu uji paired sample t test dan uji independent sample t test. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji Paired sample t test menunjukkan hasil terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai tekanan darah sebelum dan sesudah diberikan senam yoga pada kelompok intervensi dengan p value (0,000) pada tekanan darah sistolik maupun diastolik serta tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai tekanan darah sebelum dan sesudah diberikan senam yoga pada kelompok kontrol dengan p value (0,233) pada tekanan darah sistolik dan p value (0,144) pada tekanan darah diastolik. Abstract

Abstract Background: In Mempawah District the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding programs reached 60.7%. It can be an indicator of maternal compliance giving exclusive breastfeeding to infants and an illustration that there are still many babies aged <6 months who have received weaning food.Objective: To determine the factors related to maternal behavior to the appropriate time of weaning food in Madura tribe at the working area of Antibar health centre. Method: This type of research was quantitative with cross-sectional research design and retrospective approach. The sample selection technique used non probability sampling with consecutive sampling method for 76 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire method that had been validated. Data analysis used were univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi Square statistical tests.Results: There were no relationship between knowledge (p = 0,234, OR = 4,350, 95%CI = 0,497-38,110), education (p = 1,000, OR = 1,170, 95%CI = 0,210-6,510), and employment (p = 1,000 , OR = 1,527, 95%CI = 0,170-13,740) with maternal behavior to the appropriate time of weaning food. Family support had an important role in maternal behavior to the appropriate time of weaning food. Conclusion: Most respondents gave weaning food that inappropriate as many as 69 respondents (90.8%). This may be related to the existence of other factors of knowledge, education, employment and family support that influence the mother's decision to give weaning food to the baby. Abstrak Latar Belakang: Di Kabupaten Mempawah cakupan program ASI eksklusif mencapai 60,7%. Hal ini dapat menjadi indikator kepatuhan ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayi dan merupakan gambaran bahwa masih banyak bayi usia < 6 bulan yang sudah mendapatkan MP-ASI. Tujuan: Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku ibu dalam ketepatan waktu pemberian MP-ASI pada suku Madura di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Antibar. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional dan pendekatan retrospektif. Tehnik pemilihan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling dengan metode consecutive sampling pada 76 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan metode kuesioner yang telah tervalidasi. Analisa data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistik Chi Square. Hasil : Tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan (p=0,234, OR=4,350, 95%CI=0,497-38,110), pendidikan (p=1,000, OR=1,170, 95%CI=0,210-6,510), dan pekerjaan (p=1,000, OR=1,527, 95%CI=0,170-13,740) dengan perilaku ibu dalam ketepatan waktu pemberian MP-ASI. Dukungan keluarga berperan penting terhadap perilaku ibu dalam ketepatan waktu pemberian MP-ASI. Kesimpulan : Sebagian besar responden memberikan MP-ASI tidak tepat sebesar 69 orang responden (90,8%). Hal ini kemungkinan berhubungan dengan adanya faktor lain di luar pengetahuan, pendidikan, pekerjaan dan dukungan keluarga yang mempengaruhi keputusan ibu dalam memberikan MP-ASI pada bayi. Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, Pendidikan, Pekerjaan, Dukungan Keluarga, Perilaku Ibu Dalam Ketepatan Waktu Pemberian MP-ASI.

Abstract

Background : The snacking food is one kind of the food that is very famous among the children in the school age. It?s still really lack of attention in selection the snacking food especially for the children in school age, both in terms of safety and hygiene of that snacking food. The dangerous of snacking food has a very bad risk for the healthiness. It can be happen because of the lack of education for the children in choosing which one is the good snacking food that is safe to consume and which one has the bad risk for the healthiness. In other way, it?s required the education of healthiness to build the tradition of healthy life style toward the students. One of them is by counseling. Purpose : To identify the effect of health education towards the levels of student knowledge about the healthy snacking food in grade 5 at 21 Sungai Raya elementary school. Research Method : This research is a research using the quasi experiment by the design of pre and post without control. In this research, the sample is taken by using the purposive sampling. In this research, there are 60 (sixty) respondents and the analysis  that is used by the researcher is Wilcoxon. Result : Based on the statistic test, there are the differences of knowledge before and after given the health education. Conclusion : based on the result of the study, it can be taken the conclusion that there is the influence of health education towards the levels of student knowledge about  the healthy snacking food in grades 5 at 21 Sungai Raya, elementary school.           ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Makanan jajanan merupakan salah satu jenis makanan yang sangat dikenal oleh anak usia sekolah. Dalam hal pemilihan makanan jajanan untuk anak usia sekolah masih kurang memperhatikan segi keamanan dan kebersihan makanan jajanan tersebut. Makanan jajanan yang berbahaya mempunyai resiko terhadap kesehatan. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan anak mengenai makanan jajanan yang aman untuk dikonsumsi. Diperlukan pendidikan kesehatan untuk menanamkan kebiasaan hidup sehat pada siswa yaitu salah satunya dengan penyuluhan. Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa kelas 5 (lima) SD Negeri 21 sungai raya tentang jajanan sehat. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment dengan rancangan pre and post test without ocntrol. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling, teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel ini adalah nonprobability sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 responden dan analisis yang digunakan uji adalah wilcoxon. Hasil: Berdasarkan dari uji statistik terdapat perubahan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan ( P<0,05). Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa kelas 5 (lima) SD Negeri 21 tentang jajanan sehat.
