Abstract

The Indonesian nation has recently experienced a decline in the quality of the nation’s character, especially in discipline so that it is necessary to plant and apply character education as early as possible to children. One of the excellent extracurricular activities to form the character of student discipline is the scouting activity. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the process of implementing student discipline character education through scout extracurricular activities. The approach used is qualitative descriptive type with data collection techniques using interview, observation, questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis in this research was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study, in the process of implementing disciplined character education through scouting activities namely by giving examples of exemplary attitudes to students, not giving physical punishment, teaching and learning activities carried out using the principle of spring but humor. The results of the process of implementing disciplined character education for students by using the interview and observation methods are more controlled attitude of delinquency on student, more discipline on time, self discipline, discipline in asking permission, discipline in obyeing school rules. While from the questionnaire method the results obtained are that the discipline implemented through scout activities is in the category of very disciplined with the percentage system 93,16%.

Abstract

The problem that is the focus of the study is the passive learning conditions of students because the teacher explains the material using the old style. The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of quizlet aplication-based flashcard media to the thematic learning outcomes of grade IV elementary school students on traditional clothing materials in Indonesia. The research method used pre experimental with one group pretest posttest design. Subject of this research were 32 students in class IV of SDN Kepanjen 1 Jombang school year 2019/2020. Data collection techniques using the test. The data analysis results using the t-test formula. Students are given test before and after learning with quizlet-based flashcard media, from the pretest and posttest conducted, the average results of pretest 50.88 and the average posttest 79.38. Based on the t test results it is known that tcount > ttable or (12.18) > (2.04). Therefore, Ha is accepted while Ho is rejected. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of used quizlet aplication-based flashcard media learning outcomes of the themes 7 subthemes Beautiful Cultural Diversity of My State Culture” students of grade IV SDN Kepanjen 1 Jombang in 2020.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to determine the result of the influence of Audio-visual-based animation media on learning the students of the third grade Elementary School on a 7 subthemes learning energy source 1. This type of research uses pre-experimental research subject in the third grade SDN Kepanjen 1 Jombang for experimental class. Data collecting technique uses observation, documentation and tests. The results of data analysis techniques show that by using audio-visual based animation media the learning process is more meaningful and students do not feel bored. Animation is a moving picture accompanied by sound, arranged in orderly manner following the set of motion at each additional count of time. The audio-visual-based animation is made through the powtoon applications. from the pretest and posttest they got the average score of pretest was 67.88 and posttest was 81.92. it can be concluded that there was a positive influence on the use of audiovisual- based animation media on learning of a 7 subthemes learning energy source 1.

Abstract

Role Play Model is a way of mastering teaching materials through the development of imagination and appreciation of students by playing as a character. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the learning process of the Role Play model in social learning of grade 5 in Kedawong Public Elementary School in Jombang for the academic year of 2019/2020 (2) the results of social learning of grade 5 in Kedawong Public Elementary School in Jombang for the academic year of 2019/2020, and (3) the students' responses after learning the Role Play model in social learning of grade 5 in Kedawong Public Elementary School in Jombang for the academic year of 2019/2020. This research design is applied research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The sources of data obtained came from teacher and students of grade 5, and the school principal of the school. The subjects population were the fifth grade students. The object study was the application of role play model. Based on the results of research in the application of role play models from the first to third meeting shows that the learning process runs well and effectively. The student learning outcomes data showed that after being given the Role Play model, the student learning outcomes have increased at each meeting.

Abstract

In the science learning, we often use conventional method and learning evaluation which only assesses the results of individual assignments. So, the science learning is less varied and also less in increasing the students’ achievement. The purpose of this study is to identify the student learning outcomes before and after using group assignment method and to determine the effect of learning outcomes using group assignment method. The research approach used is quantitative experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection techniques is in the form of test, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is validity test, reliability test, normality test and hypothesis test. The results showed that the learning outcomes of the average score of students in the pretest was 69.33 and the posttest was 87.26. The results of the analysis showed that the pretest and posttest with paired sample t test by using SPSS version 16 known Sig values. (2-tailed) is 0,000 <0.05. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which means there is influence of the group assignment method on the learning outcomes of Grade V students in science learning.

Abstract

Hasyim Asy'ari University is a pioneer university in Indonesia based on Islamic boarding schools which was built with intelligence of the heart, and maximizes all the potential of human intelligence (multiple intelligences), so that it is able to give birth to a superior generation who has faith, has noble character, and masters science and technology correctly and correctly. useful in society and the nation, but it is very ironic when this goal has not been achieved, because what happens in the field, there are still many students who do not understand the importance of lectures and there is still low awareness of the learning environment such as lack of discipline, being late for class, chatting during lectures, responsibility for college assignments is low, especially in music education courses. The author's goal is to implement Islamic boarding school-based character education in music education, which is expected to be able to revolutionize the mentality of students. The writing procedure used is the Kemmis & Taggart model class action writing, collaborative writing. This writing uses descriptive analysis method. The results of the implementation of Islamic boarding school- based character education in learning music education in the beginning received a poor response from students, but after walking students experienced changes in attitudes and behavior, and began to know the importance of studying and studying. The conclusion of this paper is that through the implementation of Islamic boarding school-based character education in music education courses, it is able to instill character values in students, these character values include; independence/toughness, cooperation, honesty and discipline as well as being active and diligent in studying.Â
