Abstract

Anemia is a health problem in this world, especially in developing countries where an estimated 30% of the world population suffers from anemia. Pregnant women are the most vulnerable to malnutrition because there is an increase in nutritional needs to meet the mothers and a fetus needs during pregnancy. One of the alternatives to overcome iron deficiency anemia is the fortification of foods that are consumed by many people, namely sweet potatoes. The aims of this research was to determine the effect of consumption of sweet potatoes processing on hemoglobin levels of multiparous mothers. This research was conducted for 1 year consisting of the first stage, namely determining the research sample based on the criteria of 32 samples, the second stage was giving informed consent and determining the intervention given, the third stage with the type of research used was Quasi-Experimental research with pretest-posttest only control group design, The design was to measure the hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention giving sweet potatoes for 2 weeks in the control group and the intervention group. The fourth stage was processing the data by using the paired T-test and independent T-test. The results of statistical tests used the paired T-test showed that in the control group the value of ρ = 0.005 <α = 0.05 and the intervention group ρ = 0.000 <α = 0.05. And the results of statistical tests used the independent T-test obtained a value of ρ = 0.008 <α = 0.05, which means that there is an influence between sweet potatoes procesing and an increase of Hb levels for multiparous pregnant women at Minasa Upa Public Health Center of Makassar.

Abstract

Research on "the effect of Trichoderma harzianum as a biological agent for the growth and health of vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) seedlings against Fusarium oxysporum". Starting September-November 2020, in Klodran Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. The research used factorial method with the basic pattern of Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 2 treatment factors and repeated 3 times. Factor 1). Trichoderma harzianum treatment frequency 3 levels, namely: 4 days (F1), 7 days (F2) and 10 days (F3). Factor 2) Trichoderma harzianum concentration treatment with three levels, namely: Trichoderma harzianum concentration 1 ml / l water (K1), Trichoderma harzianum concentration 5 ml / l water (K2) and Trichoderma harzianum concentration 9 ml / l water (K3). Data analysis with F-test for analysis of variance, Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) if significantly different. The frequency of Trichoderma harzianum application had a very significant effect on shoot length, number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight and disease intensity. The best treatment for growth and health of vanilla plants was given Trichoderma harzianum, the frequency of Trichoderma harzianum every 4 days. The concentration of Trichoderma harzianum had a very significant effect on shoot length, number of leaves and disease intensity, fresh and dry plant weight. The growth and health of vanilla plants, the concentration of Trichoderma harzianum that best matches the Trichoderma harzianum concentration of 9 ml / l of water

Abstract

The estuary of the Kurau Watershed (DAS) has domestic activities. The problem that commonly occurs in river mouths is the emergence of sediment, which causes disruption of water flow upstream and can cause flooding. Kurau waters have considerable water resources, but it is also decreasing year on year. This study aimed to determine the sedimentation rate, TSS, and the type of sediment texture in Kurau waters, Central Bangka. Sedimentation rate data was obtained using a sediment trap. Analysis of TSS (Total Suspended Solid) and sediment texture using gravimetric and pipette methods. The sedimentation rate in Kurau waters is not high based on weight, namely 0.03-0.14 mg/cm²/day, and volume with a value range of 0.13-0.58 cm/day. The concentration of TSS on the surface of Kurau waters based on PP no. 22/2021 has not passed the seawater quality standard with a TSS concentration of 0.03-0.04 mg/L. Kurau waters have various types of sediment texture, namely sand with a percentage ranging from 6.54-78.33%, dust with a percentage of 14.72-45.74%, and clay with a percentage of 6.94-47.72%. The sedimentary textures in Kurau waters are dusty clay, loamy sand, and loamy clay.
