Abstract

In general, problems that occur in the actual are the discovery of instruments that have not been tested for problem solving abilities. The aim of this research is to reveal the content validity and interrater reliability of the instrument for evaluating the problem solving abilities that have been prepared. The research method is used a quantitative description by 3 expert judgments, they are experts in research and evaluation, mathematics education experts, and mathematics teachers. The instrument was developed in the form of an expert observation sheet with 3 aspects of assessment, they are the aspect of content eligibility, construction aspects, and language aspects, which of each aspect has 4 categories, which are very relevant, relevant, quite relevant, and highly irrelevant. Data were analyzed using the Aiken's V formula to determine the level of instrument validity and to determine the level of consistency / constancy between assessors using Instraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) analysis with the help of SPSS version 23.0. the results of analysis of the content validity of all items valued above 0.3 which means that all aspects assessed by experts are valid. Interrater reliability test using ICC obtained a value of 0.516, which means that all aspects of the instrument for evaluating problem solving abilities that have been rated have a level of consistency. Thus, the instrument of problem-solving ability that has been tested for validity and reliability can be used by educators to determine the level of students' problem solving abilities appropriately

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause bullying behavior among students and how to solve it. This study was employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Sources of data were taken through in-depth interviews with twenty informants consisting of elementary school students, junior high schools, senior high schools, principals, teachers, school security guards, education observers and parents of students. All interview data were then analyzed thematically using NVivo 10 quality analysis software. Overall, the study found nine important themes. Four themes related to the factors causing bullying behavior, namely: i) entrenched beliefs among students, ii) physical differences between the perpetrator and the victim, iii) discipline by seniors to juniors and iv) the condition of the victim's physical disability and weakness. Five themes related to solutions to tackling the problem of bullying, namely i) giving firm action to the perpetrator, ii) eliminating television shows related to violence, iii) equipping children with martial arts, iv) providing continuous education about the dangers of bullying, and v) instilling mutual respect in children.

Abstract

Masih rendahnya kemampuan kreativitas peserta didik kerena pendidik belum menerapkan metode yang dapat melatih kemampuan kreativitas peserta didik. Maka dibutuhkan perbaikan proses pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas peserta didik melalui metode Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) menggunakan Mind Mapping dalam meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) menggunakan mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar (SD)”. Jenis penelitian ini studi kepustakaan (Library Research). Teknik pengumpula data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan non tes, yaitu dengan menelusuri jurnal elektronik melalui Google Cendekia atau Google Scholar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian dari delapan jurnal yang digunakan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam gambaran hasil metode CIRC dan metode mind mapping terhadap meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik sangat membantu pendidik dalam proses pembelajaran dan pembelajaran lebih efektif. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran metode CIRC dan mind mapping dalam pembelajaran lebih berpusat kepada peserta didik, sehingga menciptakan suasana yang aktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar PKn peserta didik kelas III SDN 27 Koto BaruKabupaten Pesisir Selatan masih banyak yang belum mencapai KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) yaitu 70,00. Berdasarkan hasil Ujian Mid Semester PKn peserta didik yang dinyatakan tuntas sebanyak 7 orang dan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 13 orang.Hal ini disebabkan karena peserta didik menganggap PKn merupakan pelajaran yang sifatnya hafalan dan membosankan, proses pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada pendidik, sehingga membuat peserta didik kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran PKn, dan pendidik kurang menggunakan media pembelajaran  yang menarik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh media komik terhadap hasil belajar PKn serta dapat melihat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan media komik di kelas III SDN 27Koto Baru Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Pra Eksperimen. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest – Posttest Desain, yaitu eksperimen yang dilakukan terhadap satu kelompok saja, tanpa kelompok pembanding. Sampel pada penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas III SDN 27 Koto Baru Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Instrument yang digunakan adalah berupa tes Objektif sebanyak 10 soal. Teknik pengolahan data hasil belajar PKn yaitu dengan menghitung efektifitas treatment dengan uji -t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor tes hasil belajar sebelum perlakuan (pretest) adalah  54,5  dan  rata-rata  skor  tes  hasil  belajar  setelah  perlakuan  (Posttest)  adalah  78. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t dan diperoleh  t hitung = 7,02 dan t tabel = 1,729, sehingga disimpulkan t hitung > t tabel (7,02 > 1,729). Berarti perubahan hasil belajar peserta  didik  antara  pretest  dan  posttest  sangat  signifikan.Hal  ini  membuktikan  bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar setelah menerapkan media komik pada pembelajaran PKn peserta didik kelas III SDN 27 Koto Baru Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the problems are how the position, condition, standardization, accusation, and protection of Islamic institutions higher education to services customer’s or student in Indonesia and how is learning system and developing science in this age and challenges facing Islamic institution of higher education and the expectations and strategies to deal accretion. The method uses library research, observation to document, literature, discussion, and interview with experts about LPTI. The research finding is the 21st century is the age globalization. It takes to impact on interdependencies, competition, and advances in science, information and communication technology on institution of Islamic higher education. Interdependention describe the something happened in a country correlated with other country. This condition has to change of paradigm at management of institution higher education that the society make it is corporate has to protects and the best accusation and quickly services to customers. The conclusion are (1) the expectation that Islamic higher education must remain firm lying to the main foundations, the Qur'an and Hadith, and pay attention to and strengthen the teaching of Arabic and must be able to prove the truth of the foundation in human/community life and in addition to (2) Islamic higher educational must enter the official level of quality standards, and in the end (3) Islamic higher education make themselves as higher education research that aims to change the real (research to cange of emancipartory). Abstract

Choosing a career as an Early Childhood Education Teacher is both challenging and joyful. Not everyone is interested in this profession except for those who have strong motivation. This study aims to identify students’ exact motivation to select the Early Childhood Education Department at Public University. This study uses combined qualitative and quantitative methods (exploratory mixed methods design). Sources of qualitative data were taken from twenty informants through in-depth interviews and analyzed using NVivo 10 analysis software, while sources of quantitative data were taken from a hundred correspondents and analyzed using SPSS 20 software. Both qualitative and quantitative data analyses showed that students have seven motivations to select the Early Childhood Education Department. Those seven motivations are: i) parents encouragement (81%); ii) job opportunities after graduation (83%); iii) loving kids (85%); iv) teaching is a noble profession (100%); self-will (70%); vi) the choice to be a teacher (76%); and vii) Early Childhood Education is not difficult, but joyful (80%). The study has successfully revealed seven students’ motivations for selecting the Early Childhood Education Department at Public University. This study’s results can be used as preliminary data for subsequent researchers to examine this problem in different contexts and issues. This study’s findings need to be continued by the next researcher by examining the correlation between motivational aspects with various other variables. However, this data can also be used as an initial reference for examining the issues and problems in different contexts.

Abstract

Islamic studies in public university are merely learnt by college students during one term, meanwhile, the Islamic studies is indeed expected to form the intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual intelligences. However, these intelligence’s types are not easy to be reached in a relatively short time since the deep study is required to be done to view the progress. In relation toward this research, the researcher only focuses to the discussion of the achievement aspect of social brilliance after finishing the Islamic studies. This research used the quantitative method by using survey as a rapprochement. The source of the data was taken through questionnaire that was filled in by four hundred students who had accomplished their studies in one of the public universities in Indonesia. The data were then analyzed descriptively by using SPSS 18.0 version. Overall, the research’s result depicted those Islamic studies during study has been able to form six of social intelligence and they are 1) increasing the attitude to help each other, 2) appreciating the other people’s view, 3) behaving well, 4) speaking politely, 5) being able to keep the relationship with new friends, and 6) respecting the older people. From this research, it can be concluded that although the students studied the Islamic studies concisely, otherwise the result showed that the students had righteous impression and it was capable to construct the student’s social intelligence, as it is known that the social intelligence is one of the key success to accomplish the study in university.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena peneliti menemukan beberapa permasalahan terkait pengembangan budaya Islami yang masih belum berjalan secara keseluruhan. Peran kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan budaya Islami sebenarnya sudah dilaksanakan secara maksimal namun masih terdapat hal yang perlu ditingkatkan dan dibenahi lagi mengingat masih ditemukannya peserta didik yang tidak melaksanakan budaya Islami secara keseluruhan. Oleh sebab itulah peran kepala sekolah harus dimaksimalkan lagi terutama dalam mengembangkan budaya Islami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah dapat mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam membuat perencanaan program mengembangkan budaya Islami; peran kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan program mengembangkan budaya Islami; peran kepala sekolah dalam mengevaluasi program mengembangkan budaya Islami di SMP IT Cahaya Makkah Pasaman Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan: (1) peran kepala sekolah dalam membuat perencanaan program mengembangkan budaya Islami sangatlah besar perannya. Karena kepala sekolah adalah pemimpin, sehingga ialah yang berhak untuk memutuskan atau menetapkan suatu program yang dirancang. (2) peran kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan program mengembangkan budaya Islami sudah maksimal dilaksanakan. Sebab sebagai pemimpin ia juga melaksanakan program budaya Islami tersebut, kemudian ia menerapkannya kepada guru dan karyawan, sehingga lebih mudah nantinya ketika mengajarkan kepada peserta didik terkait program budaya Islami tersebut. (3) peran kepala sekolah dalam mengevaluasi program mengembangkan budaya Islami yaitu kepala sekolah melakukannya sendiri juga dibantu oleh guru dan karyawan. Dalam melakukan evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan program budaya Islami, kepala sekolah melakukannya cara memantau, mengawasi dan mengontrol segala aktivitas terkait pelaksanaan program budaya Islami.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan Instrumen Asesmen HOTS yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Model pengembangan ini adalah Plomp yang terdiri dari 3 tahap, yaitu penelitian pendahuluan (Preliminary reseach), fase pengembangan atau prototipe (development of prototype phase), dan fase penilaian (Assesment phase). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket validitas, angket praktikalitas, dan angket efektifitas. Uji validitas asesmen HOTS diberikan kepada 3 orang validator ahli dinilai dari aspek materi, media, dan bahasa. Uji praktikalitas asesmen HOTS diberikan kepada 2 orang pendidik fisika dan 20 orang peserta didik dinilai dari aspek kemudahan dan keterbacaan soal dalam pelaksanaan tes. Uji efektifitas diujikan kepada 20 orang peserta didik kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Padang dengan memberikan asesmen HOTS. Hasil penelitian ini telah dihasilkan asesmen HOTS yang valid, praktis dan efektif. asesmen HOTS tersebut valid baik dari segi materi, media dan bahasa dengan nilai rata-rata 87,10% dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan soal HOTS Fisika tersebut mempunyai nilai rata-rata yaitu 80,6% dengan kategori praktis, sedangkan untuk keefektifan produk dilihat dari segi angket memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 82,6% dengan kategori sangat efektif, sedangkan untuk asesmen HOTS diperoleh efektifitas soal sebesar 79,8% dengan kategori efektif. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa Asesmen Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Berbantuan Aplikasi Lectora Inspire Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Berpikir Kreatif Peserta Didik memenuhi criteria valid, praktis dan efektif.
