Abstract

Concrete is a building material used widely in construction because of the advantages it has. One of the very specific characteristics of concrete is that it withstands the force/compressive stress, but does not withstand the concrete tensile strength. There are various innovations have been made to improve the ability of the concrete tensile, such as reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and fibre concrete. In this study, the fiber used as a mixture of concrete, fiber used is ironwood fiber (Eusideroxylon zwageri) which is an industrial waste from sawmills. The addition of 5%, 10%, and 15% ironwood fiber showed its influence to the concrete compressive strength and tensile. Percentage increase in optimum compressive strength and tensile strength of the concrete cylinders occurs in variation with the addition of 5% kayu ulin fiber, which is 14.2% higher when compared to concrete without fibers, with an average compressive strength of 30.76 MPa. For tensile strength of concrete, it reachs 3,545 MPa or 2.63% higher than the concrete without fibers. For the addition of ironwood fiber variation by 10% and 15% showed an increase in the tensile strength of concrete, but a decrease in the compressive strength of concrete. The experimental results also showed that the addition of fiber will reduce workability of concrete.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education and graduates of FKIP Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin can not be separated from the new paradigm of education which includes 5 (five) pillars, namely quality, autonomy, accountability, accreditation, and evaluation. Implementation of the new paradigm concept is to give autonomy to higher education institutions in this case is Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP Unparfor academic missions of education, research, and community service. However, Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP Unparrequired to be accountable in terms of academic grades and performance managementso that the resulting quality as the impact of goal achievement and autonomy in the form of competency should be maintained through quality assurance both external (accreditation) and internal (self-evaluation). In academic terms, graduates of Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP Unparmust prepare for the challenges of education in the form of demands mastery of information technology and pedagogical skills in the scientific approach adopted in the 2013 curriculum for primary and secondary levels of education.

Abstract

The increasing population of vehicles had a direct impact of more and more fuel consumptions. This resulted in the emerges of two serious threats which is firstly economic factor related to the supply of oil fuel that is decreasing and second threat is the environment factor which is pollution from oil fuel burning directly or indirectly in the form of dangerous gas such as CO2, NOx, dan UHC (UnburnHydro Carbon), and also indirect pollution in the form of global warming potential as the result of the explosion of CO2 concentration in the atmosphere.In relation with that, it deemed important to conduct a research by adding a fan in the intake manifold. Fan is a device that can give an effect of turbulent flow in a cylinder hence it can perfect the fuel burning. By this the consumption will be less and less dangerous pollution.This is atrue experimental research. To get to know the fuel spesific consumption and exhausted gas emission (CO, O2, CO2) in the 4-stroke gasoline engine using mixer on the end of intake manifold.The objective of this researchis to know the influence of the mixer installment on the end of intake manifold on the fuel consumptions of 4-cylinder gasoline engine. The result of the research shows that with the installment of mixerin the intake manifold of 4-cylinder gasoline engine has caused the engine to consume less fuelbecause the fan had increased the fuel burning optimisation since the mixture of fuel-air was more homogenous.

Abstract

The model Student Facilitator and Explaining is one of cooperative learning which has the idea on how teacher was able to present or demonstrate the material in front of the student then to give them a chance to explain to their friends. The key of this model is all the materials demonstrated which basically presented. This research aims to find: the effect of the application of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on the material To Identify Battery Construction on the study result of students of Kelas X Teknik Sepeda Motor SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya in 2013/2014, which are: (1) to know the student’ study result by using Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) learning model, (2) to know student study result by using conventional learning (speech), (3) to know the student’ study result difference between the two models. Method used in this research is the experiment type PretestPosttest Control Group Design since on this design the population is divided into two groups randomly. The first group is the test unit to the model proposed and the second unit is the control unit. This research takes sample of students Kelas X Teknik Sepeda Motor with 22 students, which is then divided into 2 group as experiment class and control class. The research result shows that there is a difference on the two groups in terms of study result. The group with SFE got higher average score (75,90) than the other group ( 63,72).

Abstract

The instruments used in this study are: a cognitive tests Learning Outcomes, Teacher Activity Observation Sheet, Student Activity Observation Sheet and Student Response Questionnaire, and were analyzed using descriptive techniques. Results of the data analysis based on cognitive learning test on study completeness involving 32 students of Engineering of Motorcycles (TSM) in Vocational School of Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya individually with the teaching model is said to be completed because completeness percentage obtained by 100% (32 students), this indicates that the learning with the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model with type of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) reached the class completeness criteria required that is ?85%.The result after the student learning using cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) on the material: to identify hydraulic system in class X Engineering of Motorcycles (TSM) SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya with an average mark of 85.09% already meet the standards of KKM which is ?70, done by teachers/researchers was performed well. Based on the above results it can be concluded that the application of learning models Cooperative type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) as one alternative learning model can be used in material: to identify hydraulic systems that has been done well.

Abstract

Interactive multimedia in the learning process is a learning system that present the subject material as animations, pictures, recorded videos with computer control to the student who is not only listen, watch videos and voices, but also to give active responses that determine the speed and sequence of the presentation. The purposes of this research are: (1) to develop media on the subject material fuel engines in the tenth grade of TSM smk Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya 2014/2015; (2) to describe student study results after the learning using interactive multimedia developed for fuel engines; (3) to describe students response on the learning by using interactive multimedia for subject material fuel engines. This research is a procedural development research in which a development that shows steps to be followed to produce a certain product. In this research a learning tool which is an interactive multimedia is developed for the subject material fuel engines. Instruments to be used are material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, classroom observation sheets, final tests, and students response. Validation sheets are obtained to determine whether the media is good enough to be used as learning media. Based on the research results, it can be concluded: (1) interactive multimedia produced is good and can be used as learning media; (2) from 16 students who join the learning, 14 students passed while 2 students did not pass, based on the KKM that should be ? 75; (3) students response on the learning using interactive multimedia got the score 738 with average 4,61 which means very good. It is then concluded that the interactive multimedia developed in this research can be used as a learning media.

Abstract

The learning tought by teacher greatly determines the successful learning however many educationalists are still holding the learning process and activity as the ordinary knowledge transfered by teacher to students. It is frequent in which the learning strategy is only giving the information without involving students actively in learning culture. Consequently, many students are inactive in learning and event doing juvenile delinquency at school thus lacking in understanding to learning subjects such as engine and component subject. Therefore, this research posseses a purpose to discover the influence of Two-Stay Two-Stray learning model usage to student’s learning outcome for engine and component subject in class X TKR SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya at academic year 2015/2016. Based on the result of research is known that there is the enhancement of student’s learning outcome after applying Two-Stay Two-stray learning model usage in which the average score of posttest for experimental group and control class are respectively at 78,4 and 66,13. By prerequisite analysis test on normality test is that posttest score for experimental class and control class was distributing normally and hypothesis test used t-test was obtained the value thitung> ttabel (7,26 > 1,67). On those values, it can be known that Ho was accepted and Ho rejected. All in all, this can be concluded that there are the effect of Two-Stay Two-stray learning model usage to student’s learning outcome for engine and component subject in class X TKR SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.

Abstract

In the learning process, the teachers still rely on conventional learning model without making the variation more interesting thus the classroom atmosphere being more conducive and pleasant. Teachers think that students understand the material that has been taught, without trying to repeat or to connect with the students' understanding of the material. This makes the active role of students in learning is not visible, and students tend to be passive in the learning process at school. With these activities, the value of students during the learning to use the lecture method is very low below the average value is 68.45. While the minimum completeness criteria 70 there should be an improvement in the learning activities that increase students' grades. That is by using Word Square student learning model can be active and focus on learning also noticed that students can exchange ideas and information to classmates. The purpose of this study to determine whether there is influence between the learning of students taught by conventional methods in materials Processes Describing Energy Conversion Machines in class X TKR SMK 1 Palangkaraya. Sampling was conducted using random sampling techniques. Samples were first involved 32 students in class TKR as a class experiment using model Word Square and the second sample involved 31 students in class as a class TSM control using conventional learning models that are lectures and research is a kind of experiment. In the present study, the instrument in the form of multiple-choice tests is to collect data of student learning outcomes. Data was analyzed with normality test, homogeneity, and the t-test, the normality test for the Post Test Experiment class is x²hitung <x²tablel, namely 8.61 <11.070. Post Test Normality test grade control x²hitung <x²tablel, namely 8.61 <11.070, to obtain homogeneity test of F = (1.18) <F table (2.53), and otherwise homogeneous. And can we conclude t-test obtained t = 6.4> TTable = 2.000 then Ho and H1 are rejected. H1 = influences of student learning outcomes significantly between learning models that use Word Square, by the use of conventional learning models in class X SMK Negeri 1 Palangkaraya in Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

In general, the teaching and learning process in the classroom are using conventional media, in the form of images, as well as the teacher explaining by using lecture method is difficult for students to be understood regarding the engineering courses such as air compressor subject. By using conventional media on subjects Hydraulic System Maintenance and Air Compressors, those subjects are at the average score of students measuring the cognitive condition at about still below KKM 70 or 68. Media animation is one of the options of learning media that can be used to overcome these problems, so that is expected to increase student scores from previous score. The purpose of this study was to know the influence of media use like animation to the learning outcomes of students on the hydraulics subject. This research used experimental research applying True Type Design Posttest - Only Control Design. This research population is all students of class X TSM and TKR at academic year 2016/2017 in SMK Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya. Sample of research is a class X TKR at around 40 students as a class experiment and X TSM A at total of 36 students as the control class. Both samples were taught differently, classroom learning experiment with animation media teaching and control class treatment using the conventional learning media. In this study, it will be assessed there are 3 domains. The division of the realm is cognitive learning outcomes by 50%, 20% for affective aspect and psychomotor at 30%. Instrument on cognitive tests is a matter of learning outcomes, then the affective aspect and psychomotor were using observation sheet. Based on the research and analysis of data, it can be concluded that the results of data normality test students learning outcomes in experimental class and control class have performed the normal distribution and homogeneous term. The hypothesis test using ttest was obtained price for thitung> ttable 6.9> 2.032. Then H0 is rejected followed H1 accepted. This meant that there is the effect of using animation media to student learning outcomes in a hydraulics course subject.

Abstract

The Program Studi has the obligation to draw up a curriculum, implement, and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum refers to KKNI field of higher education in accordance with the policies, regulations, and guidance on the preparation of the course curriculum. Become link and match, curriculum development Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin University of Palangkaraya need to pay attention in particular vocational curriculum of Automotive Engineering Program. The structure of vocational curriculum comprises general subjects ( Group A and B ) and the subjects of specialization (Group C1, C2, and C3). Concentration is done in two (2) phases, namely concentrationexpertiseprogram at the time of a new student skills and interests package upon completing the class X. Curriculum Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin University of Palangkaraya in general is relevant for vocational curriculum Automotive Engineering Program.
