<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berbicara dengan menggunakan metode story telling di kelas V SDN 05 Pontianak Timur Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) serta bersifat kolaboratif. Tempat penelitian berlangsung di SDN 05 Pontianak Timur, subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 41 siswa dan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengamatan dan pencermatan dokumen, alat yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan dan pencermatan dokumen yang berupa IPKG 2 dan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan hasil akhir penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu pada siklus I aspek kebahasaan 32,5% aspek nonkebahasaan 18%. Pada siklus II aspek kebahasaan 77,5% aspek nonkebahasaan 62,6%. Dari data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa pada aspek kebahasaan dan aspek nonkebahasaan. Kata kunci: Kemampuan berbicara, metode story telling.  Abstract: This study aimed to describe the speech enhancement using storytelling in the classroom SDN 05 East Pontianak West Kalimantan Province. The method used is descriptive. Form of research is Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research) as well as collaborative. Where the research took place in SDN 05 East Pontianak, the study subjects were students of class V, amounting to 41 students and teachers Indonesian subjects. Data collection techniques used were observation and scrutiny of documents, the tool used is the observation sheet and scrutiny of documents that form IPKG 2 and their speaking ability. This research was conducted in two cycles with the results obtained by the end of the study in the first cycle aspects of language 32.5% 18% nonlanguage aspects. In the second cycle aspects of language 77.5% 62.6% nonlanguage aspects.
