Abstract

Subak merupakan lembaga irigasi dan pertanian yang bercorak sosio-religius terutama bergerak dalam pengolahan air untuk produksi tanaman setahun khususnya padi berdasarkan prinsip Tri Hita Karana. Sebagai lembaga irigasi petani tradisional, subak diperkirakan sudah ada di Bali sejak hampir satu millenium. Saat ini minat generasi muda di pulau Bali terhadap pemahaman sistem subak lebih sekedar penamaan saja sehingga dalam beberapa kasus terjadi penutupan sekolah, lembaga pendidikan dan jurusan yang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut dikarenakan ketiadaan anak didik. Hal yang menjadi keprihatinan bagi berbagai kalangan, sehingga dalam penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam guna memperoleh nilai rasa dan karsa, kemudian diwujudkan secara visual melalui ilustrasi. Dimana hasil ilustrasi ini nantinya akan diaplikasikan ke media-media cetak seperti buku juga media elektronik untuk mendapatkan tanggapan yang lebih positip dari masyarakat muda di pulau Bali.

Abstract

Tren sepeda motor kustom yang berkembang dikalangan anak muda akhir-akhir ini, tidak lepas dari pengaruh internet sebagai media komunikasi dan informasi. Salah satu pengaruhnya berasal dari sebuah lini dengan nama Deus Ex Machina yang bergerak dibidang kustomisasi sepeda motor. Mereka secara aktif menggunakan internet dan media sosial sebagai media utama dalam berkomunikasi serta promosi. Perancangan sebuah sepeda motor kustom memerlukan waktu dan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah media komunikasi berbasis web yang mampu mengkomunikasikan keinginan pengguna dengan kemampuan builder sepeda motor kustom agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Web aplikasi adalah media yang tepat untuk permasalahan ini, dengan internet sebagai media, dan penjelajah web sebagai jendela. Perancangan web aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi bagi kedua belah pihak dalam merancang sepeda motor kustom yang memuaskan dalam kerjasama yang terjalin.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of visual assets during the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. There are regulations related to restrictions on movement for everyone during the pandemic, and there is a lot of confusion in information, resulting in information chaos, and one of the reasons is the inappropriate use of visual assets as a medium for the Covid-19 prevention campaign in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the misuse of these visual assets. This study uses visual data spread on social media and also uses observation to examine billboards, banners, and the like that are scattered in the community. In addition to visual data, interviews were also conducted with graphic designers. The questions asked were about the reasons for determining the design and their motivation in utilizing visual assets. The analysis is carried out by building relationships between the designs created, the use of visual assets, and contextual relationships with other interests outside the substance of the Covid 19 prevention campaign program in Indonesia. The results of the study show that visual assets are not used proportionally in conveying the Covid-19 prevention campaign in Indonesia. The conclusion is that there is no policy that provides direction regarding the provisions for the use of visual assets in preventing the Covid-19 health disaster in Indonesia. This research contributes to the government because this research finds a rule model for the use of visual assets in Indonesia.

Abstract

Osi and Ji are city mascots that were inaugurated at the end of 2016 by the city government of Malang in conjunction with the celebration of its 103rd anniversary. The mascots which are resulted from a contest were made by Papang Jakfar and won through several stage stages process including presentation from hundreds of participants. This brings its own fascination as the use of mascots as city icons has not been so popular in Indonesia due to the complex composition of its creation process, from its relationship with the culture, resources, community characteristic to infrastructure facilities of a city. This complexity is summed up in the form of a city mascot as a paradox. Form in hermeneutics is text and can be viewed polisemically, so interpretation becomes a central problem. Thus, hermeneutics aims to verstehen (comprehend) through the method of abduction, not just interpreting. Interpretation is always a reconstruction of the meaning of a text. Analysis with hermeneutics method becomes an immanent part in the mascot's profanity as a design product, mascot's form is an entity created from the results of thinking in design that is loaded with consideration and ability of a qualified individual. Osi and Ji mascots are specifically analyzed by applying Paul Ricouer's theory of Hermeneutics, in which hermeneutics can be brieflydefined as a theory or philosophy of interpretation of meaning that analyzes the various symbols in its form. The objective of the research is to analyze more deeply and interpret the existing circumstances or relationships, ongoing processes, ongoing effects or emerging phenomena, since the results of the Osi and Ji analysis generate to a new knowledge formed from various entities.

Abstract

Gender is a characteristic that is used to differentiate between men and women, not only in physical form, but also in terms of culture, behavior, emotions, socio-culture, and others. When discussing gender theory, it cannot be separated from sociology and psychology. The practice of gender theory is not only used in everyday life, but also in filmmaking. The film uses gender theory as a reference according to the story that will be raised. However, in a film that uses gender theory, it doesn't have to have men and women in every problem that will be made in the film. The relationship between children and fathers can also be explored using gender theory. This journal will explain about the character of Dika's father in the film Human Half Salmon from the point of view of gender theory, especially masculinity because in the film there are several changes in the nature of masculinity towards the character of Dika's father.
