Abstract

The scale of measuring academic resilience in a decade has experienced rapid development. Numerous instruments have been formulated by previous researchers, but it has not explicitly measured the academic resilience for preservice teachers. The purpose is to construct a new measure of academic resilience for preservice teachers, which consists of two stages: the validity and reliability of the instrument; and continued with differences in academic resilience for preservice teachers among the fields of social, science, and language. Measurement instruments were given to lectures (eight experts) and students (n=236) from various universities in Medan, Indonesia. The content validity used V-Aiken, and construct validity used confirmatory factor analysis; reliability using the interclass correlation coefficient and internal consistency reliability. The results show that the constructs of composure, commitment, control, coordination, empathy, perseverance, and adaptive have excellent and accurate validity and reliability to measure academic resilience. The findings are specific that there are significant differences in the academic resilience for preservice teachers among field of sciences. Researchers imply that they can use these instruments appropriate and responsive to academic resilience for preservice teachers highlighting among the sciences' domain so that future research can be carried out to explore these differences.

Abstract

Good leadership is one of the virtues that need to exist in an organization. In carrying out the roles, duties, and responsibilities, every leader has their leadership style. This study aims to investigate the effect of visionary leadership style on organizational commitment. The study used quantitative methods with ex post facto research. The investigation begins after the facts have already occurred, and the researchers do not control nor manipulate the variables studied. The population in this study consisted of 294 lecturers, with a sample size of 169 people. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire. The data analysis utilized was simple linear regression analysis processed by the SPSS. Findings show that the variable visionary leadership style (X) positively influences the variable organizational commitment of private university lecturers in Banda Aceh City. The results obtained are tcount ttable or 8.741 1.974. In addition, there is a strong relationship or correlation between variables X and Y of 56% and the coefficient of determination (RSquare) of .314, indicating that there is an influence of the independent variable (visionary leadership style) on the dependent variable (organizational commitment) of 31.4%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan  kemampuan khusus mahasiswa ditinjau dari kemampuan numerika, abstrak, dan verbal, skolastik, mekanik, dan relasi ruang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian deskriptif, sample pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III dan V berjumlah 88 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kemampuan numerika mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester III sebesar 7 % dan mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester V sebesar 3%, (2) kemampuan abstrak mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester III sebesar 22% dan mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester V sebesar 39%, (3) kemampuan verbal mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester III sebesar 5% dan mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester V sebesar 18%, (4) kemampuan skolastik mahasiswa semester III sebesar 7% dan mahasiswa semester V sebesar 3%, (5) kemampuan mekanik mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester III sebesar 5% dan mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester V sebesar 3%, (6) kemampuan relasi ruang mahasiswa BK FKIP Untirta semester III sebesar 20% dan mahasiswa semester V sebesar 33%. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Umum, kemampuan khusus

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Negeri 106163 Bandar Klippa Percut Sei Tua Deli Serdang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan subjek pendukung guru SDN No106163 Bandar Klippa Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang. Metode pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa upaya kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru salah satunya dimasa pandemi covid-19 ini adalah home visit. Home visit merupakan kegiatan bantuan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru dengan datang ke rumah untuk membantu peserta didik siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan metode home visit membuat peserta didik menjadi senang sebab pembelajaran tidak monoton dan menciptakan suasana baru bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

                                                         AbstrakCounseling centre Universitas Negeri Medan, yang disebut juga sebagai COCE, memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh pendapatan dan menciptakan wirausaha baru yang dikelola dosen dan mahasiswa. COCE menyediakan pelayanan mutu peminatan di sekolah. Pelayanan dilakukan dengan cara holistik, kreatif, inovatif, cepat, tuntas, pantas, dan baik. Pengelolaan manajemen menggunakan managemen mutu sehingga lebih mengutamakan strategi pemberdayaan dari pada birokrasi. Teknik pemasaran usaha ini dimulai dengan sosialisasi melalui penyebaran brosur dan infromasi melalui radio, harga bersaing, promosi, dan penentuan posisi. Klien COCE berasal dari siswa dan mahasiswa yang mengalami masalah dalam belajar yang berlokasi di Propinsi Sumatera Utara.  Hasil pelayanan tes pada tahun pertama (2015) yang telah dilakukan COCE melayani 4.127 klien dan margin keuntungan operasi diperoleh sebesar 91,07%. Pada tahun kedua (2016), pelaksanaan tes yang dilakukan COCE telah memberikan pelayanan sebanyak 3.659 klien dan margin keuntungan sebesar 86,99%. Bentuk pelayanan yang diberikan berupa layanan konseling, psikotes, dan bimbingan belajar. Kata kunci: income generate, counseling centre, intelektual kampus. AbstractCounseling center at Medan State University, also known as COCE, has a goal to earn income and create new entrepreneurship managed by lecturers and students. COCE provides quality services in schools and colleges. The service is done in a holistic, creative, innovative, quick, exhaustive, proper, and excellent. Management management uses quality management so as to prioritize empowerment strategy rather than bureaucracy. This business marketing technique begins with socialization through the spread of brochures and information via radio, competitive prices, promotion, and positioning. COCE clients come from students and students who have learning problems located in North Sumatra Province. The results of the test service in the first year (2015) that has been conducted COCE serves 4.127 clients and operating profit margin is 91,07%. In the second year (2016), the implementation of tests conducted COCE has provided service for 3,659 clients and profit margin of 86.99%. Form of services provided in the form of counseling services, psychology, and tutoring. Keywords: income generate, counseling centre, campus intellectuals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the implementation of traditional Javanese game models in shaping the social character of children in Perwanis Medan Kindergarten as well as describing what social characters are produced from traditional Javanese games (hide and seek, congklak, crank, and cublak-cublak suweng). This research is a type of qualitative descriptive study, with research subjects namely the school principal, teacher, school committee, and several children at TK Perwanis Medan. Data collection techniques used in the form of; observation, interview and documentation. Analysis of the data used in the form of descriptive analysis, which includes three pathways namely; data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The conclusion obtained is that the implementation of social character formation through traditional games has been going well and optimally, while the indications of each of the basic elements of social character education, including: moral knowing (moral knowledge), moral feeling (feelings about morals), and moral action ( moral action). In addition, the social character contained in every traditional Javanese game, among others: 1) Plot Umpet; honest, love peace, discipline, tolerance, hard work, curiosity, love of the motherland, and responsibility. 2) Congklak; honest, tolerance, discipline, creative, communicative, peace-loving, and responsibility. 3) Engklek; honest, discipline, love the motherland, hard work, and love peace. 4) Suweng sub-sub-groups; honest, hard work, curiosity, and love peace.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF COCONUT SHELL WASTE AS AN EFFORT TO INCREASE COMMUNITY INCOME. The problems that occur in the community of Sei Paham Village are not yet optimal use of coconut, which is one of the largest coconut production villages in Sei Kepayang District. It requires the acquisition of science and technology in maximizing coconut shell waste into charcoal. The purpose of the service is to implement science and technology in processing coconut shell waste into charcoal as an effort to increase the income of the people of Sei Paham Village. The community empowerment method uses participatory learning and action to be very useful in increasing knowledge and skills by involving community participation in several ways, including: (1) analysis of the situation of potential derivative products from coconut waste; (2) able to design the charcoal combustion devices that have been produced with the service team; and (3) skilled in quality charcoal production. The results of dedication are seen in increasing income and skills in utilizing shell waste. The application of science and technology in developing the potential of shell waste also has a positive impact on the surrounding environment, this is there is no longer a coconut shell buildup because the community has been able to optimize the shell using a coconut shell combustion device to become charcoal.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce teaching materials for effective coping strategies in the implementation of counseling services to students. Teaching materials are made in printed form, then for the benefit of the pandemic, they were arranged in the form of an EDUDA (Education of Drug Adversity) application program. A coping strategy is one of the life skills of the seven skills that are trained in the EDUDA application program design research development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) carried out for 6 months. The research subjects were 29 students of class X SMA Negeri 17 Medan TA. 2019/2020. Data collection techniques (1) conducting interviews about coping strategy exercises, (2) distributing valid questionnaires via zoom, (3) monitoring the progress of the exercise implementation through WhatsApp (WA). The effectiveness of teaching materials is assessed according to the answer key in each exercise and the questions have a score, the results of the exercise are 27 students have passed the mean percentage of 93.10% and have achieved a very good classification. The conclusion of this study is that this coping strategy teaching material is effective for use in counseling services for class X students of SMA Negeri 17 Medan TA. 2019/2020.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out whether there is an effect of perceptions about the principal's participative leadership with the teacher's affective commitment and (2) to find out whether there is an influence of work motivation with the teacher's affective commitment. This research uses quantitative methods, the model used is path analysis with inferential data analysis techniques. The population is all teachers in state high schools in the city of Banda Aceh as many as 108 people, a sample of 84 people. The sampling technique used is random probability sampling or random sampling. Namely the technique chosen to be a representative sample member. Data collection techniques are done using a questionnaire. The instrument was tested for validity with a product moment with an acceptance rate of 95% or at a significant level of 0.05. Reliability is calculated by the alpha r11 coefficient formula. The results showed: (1) There was a significant influence between perceptions about the principal's participatory leadership and the teacher's affective commitment. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.523 with an alpha significance level of 0.05 and a regression line equation Ŷ = 62.97 + 0.436X1. (2) There is a significant influence of work motivation with the teacher's affective commitment. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.681 with a significance level of alpha 0.05 and the regression line equation Ŷ = 24.35 + 0.729X2. This study concludes: (1) perceptions about the participatory leadership of the principal do not have a direct influence on the teacher's affective commitment. (2) work motivation has a direct effect on the teacher's affective commitment with a contribution of 48%. (3) the perception of the principal's participatory leadership has an indirect effect on the teacher's affective commitment through teacher work motivation with a contribution of 60%. Thus it is suggested in increasing the affective commitment of teachers it is necessary to increase the perception of the principal's participatory leadership and teacher work motivation. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh persepsi tentang kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala sekolah dengan komitmen afektif guru dan (2) untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh motivasi kerja dengan komitmen afektif guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, model yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur dengan teknik analisis data inferensial. Populasi adalah seluruh guru di SMA Negeri di Kota Banda Aceh sebanyak 108 orang, sampel berjumlah 84 orang. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling random atau pengambilan sampel secara acak. Yaitu teknik yang dipilih menjadi anggota sampel yang representatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. Instrumen di ujii validitasnya dengan product moment dengan tingkat penerimaan 95% atau pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Reliabilitas dihitung dengan rumus koeefisien alpha r11. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan : (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara persepsi tentang kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala sekolah dengan komitmen afektif guru. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,523 dengan level signifikansi alpha 0,05 dan persamaan garis regresi Ŷ = 62,97 + 0,436X1. (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi kerja dengan komitmen afektif guru. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,681 dengan level signifikansi alpha 0,05 dan persamaan garis regresi Ŷ = 24,35 + 0,729X2. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan : (1) persepsi tentang kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala sekolah tidak mempunyai pengaruh langsung dengan komitmen afektif guru. (2) motivasi kerja mempunyai pengaruh langsung dengan komitmen afektif guru dengan kontribusi sebesar 48%. (3) persepsi tentang kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala sekolah mempunyai pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap komitmen afektif guru melalui motivasi kerja guru dengan kontribusi sebesar 60%. Dengan demikian disarankan dalam meningkatkan komitmen afektif guru perlu ditingkatkan persepsi tentang kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru. Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari rendahnya kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa melalui pengembangan model tutorial audio visual berkonten syariah islam. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development yang mengikuti langkah-langkah pengembangan model Analize, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PG-PAUD semester II yang berjumlah 40 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukan bahwa hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 95.83%, ahli materi sebesar 95,45%, ahli bahasa sebesar 95.00%, dari hasil validasi ahli video model tutorial audio visual berkonten syariah islam yang dikembangkan menunjukan hasil pada kreteria sangat layak dan dinyatakan valid sehingga layak untuk digunakan dalam penelitian, dan berdasarkan hasil dari penyebaran angket kreativitas mahasiswa, nilai pre tets menunjukan hasil rata-rata yaitu sebesar 49.35% dan nilai post test menunjukan hasil rata-rata sebesar 90.57% , hasil analisis statistik membuktikan bahwa tingkat kreativitas mahasiswa meningkat sebesar 41.22%, hal ini dapat dimaknai bahwa pemberian video model tutorial dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa dan video model tutorial yang telah disusun secara sistematis telah mencapai taraf keefektifan.
