Abstract

Student thinking level influences student achievement. Measurement of students 'level of thinking with polya is expected to gain knowledge of students' ability to solve problems. Respondent data collection is done by purposive sampling and snowball which is then analyzed by polya results of the implementation of polya steps indicate the achievements of each student. The results of this study concluded that the 10th grade science students had reached the fourth stage of the 4 polya steps. However, training is needed to increase flight hours.

Abstract

Main problem of this study is to implement the image enhancement techniques to mammographic image of breast cancer. This study aims to develop an image enhancement application using GNU Octave on open source platform operating system. At the beginning we used eight sample mammographic image with normal tissues and positive cancer. The process continued to convert the pgm format to jpg. This change needed, hence the negative image function and histogram equalization function can applied. Result of  this research showed that visual quality affected by density level of the breast tissue of the patient. Density level with fatty showed better visual than both glandular and dense.This research conclude that the application of image enhancement using GNU Octave can be applied to mammographic image. Keywords: Mammographic, Image Enhancement, GNU Octave, Debian, Open Source

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan  pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi IT dalam pembelajaran matematika dalam hal ini memanfaatkan Wolfram CDF Player dan mengembangkan alat peraga matematika berbasis komputer yang sesuai dengan model pembelajaran matematika, sampai diperoleh suatu produk alat peraga. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode demonstrasi, tanya jawab dan diskusi. Peserta pelatihan adalah 20 siswa-siswi SD N 1 Sawahan. Analisis data hasil pelatihan ini di analisis menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan dengan software SPSS. Hasil pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya pelatihan Wolfram CDF Player, dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam materi bilangan bulat.
