Abstract

Based on information at SMP Negeri 1 Krucil Probolinggo grade VIIA founded some problems related with learning process, those are many student inactive and having science learning product maximal yet. Total of inactive student in the process of learning will be increase in the afternoon, especially in the last time of learning. Based on problems above need to a research about implementation brain gym in science learning. Type of research is class research action. Purpose of this research to know the increasing of learning product and student activity with implementing brain gym on science learning in grade VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Krucil Probolinggo in year 2010/2011. Conclusion of this research are implementing brain gym on learning process able to increase student learning product with average value 82,50, percentage classical comprehensiveness 90,00%, and able to increase student activity.Keywords: brain gym, learning product, student activity

Abstract

This study aims to determine learning out comes and student activity in SMPN 5 Tanggul class VIII D with implementing cooperative learning type TGT (Team Games Tournament). This type of research that is in use is a classroom action research. The procedure used is a model cycles, each cycle consisting of four phase : planning, action, observation and research reflection. Type TGT cooperative learning by using media as a learning kokami obtained some findings, namely in the first cycle classical completeness of 69.2%, while in the second cycle classical completeness obtained 94.9%. Increased activity of learning (tests) students, the results of the analysis of student active the first cycle obtained average value of 77%, where as the values obtained in the second cycle an average of 87%. From these results, it can be described in general that by implementing cooperative learning type TGT (Team Games Tournament) using kokami as learning media can improve learning out comes and student activities.Keywords :  learning out comes, student activity, TGT (Team Games Tournament), kokami

Abstract

Problem in Indonesia especially in education side cause low of Indonesian quality. Based on data which gave by one of international committee from PBB, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) rating of Human Development Index (HDI) Indonesia in position 111 in world. From the explanation above so need to an research about applying of accelerated learning with pictograph media for increasing biology learning product. Based on research gotten conclusion that accelerated learning with pictograph media able to increasing student learning product with average value 80,14, percentage classical comprehensiveness 92,86%, and able to increase student activity with percentage 91,43% (in rank really good).Key word: accelerated learning, learning product, student activity
