Abstract

Efforts to prevent viral infection are a shared responsibility of all Indonesian citizens, including academics. Prevention starts from keeping a distance, wearing a mask, and washing hands. Another alternative to washing hands is to use a hand sanitizer. This community service activity program aims to educate and assist the community in preventing infection with the Covid-19 virus based on local culture through assisting students in making hand sanitizers made from local products, namely clove flower stem extract, and distributing them to the community. The methods used in this activity are production, product distribution, and education (lectures). The team will distribute the product to the Khairun University campus area and six schools in Ternate city. This community service program's result is 300 bottles of clove flower stalk extract and distributed to the public. In general, the community's response to the hand sanitizer product from clove flower stalk extract is that the public is enthusiastic and has good comments on this hand sanitizer product

Abstract

Malaria masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan di dunia dan Indonesia. Cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merry & Perry) adalah tanaman asli Indonesia yang berpotensi sebagai fitofarmaka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis aktivitas antimalaria in vitro, uji toksisitas, dan uji penghambatan secara in vivo ekstrak metanol cengkeh varietas Tuni Buru Selatan. Konsentrasi uji in vitro bunga, tangkai bunga, dan daun cengkeh masing-masing adalah 0,01, 0,1, 1, 10, dan 100 μg/mL duplo. Dosis uji toksisitas bunga cengkeh dan tangkai bunga cengkeh masing-masing 625, 1250, 2500, 5000, dan 10000 mg/kg BB dan lima ulangan. Uji in vivo dengan menggunakan tiga dosis perlakuan bunga cengkeh dan tangkai bunga cengkeh masing-masing 25, 50, dan 100 mg/kg BB dan 5 ulangan. Hasil uji in vitro menunjukkan 50% Inhibition Concentration (IC50) bunga cengkeh 1,25 μg/mL; tangkai bunga cengkeh 7,89 μg/mL dan daun cengkeh 11,42 μg/mL; 50% Lethal doses (LD50) bunga cengkeh 19743,327 dan tangkai bunga cengkeh 47304,436 mg/kg BB; Persentase penghambatan rata-rata uji in vivo bunga cengkeh 94,19; 95,81; 78,28% dan tangkai bunga cengkeh 90,48; 80,43; 74,14%. Ekstrak metanol cengkeh varietas Tuni Buru Selatan berpotensi sebagai antimalaria dan tidak toksik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to determine whether the scientifically integrated guided inquiry-based Biology learning device that was developed could be declared feasible to be used in class XI biology learning at SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan (2) to determine the effect of the scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry learning model on learning outcomes. cognitive skills in class XI SMA Negeri 3 South Halmahera (3) to determine the effect of the scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry learning model on science process skills in class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R&D). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely XI IPA-1 as an experimental class and Class XI IPA-2 as a control class with 36 students. The instrument used was an essay test for science process skills and for cognitive learning outcomes in the form of a multiple choice test (PG). ). Analysis of the data using data analysis of the feasibility of learning devices and normality test, homogeneity assisted by SPSS while hypothesis testing using the Anacova test. The results showed that (1) the -based Biology Learning Toolkit The scientifically integrated guided inquiry developed in class XI of SMA Negeri 3 South Halmahera with a value of 92.7% is categorized as suitable for use (2) there is an influence of the scientifically integrated guided inquiry learning model on cognitive learning outcomes in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan with a value level significant 0.03> 0.05 (3) there is an effect of scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry Learning Model on science process skills in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan with a significant value of 0.01> 0.05.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing merupakan model pembelajaran yang memberikan kerangka kerja dan implementasi berpikir siswa sehingga dapat mengakses informasi secara efektif. Adanya kolaborasi antara model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih berpusat pada siswa, karena dalam proses pembelajaran tersebut, siswa di tuntut untuk dapat merumuskan hipotesis, merancang bahan percobaan, mengadakan eksperimen, menguji hipotesis dan menarik kesimpulan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, serta mempelajari peningkatan keduanya pada kelas VII-F di SMP Negeri 1 Kota Ternate dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis pendekatan keterampilan proses pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini termasuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), langkahlangkah yang terdapat dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis pendekatan keterampilan proses dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa antara siklus I dan siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada tes awal siklus I diperoleh presentase 0% dan tes akhir 4% sedangkan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada tes awal siklus II diperoleh presentase 52% dan tes akhir 87%. Sementara itu, untuk aktivitas belajar siswa juga terjadi peningkatan yang cukup besar, yakni 67% di siklus I dan 100% di siklus II. Peningkatan yang terjadi memiliki selisih 33%.

Abstract

The Utilization of natural materials from local plants as mosquito repellent starts from the deepening of information about local knowledge of the community. Research about anti-mosquito is important to overcome problems of the use of synthetic anti-mosquitoes on the market; besides that, this is also to preserve the community's local wisdom. The purpose of this study is to describe the local knowledge of the island community about the use of anti-mosquito plants and analyze the potential of plants that are most widely used by people in the islands as anti-mosquito lotion products. The method used is the exploratory survey method. Data collection is done by interviewing techniques, in-depth observation of informants, and documentation. The most used anti-mosquito plant data were analyzed by phytochemical components. The results showed that there were 9 species of anti-mosquito plants used by the community, namely Tagetes erecta L, Lavandula L, Cymbopogon citratus, Citrus aurantifolia, Syzygium aromaticum, Evodia suaveolens, Catharanthus roseus (L) G. Don., Alphitonia incana BL., and Polygala paniculata. Alphitonia incana BL is the most widely used type of society and contains phytochemical compounds, alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolics, and tannins. The Alphitonia incana BL., has the potential to be developed as an anti-mosquito lotion product.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge about local wisdom and national identity is one of the causes of the emergence of problems of moral and character decline experienced by most of the young generation today. One of the ways that teachers do in instilling student character is by applying local wisdom-based learning. The obstacle that is often experienced by junior high school science teachers in Ternate City in learning is the difficulty of integrating local wisdom into the material to be taught to students, as a solution to raise the local potential of an area, teachers are required to always innovate to be able to design learning based on local wisdom. Ternate has a variety of local wisdom potentials that can be used as learning resources by designing learning scenarios based on Ternate local wisdom, one of which is by mapping basic competencies to ensure the suitability of subject matter to be integrated with local wisdom objects. The integration of local wisdom in learning is done by making local wisdom a context for discovering scientific concepts. The stages in designing learning are identifying the potential of local wisdom, analyzing scientific concepts contained in local wisdom objects, mapping Basic Competencies and local wisdom, designing learning scenarios and designing teaching materials in the context of local wisdom

Abstract

Education is important in order to improve the quality Human Resources both in terms of spirituality, intelligence, and skills to support his life. This study aims to determine the application of the Survey, question read, recite, review (SQ3R) learning model to the activities of class XI IPA-7 students at SMA Negeri 2 Ternate City and to determine the application of the SQ3R learning model to the biology learning outcomes of class XI IPA- 7 students. at SMA Negeri 2 Ternate City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or what is called Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is a scientific activity carried out by designing, implementing, observing, and reflecting on actions through several cycles collaboratively. The results showed that the application of the SQ3R learning model could increase the activity of class XI IPA-7 at SMA Negeri 2 Ternate City on the material of the Respiratory System. The results of observations of teacher activities in the first cycle were 68.23%, the second cycle increased to 83.5%. In the results of the observation of student activity in the first cycle, namely 61.17%, the second cycle increased to 76.47%, and the results of learning biology material for the respiratory system with the application of the SQ3R learning model in class XI IPA-7 students of SMA Negeri 2 Ternate City have increased from cycle I and cycle II. Cycle I there were 23 students with a percentage of 76.66% who entered the incomplete category and 7 students with a percentage of 23.34% in the complete category. In the second cycle, the students' completeness scores increased to 80%. This proves that the learning outcomes of respiratory system biology material with the application of the Survey, question read, recite, review (SQ3R) learning model have increased.

Abstract

Science learning in the 2013 revised edition of the 2016 curriculum was developed in an integrated manner in the fields of biology, physics, and chemistry. These three areas are combined in a learning theme. One of the themes of science learning in junior high schools that is adapted to the needs of the development of scientific attitudes is the theme of Environment and Classification. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' scientific attitudes at SMPN 3 South Halmahera after being taught using PBL-based science learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experiment). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VII-1 as the experimental class, VII-2 as the control class with a total of 53 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire to measure students' scientific attitude. Data analysis uses the SPSS-assisted normality and homogeneity test, while the hypothesis test uses the Anacova test. The results showed that learning science based on PBL could increase students' scientific attitude by 72.90% with a significant level of 0.001 <0.05.

Abstract

The scientifically integrated talking stick learning model assisted by charta media is a learning stage following the steps of the talking stick learning model with charta-assisted media to improve the ability of students' cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the scientifically integrated talking stick learning model assisted by chart media on students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experiment). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIII-1 as the experimental class and VIII-2 as the control class with a total of 35 students. The instrument used is a test to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Data analysis used the SPSS-assisted normality and homogeneity test, while the hypothesis test used the Anacova test. The results showed that the talking stick learning model with chart media had an effect on learning outcomes with a significant level of 0.05 0.001.
