Abstract

Few studies have explored the fear and stigma of COVID-19 among the general Indonesian population. This study aimed to investigate the fear and stigma of COVID-19-related factors among the general population. A cross-sectional study was done in Banten, Indonesia, from Augustus to September 2020. Sample of the studywas recruited using convenience sampling. Multivariable linear regression model was used to analyze data. The majority of respondents were female (66.9%), with the mean age was 32.5 (SD=8.7). Fear of COVID-19 score was negatively associated with social support. Stigma towards COVID-19 score was negatively associated with higher education level, knowledge, social support. It positively associated with non-healthcare professional living in the city, confirmed COVID-19, suspected case, quarantine for close contact, and fear of COVID-19. The results indicated that the COVID-19 fear and stigma have been experienced by many of the general Indonesian community. Therefore, public health education and awareness-raising of the significance of public support are needed to remove the perceived stigma.

Abstract

The leadership and motivation styleis an essential factor in supporting the performance of nurses. The study was undertaken to determine the correlation between the leadership style to the job satisfaction, and organizational commitment among the head nurses and staff nurses from the government and private hospitals in Serang, Banten, Indonesia. The study used descriptive corelational design. The samples were limited, involving 289 respondents from dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Hospital, Serang (18 head nurses and 183 staff nurses) and Sari Asih Hospital, Serang (6 head nurses and 82 staff nurses). The study found a low positive relationship of the head nurses' transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style against the staff nurses' job satisfaction, r-coefficients of 0.370 and 0.485, respectively. Also, a moderate positive correlation was found on transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style of the head nurses against the organizational commitment of the staff nurses, rcoefficient of 0.606 and 0.609, respectively. It suggested that the staff nurses should be more responsive to the duty inseparable from the rights and obligations as an employee while the head nurse needs to pay attention to physical readiness, mental and psychological of subordinates.

Abstract

ABSTRAKUpaya untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan dengan hubungan perilaku sangat erat sekali. Pemakaian pemanis buatan banyak dipakai pedagang kecil dan industri rumahan karena dapat menghemat biaya produksi. Hampir setiap tahun kasus keracunan selalu ada dan angka kejadiannya pun cukup tinggi. Dari seluruh kasus keracunan makanan yang ada, semua bersumber pada pengolahan makanan tidak higienis dan penambahan bahan tambahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan pedagang tentang pemakaian zat berbahaya pada jajanan anak sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Kelurahan Lontar Baru Kecamatan Serang. Penelitian ini merupakan metode deskriptif yang dilakukan di SD yang ada di Kelurahan Lontar Baru Kecamatan Serang. Responden pada penelitian sebanyak 30 orang dari seluruh pedagang jajanan SD Negeri Serang 12, SDN Lontar Baru, MI An Najaah Lontar Baru, SD Negeri Kaloran, SD Negeri Kaloran Kidul. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan cukup. Perlu dilakukan peningkatan penyuluhan kesehatan dan penyebaran informasi oleh petugas kesehatan  dan kader kepada para pedagang mengenai bahaya memakai zat aditif pada makanan secara berlebihan. Kata kunci : pedagang, sekolah dasar, jajanan anak, pengetahuan ABSTRACT Efforts to improve health status are very closely related to behavior. The use of artificial sweeteners is widely used by small traders and home industries because it can save production costs. Almost every year there are always cases of poisoning and the incidence is quite high. Of all cases of food poisoning that exist, all originate from unhygienic food processing and the addition of additional ingredients. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of traders about the use of hazardous substances in schoolchildren snacks at the elementary schools of Lontar Baru Village, Serang District. This research is a descriptive method conducted in elementary schools in Lontar Baru Village, Serang District. Respondents in the study were 30 people from all the street vendors at SD Negeri Serang 12, SDN Lontar Baru, MI An Najaah Lontar Baru, SD Negeri Kaloran, SD Negeri Kaloran Kidul. The results showed that most respondents had sufficient knowledge. It is necessary to increase health education and dissemination of information by health workers and cadres to traders about the dangers of overusing food additives. Keywords : trader, elementary school, schoolchildren snacks, knowledge

Abstract

Kanker payudara merupakan kanker yang sering dijumpai dalam masyarakat Indonesia dan menempati tempat ke dua terbanyak setelah kanker leher rahim. Tingkat pendidikan mempengaruhi perilaku dan menghasilkan banyak perubahan, semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan formal semakin tinggi pula kesadaran untuk berperilaku hidup sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi pendidikan dengan tingkat pengetahuan wanita tentang masalah gizi kanker payudara di RW 10 Benggala RSU Serang Kelurahan Cipare Serang. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dan dilakukan dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 wanita menggunakan kriteria inklusi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner berbentuk dichotomos choice. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah spearman’s rank pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil analisis statistik diperoleh nilai Rho +0,318 dan nilai signifikansi p= 0,012 yang berarti nilainya p< 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan tingkat pengetahuan wanita tentang masalah gizi kanker payudara. Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan semakin tinggi pengetahuan tentang masalah gizi kanker payudara

Abstract

Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang tinggi di Indonesia adalah stunting. Stunting adalah gangguan perkembangan anak yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi, infeksi, atau stimulasi yang tidak memadai. Prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Banten sebesar 24,5% dan prevalensi stunting di Kota Serang sebesar 27,2%. Pondok Kahuru merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Ciomas, Kota Serang yang mengalami peningkatan prevalensi stunting sebesar 7,66% selama tahun 2020 hingga 2021. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang benar tentang stunting dan cara pemberian MP-ASI (Makanan Pendamping ASI) yang tepat kepada anak dalam rangka menurunkan angka stunting di Desa Pondok Kahuru. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pre-test dan post-test. Setelah diberikan edukasi, ibu lebih memahami tentang pentingnya mencegah stunting melalui pemberian MP-ASI yang optimal. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai post-test para peserta kegiatan.

Abstract

Women in Indonesia are a group at risk of experiencing high blood glucose levels with increasing age. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between physical activity and central obesity on hyperglycemia in adult women. The type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional design on adult women at the Telaga Biru Public Health Center, Gorontalo Regency in 2019. The sample size is 248 people using purposive sampling. The method of collecting physical activity data is measured using a Physical Activity Level (PAL) questionnaire, central obesity is measuring waist circumference, and current blood glucose levels for hyperglycemic status. The statistical test is the chi-square test with 95% CI. The results showed that physical activity included in the light category was very high at 91.1% and central obesity status was also high at 61,3%. The results of current blood glucose levels showed that respondents who experienced hyperglycemia were low at only 15,3%. Physical activity had no significant association with hyperglycemia (p= 0,142), central obesity had a significant association with hyperglycemia (p= 0,005). The conclusion is that central obesity has a significant relationship with the incidence of hyperglycemia in adult women with an OR value of 3,52

Abstract

The issue of food insecurity during COVID-19 has occurred around the world, including in Indonesia. This study focused on factors associated with running out of food in the households as the outcome. The objective of this study was to examine the variables associated with running out of foods during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This study used secondary data RGA from UN Women website to explore univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results revealed that the main factors influencing running out of foods are five variables such as worries would not having enough food to eat, being unable to eat healthy and nutritious food, eating only a few kinds of foods, eating less than enough, and being hungry but did not eat. There are two variables that revealed moderate correlation such as skipping a meal and going without eating for a whole day. The strongest variable is HH’s head reported were hungry but did not eat which were 5.48 times more likely to run out of foods during the pandemic. Intervention and collaboration with other stakeholders need to be arranged well to prevent the severity food insecurity. Â
