Abstract

The ear is an organ that is able to detect or recognize sound and also has a lot to play in the balance and position of the body. The ears are organs that are very vulnerable to noise. There are two common causes of hearing loss, namely decreased hearing conduction (hearing loss) and nerve hearing (sensorineural hearing loss). To prevent deafness, hearing control is necessary. Generally to test hearing function is done regularly by the ENT doctor at the hospital. This if done many times is deemed ineffective because it is time consuming and requires relatively expensive costs, therefore an early diagnosis of portable hearing loss is designed that is expected to be able to test independently independently over and over again. This tool is equipped with SD Card data storage, where the results of the data can be consulted by a doctor for further diagnosis. This tool uses an arduino uno R3 control, the frequency generator uses IC XR2206. The highest error is at the frequency of 8000 Hz which is 0.52%, but overall all systems on the device are functioning properly and the error is still within tolerance of 10%. From the results of these data, this tool can be recommended for early diagnosis of hearing function.

Abstract

The nurse caller device is used as a special communication device between the patient and the nurse within the hospital area as a means of speeding the nurse's time response in providing immediate care to the patient. The designed wireless-based nurse caller device made installation easier and neater. The remote used a Bluetooth module MH-10 connected to the ATMega8 microcontroller as the sender and receiver. The data process using a microcontroller ATMega8 produced characters on the LCD, turned on the LED, and activated the buzzer to call the nurse. The results of the test on the device showed that the farthest distance taken by the HM-10 Bluetooth module in the open area (outdoor) was about 45 meters, and the closed area (indoor) was about 20 meters.

Abstract

Embedding is an anatomical pathology laboratory device that is very important for producing quality slices and is also a device used to process paraffin tissue, so that the tissue can be cut with higher precision using a microtom (slicer). From the process of melting paraffin crystals using a manual heating process with bunsen flame heaters (fire heaters) so that the paraffin crystals can be transformed from the crystal into liquid. While paraffin crystals that have been processed from the crystal to liquid form are poured into the mold and left to freeze. In this case, an embedding system device will be made equipped with heating and cooling. The temperature used for the liquefaction process is 50ï‚°C while the temperature for cooling is 17ï‚°C. After making the process of making device, experiment device, and retrieving data, the error percentage results were 0.016% at the heating temperature and 0.08% at the coolant temperature, and the percentage of heating samples obtained in the sample was 61.3%, while the percentage samples for parts coolers get a value of 92%

Abstract

A firefighter is a task given by someone or a team to extinguish a fire that occurs when building a building. The officer took the danger of fighting the fire with a fire engine equipped with a water sprayer. Because of these dangers, a robot was made to help put out the fire. This research aimed to design a fire extinguisher robot using AT89S52 microcontroller as its controller. A DC fan controlled by a relay was utilized to extinguish the fire and a fire sensor (UV-Tron) was used to detect the presence of fire. The robot was driven by motor DC. It could detect the surrounding obstacles and possessed an ultrasound-based navigation system. If the ultrasound system detects an obstacle, the robot will automatically turn without colliding the obstacle or other things around it. The result of the research showed that the proposed fire extinguisher robot can detect fire as far as 5 meters and successfully extinguish the fire.

Abstract

Earthquake is a vibration  that occur on the surface of the earth, earthquakes are usually caused by the movement of the earth's crust (earth's plates). Earthquakes are also used to indicate the area from which the earthquake occurred. Even though our earth is solid, it always moves and earthquakes occur when the pressure caused by that movement is too large to be able to withstand. One of the effects of the earthquake vibration itself that reaches the earth's surface and if the vibration is large enough can damage buildings and other infrastructure such as roads and bridges, railroad tracks, dams and others, causing casualties and property losses. So that we can avoid the danger caused by an earthquake, it is necessary to design an earthquake detection device with a pendulum swing method based on the ATMega328 Microcontroller. The ATMega328 microcontroller is the core of all the systems that exist in this design. In the design of earthquake measuring device using infrared sensors and photodiodes. Where the infrared beam construction is determined by the pendulum which detects the swing.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to make an Arduino-based mini shaker for automatic mixing of chemical solutions. The use of the tool was expected to save time and energy in the process of mixing chemical solutions, facilitate laboratory workers in mixing the chemical solutions quickly and efficiently, and for a safety reason in the laboratory. The design of this tool consists of a time sensor, speed sensor, microcontroller, motor driver and Dc motor. This tool can regulate the speed of a DC motor with three speeds namely 100 RPM low, 150 normal RPM, and 180 high RPM. Based on the results of motor speed measurements, the average error at the motor speed is low 1.4%, normal 2.5%, and high 2.54%, and the average error at the timer is 1 minute 0.03%, 2 minutes 0,1%, 3 minutes 0.05%, 4 minutes 0.016%, and 5 minutes 0.03%.

Abstract

Food self-sufficiency is a government program that has been being actively promoted so that Indonesia can reach food independence by the end of 2019. Indonesia is a maritime country and also an agricultural country with two seasons namely rainy season and dry season. In the rainy season, food plants usually do not need to be watered, while in the dry season, the plants must be watered regularly in accordance with soil moisture conditions. Farmers usually do not grow food plants in the dry season for fear that it will not grow well. The farmer’s dependence on the season causes the production to decline and becomes an obstacle in the success of the food self-sufficiency program. An information and communication technology-based agricultural device is needed to overcome the problem. The research aimed to design a programmed microcontroller chip to control watering automatically based on soil moisture detected using a domestic soil moisture sensor. This device detects whether the soil is dry or not. The farmers do not need to do watering manually. In addition to helping farmers, the device can also be installed on plantations, seedbed nurseries, urban parks, hotels, offices, and in homes that have parks or plants that need regular watering.

Abstract

ECG or Electrocardiograph is a tool to find out the electrical activity of the heart in patients. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a graphic result records electrical potential resulting from by heartbeat, (Mervin J. Goldman, 1990). ECG recording very useful to know present certain hypertrophy, arrhythmia, pericarditis, for example potassium electrolyte disturbances. Tool this be named generator signal ECG. Tool the generator signal ECG functioning for produce the signal Electric heart in adult patient sand to check ECG error or no. So that it can ease technical electro medic in maintenance medical equipment periodically. The tool utilizes IC 14521 as oscillator or signal generator and using IC 14 017 as a shift register who has responsibility to remove from pin 1 to pin the other. The benefits of the ECG signal generating device so that technical electro medic easy and not difficult in check ECG without must using patients. So this tool as a form clone of the human heart. The tool such as a patient simulator. Based on the results of laboratory tests that have been done with the author concluded that, ECG signal generating device to function properly so that produce form of mock patient's heart signal that shown monitored oscilloscope in the waveform display P, Q, R, S, T.
