Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjadi salah satu kajian tentang tantangan masyarakat urban di Kota Manado dalam merencanakan dan mengelola lingkungan belajar bagi Anak Usia Dini disaat mereka menghadapi berbagai resiko karena adanya pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa dalam kajian biblika Ulangan 6: 4-9 terdapat beberapa karakteristik lingkungan belajar untuk anak, yaitu lingkungan belajar yang bersifat parental participation, verbal-visual combination, multi-location, dan style variation. Ditemui pula tantangan-tantangan dalam lingkungan belajar pendidikan anak usia dini, yaitu tantangan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh karena adanya covid-19, pelaksanaan kelas online yang menimbulkan ketidaksetaraan dalam pelaksanaannya, keterbatasan penilaian guru dari video dan foto, dan tantangan metode online dan off-line.

Abstract

Kitab Obaja merupakan kitab terpendek di antara kitab nabi-nabi kecil dengan beragam penafsiran, khususnya dalam menafsirkan restorasi Sion pada hari TUHAN. Pendekatan yang berbeda tentu menghasilkan teologi yang beragam pula. Misalnya, ada yang menafsirkan bahwa restorasi Sion sudah terjadi dalam sejarah sebelum kelahiran Kristus. Ada yang menafsirkan bahwa restorasi Sion mengacu pada gereja. Ada yang memandangnya secara eskatologis, dimana restorasi terjadi di masa milenium damai. Ada juga yang memandang restorasi ini digenapi dua kali, dalam sejarah dan di masa akan datang. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini ialah untuk menemukan teologi tentang Sion dalam Obaja 1:16-21. Metode yang digunakan ialah analisis sastra nubuatan. Hasilnya ialah bahwa restorasi Sion terjadi secara eskatologis di masa mendatang, dan teologi mengenai Sion dalam nats meliputi: (1) Akan Ada Penghukuman Di Sion, (2) Akan Ada Penyelamatan Di Sion, (3) Akan Ada Pengudusan Di Sion, (4) Akan Ada Pengembalian Wilayah Di Sion, dan (5) Akan Ada Pemerintahan TUHAN Di Sion.

Abstract

The wisdom of Israel is linked to its mission. Another unique thing is that wisdom which is usually associated with divine power, intellect, spirituality, practical skills, and the meaning of life apparently is also associated with missions for all nations. Israel as God's chosen nation with a royal priesthood carries out a noble task to fulfill His promise to Abraham that his descendants will be a blessing to all tribes. In carrying out these responsibilities, Israel needed wisdom. Through exegesis studies of Deuteronomy 4: 5-8 and supported by literature studies, it can be found that the wisdom of Israel was implemented in obedience to the law of God. From this obedience, the nations will see the quality of their lives, hear their preaching about the LORD and His decrees, and recognize that Israel is a special nation until finally they are expected to give praise to God and even follow Him. This review also reveals the fact that the mission carried out by Israel is either centripetal or centrifugal. The results of this study can also be applied in the missionary task of believers today.

Abstract

The position of women against men has triggered discussions as well as problems in the socio-religious realm. There are two main views regarding the position of women, namely the view that women are inferior to men and the other view that women should be equal to men. Each certainly voiced the claim that his views were correct. This fact raises the question of how the biblical view of women, so that Christians have biblical knowledge about women. Genesis 1-3 is the chosen study material to answer the problems that have been mentioned because the text describes the position of women before and after the fall of man into sin. With the thematic analysis method on the text of Genesis 1-3, it is found that there is continuity and discontinuity regarding the position, function, and emotions of women towards men.     Abstrak Kedudukan perempuan terhadap laki-laki telah memicu diskusi sekaligus problem dalam ranah sosio-religi. Terdapat dua pandangan utama mengenai kedudukan perempuan yaitu pandangan yang menganggap bahwa perempuan lebih rendah daripada laki-laki dan yang lain berpandangan bahwa perempuan harus setara dengan laki-laki. Masing-masing tentu menyuarakan klaim bahwa pandangannya benar. Fakta ini memunculkan pertanyaan tentang bagaimana pandangan alkitab mengenai perempuan, sehingga umat Kristen memiliki pengetahuan yang biblika mengenai perempuan. Kejadian 1-3 menjadi bahan kajian yang dipilih guna menjawab permasalahan yang telah disebutkan, sebab teks tersebut menjelaskan kedudukan perempuan sebelum dan sesudah kejatuhan manusia ke dalam dosa. Dengan metode analisis tematik terhadap teks Kejadian 1-3, diperoleh fakta bahwa terdapat kontinuitas dan diskontinuitas mengenai posisi, fungsi, dan emosi perempuan terhadap laki-laki.

Abstract

Any institution in the world certainly experiences challenges, including service institutions. When this happens, the synergy between leaders and followers is needed to find a way out. Nevertheless, often synergy does not occur because followers are passive in participating in the crisis that hit. Follower support has a positive impact on leaders. Psalm 20 can provide a biblical basis for synergy between leaders and followers during institutional struggles. The approach used is the hermeneutics of poetry, especially the analysis of its structure and themes. The structure and coherence of the theme can help find the concept of synergism in Psalm 20. The results show that Psalm 20 contains a chiasm structure. With an assessment of the group of persons, repetition of keywords, and types of parallelism, the chiasmus is composed as follows: A (v. 2), B (vv. 3-6), C (v. 7), B' (v. 8 - 9), A' (v. 10). Part C is action while part AA' is inclusion, and both of these parts contain the word 'answer' as a guide to the theme. Part B parallels part B' and supports the theme. The theme of Psalm 20 is waiting for an answer, namely protecting the king's life and victory. The findings show the synergy between leaders and followers. First, evidenced by cooperative behaviour in the action and inclusive sections; second, evidenced by the supportive followers in verses 3-6; and third, by the inspirational leader in verses 7-9.

Abstract

The holy communion is a special and sacred gathering for believers, as an occasion where they partake of the body and blood of Christ through the bread and wine. Some Christians respond to the holy communion enthusiastically through various meanings, for example as the real presence of the Lord Jesus in bread and wine (transubstantiation), a means of healing the sick, and as a moment of reconciliation between church members. Others are not very enthusiastic in taking part this sacrament. Thus some Christians see the holy communion as having a supernatural and social function, but some do not understand its function at all. Through a combination of biblical methods and the psychology of religion, this article attempts to present the meaning of the holy communion which is lifted from 1 Corinthians 10-11 through a thematic analysis method and looks at its function from the lens of the psychology of religion. As the results, holy communion can be interpreted as koinonia, eucharistia, memorabilia, kerugma, and self-schema, while its functions include cognitive, emotive, and collective aspects. Perjamuan kudus merupakan pertemuan khusus dan kudus bagi orang percaya, sebagai kesempatan dimana jemaat mengambil bagian dalam tubuh dan darah Kristus melalui roti dan anggur. Sebagian orang Kristen meresponi perjamuan kudus dengan antusias melalui bermacam-macam pemaknaan, misalnya sebagai kehadiran nyata Tuhan Yesus dalam roti dan anggur (transsubstansiasi), sarana penyembuhan sakit-penyait, dan sebagai moment rekonsiliasi antar anggota jemaat. Sebagian lagi tidak terlalu bergairah dalam mengambil bagian dan memaknai sakramen ini. Dengan demikian sebagian orang Kristen melihat perjamuan kudus memiliki fungsi supranatural dan sosial, tetapi sebagian lagi tidak memahami fungsinya sama sekali. Melalui perpaduan antara metode biblika dan psikologi agama, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan makna perjamuan kudus yang diangkat dari 1 Korintus 10-11 melalui metode analisis tematis dan melihat fungsi dari sudut pandang psikologi agama. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perjamuan kudus dapat dimaknai sebagai koinonia, eucharistia, memorabilia, kerugma, dan self-schema, sedangkan fungsinya meliputi aspek kognitif, emotif, dan kolektif.

Abstract

This article is a response to the condition of marriage in Indonesia in the last five years, where there has been a significant increase in the divorce rate. The author feels compelled to present the concept of Christian marriage comprehensively covering the juridical, sociological, and humanistic aspects so that people's domestic life is well maintained and lovingly until death do them part. The method used is literature study using secondary sources including books and articles discussing Christian marriage, and new discoveries according to related aspects. The results showed that the concept of Christian marriage can be seen from three categories, namely juridical, sociological, and humanistic. The juridical aspect is related to divine provisions where God's will for marriage is monogamous, indivisible, procreative, and heterosexual. The sociological aspect is related to the intersection of Christian marriage with the public, where marriage needs to be recognized by the community and has a positive influence on society. The humanist aspect is related to humans which includes psychological and sexual dimensions, because humans are created to have an integrated physical and mental aspect.

Abstract

There are various views about the future, including Christianity from evangelical circles themselves. There are at least two camps that have emerged related to views of the future, namely amillennialism and premillennialism. Each view has its own arguments and peculiarities. On the other hand, some Christians blame ignorance of the doctrine of the future because they find this doctrine so difficult and worthy of doubt. Using the literature study method, this article attempts to reveal the peculiarities of amillennialism and premillennialism so that the differences between the two are apparent as a result of this research. At the end, there will be suggestions as to which view to suggest. Through this article, it is hoped that believers will understand and believe in the future as revealed by the Bible. Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia Terdapat beragam pandangan tentang masa depan, termasuk kekristenan dari kalangan injili sendiri. Setidaknya ada dua kubu yang muncul terkait dengan pandangan akan masa depan, yakni amilenialism dan premilenialism. Masing-masing pandangan memiliki argumen dan kekhasannya masing-masing. Di sisi lain, sebagian orang Kristen bersikap abai terhadap doktrin tentang masa depan karena menganggap doktrin ini begitu sulit dan layak diragukan. Dengan metode studi literatur, artikel ini berusaha mengungkap kekhasan pandangan amilenialism dan premilenialism sehingga nampak perbedaan di antara keduanya sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini. Di bagian penghujung, akan ada saran mengenai pandangan mana yang disarankan. Melalui artikel ini diharapkan orang percaya memahami dan meyakini masa depan sebagaimana yang Alkitab ungkapkan.

Abstract

Ada orang yang secara sadar dan sukarela memilih gaya hidup childfree, yakni keputusan untuk menjalani hidup tanpa adanya keturunan dalam pernikahannya meskipun kondisi organ reproduksi suami maupun istri dalam keadaan memungkinkan untuk berketurunan. Alasan psikologis, ekonomi, filosofis, dan lingkungan telah menjadi pendorong untuk memilih gaya hidup childfree. Beberapa pemikir Kristen membenarkan gaya hidup ini. Namun Kejadian 1:26-28 menunjukkan prokreasi sebagai program yang Allah kehendaki dalam pernikahan. Dengan metode hermeneutika, artikel ini mengupas konsep prokreasi dalam Kejadian 1:26-28 untuk memberikan jawabann terhadap gaya hidup childfree. Hasilnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa childfree tidak sesuai dengan kebenaran biblikal dalam kitab suci.

Abstract

The church has been chosen as God's mission agent in the time of grace to express God's love for all ethnic groups in the world in a cross-cultural mission program. However, church mission activities (missio ecclesiae) in cross-cultural missions are often interpreted as limited to preaching the gospel by taking Matthew 28:19-20 to be the primary text reference. Evangelicals and Pentecostals widely hold this view. Considering other texts, it will be evident that the local church's involvement in cross-cultural missions is more expansive to include other activities. Through the method of thematic analysis of Romans 15:22-33, through a missiological lens, it is revealed that the church can share power in cross-cultural missions in three ways: accompanying evangelism in the field and donating funds for humanitarian services and praying for ongoing tasks. Church involvement is holistic, touching both spiritual and physical aspects.
