Abstract

A Study of Khalid Blankinship's Thought on the Rhetoric Features of the al-Quran in English Translations. The scope of this research was related to the rhetoric of al-Quran in English translation. The aim of this study was to examine Khalid Blankinship's thoughts which concern on the English translation of al-Quran problems which in fact English is an international language. In this English translation was found a problem in terms of the rhetorical features of al-Quran. This study used an analytical-descriptive method to explain the problems of the rhetorical features of the English translation of al-Quran which presented on Blankinship's work The Inimitable Qur'an. Meanwhile, the results of this study were related to the findings of Blankinship about problems in the English translation rhetoric, it does not fully provide the true meaning of al-Quran. This is because the rhetoric of al-Quran is different from English and may also caused by the different scientific, social and cultural backgrounds of the translators.

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to look at the discourse on the modern-contemporary interpretation methodology in Indonesia. The exegesis methodology is needed by the commentators to understand deeply the contents of the al-Qur’an according to the interpretation rules. Likewise, in exegesis works in Indonesia, the use of its methodology in this modern period is more advanced than the previous periods, collaborated with the variety of exegetical methods to answer the challenges of the new era. Some methods of interpretation, according to the author, are relevant to develop, especially the thematic method that can be collaborated with other approach and style.

Abstract

Events relating to womanhood are never separated from their relationship with men. This paper aims to read Julia Kristeva's thoughts in seeing the intersection of her thoughts between feminism and her psychoanalysis, assisted by Library Research research and using the historical descriptive-analytical type method, as a bridge to explain Kristeva's thinking about feminism. The result of this research is the relationship between Julia Kristeva's feminism and her psychoanalytic role, making feminism a symbol or marker, and discussion of women's advocacy and struggle for patriarchal culture. In addition, according to him, feminism theory also shows the existence of humiliation which is the instability of the subject. As an international philosopher and intellectual, Kristeva rejects herself as feminism, it's just that Kristeva argues that women need to find a list of alternative psychics outside of patriarchal rules if they are to discover their own truths that can be found in semiotic motility.Keywords: Feminism, Julia Kristeva, Women, Gender, Psychoanalysis

Abstract

Abstract: Problems that still often arise in social life today are ethical issues, especially in terms of maintaining privacy, both in the real world and in the virtual world (digital). Starting to lose awareness of asking for permission and waning understanding of the boundaries of privacy has the potential to cause various problems and even criminal acts in the future. So it is important to describe how the Qoran teaches adab isti'dzan (asking permission) to take moral values ​​and practice them in life. Through the ma'na-cum-maghza approach, this paper aims to analyze QS. An-Nur (24): 27 regarding how the Qoran talks about the ethics of asking for permission and its relation to maintaining privacy. This is done in order to prove that the Qoran is still shalih li kulli zaman wa makan (relevant for every time and place) and can be used as a reference in solving contemporary problems. The results of this study indicate that the Qoran through QS. An-Nur (24): 27 not only prohibits entering the house without the permission of the owner, but it can also be understood in the current context that it contains a prohibition not to disturb other people's personal data in the digital world so thatcyber crimecan be avoided.
