Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) the characteristics of the science-based learning module on the interaction between living things and the environment; 2) the feasibility of the science-based learning module on the material of the interaction of living things with the environment that has been developed in science learning; 3) the effectiveness of the science-based learning module on the interaction between living things and the environment. The research carried out is research and development (R&D). The development model implemented is the Four-D model adapted from Thiagarajan (1974) which consists of four stages including: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject of a limited trial was carried out on 9 students of class VII F at MTs Sabilurrosyad Barabali and a wide-scale trial was implemented for 30 students in class VII D at MTs Sabilurrosyad Barabali. The trial use used pre-experimental design type One-Shot Case Study. The analysis technique implemented is descriptive qualitative-quantitative. The results of the research show that: 1) the characteristics of the science-based learning module to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes on the interaction between living things and the environment have been successfully developed using the Four-D development model, 2) the module eligibility results are validated by expert validators, education practitioners, peers, and the responses given by educators and students after learning using modules, the results are that the modules are categorized as very good and feasible to be implemented in learning, 3) The effectiveness of the modules can be seen from a high level of readability and according to ability or mastery. Students' understanding of the module being developed, in this study, what was tested was the effectiveness of the module on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The effectiveness of the module can be seen from the average percentage of students' high critical thinking skills in each learning activity, namely KB I 76, 97% in sufficient categories, KB II has increased 85.72% in good categories, and in KB III increased 89, 32% with good category. The average learning outcomes of students in the knowledge aspect of KB I-KBIII increased, with details in KB I 85% of students have reached KKM, KB II 83.34% of students have reached KKM, KB III 96.64% of students have reached KKM. the average student learning outcomes in the attitude aspect increased from KB I to KB III to 3.25 consecutively; 3.36; 3.47 with good criteria. The average skills aspect of the students' learning outcomes increased from KB I - KB III to 3.07; 3.30; 3.45 with good criteria. It can be concluded that the integrated science learning module is effective for improving critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Indonesia defines several cores, namely the application of an integrated thematic learning process, using a scientific approach in learning, and authentic assessment. Some of the results of previous research on the application of the 2013 Curriculum, among others, were found that teachers who are less able to utilize resources to learn from the natural surroundings and teachers tend to maintain conventional teaching habits. From that, through this research, the researcher wants to describe how the teacher's understanding of the scientific approach; how teachers make plans for implementing learning; how the teacher applies an approach that uses science in learning, and is there a contribution between understanding the scientific approach to the application of the learning process carried out by the teacher. The research method used is the Mixed Method Research model "Embedded Design". The results of this study can be concluded, namely: (1) In general, the teacher has understood the scientific approach, but has not understood how to implement this approach in learning in; (2) the lesson plan (RPP) made by the teacher has not been described in the implementation of learning activities oriented to a scientific approach; (3) The implementation of the learning carried out by the teacher does not reflect the application of the scientific approach; (4) Understanding the scientific approach contributes 13% to the implementation of learning. Therefore, to be able to apply a scientific approach is not only determined by understanding, but the teacher's efforts are needed to always seek other knowledge that can increase and increase self-efficacy.

Abstract

The type of research used follows the type of qualitative research. Qualitative research is known to be descriptive in nature which in its application uses qualitative data analysis which makes data explanations in the form of information that is easy to understand. The learning that is assumed to be used as the subject is at the Global Nusantara Education Institute in this study using an online learning model or what is often referred to as distance learning. Students conduct online learning and interact in learning with lecturers using several applications that are often used in general, such as Google Meet, Google Classroom, Zoom, and Whatsapp Group which are independently created by students. This study aims to determine the influence of online learning on student interest in learning during the COVID-19 period at the Global Nusantara Education Institute. Respondents taken in this study were students and lecturers at the Global Nusantara Institute of Education. The results obtained in the study showed that online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic affected student interest in learning, students felt bored during learning because they did not meet or meet face-to-face with friends and lecturers directly on campus.

Abstract

The learning process on ecosystem materials still tends to be monotonous, students are not actively involved during the learning process. This causes a lack of student understanding of the concepts presented in this material. Teachers must be able to design process-oriented learning activities, so that students can develop their scientific skills. In this case, the learning process based on the inquiry-based approach is suitable for training students to create an active attitude, think critically, be able to solve problems, so that good learning outcomes are achieved. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of students' process skills through the application of gas kinetic theory learning media based on the inquiry approach. The method used in this research is the One Shoot Case Study design. The subject of this research is class X MIA 1 MA Darul Aminin NW Aikmual. The data collection instrument is a test of the results of the learning process skills. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average student's process skill absorption was in the good category of 74.95%. The level of process skills shows that 81.25% of students have good basic skills, while the integrated skills are 68.75%. It can be said that the application of learning media in the form of experimental devices based on the inquiry approach can improve the learning outcomes of students' process skills in ecosystem materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the experimental method compared to the demonstration method on student achievement in the sub-topic of measuring instruments in MTs. Mu'allimin NW Kelayu for the academic year 2021/2022. This research is using experimental method. The study population was all MTs students. Mu'allimin NW Kelayu class VII for the academic year 2021/2022, a total of three classes. The research sample was determined randomly using cluster random sampling technique and two classes were taken. One experimental class with the experimental method, namely class VIIC and one control class using the demonstration method, namely class VIIB. Data collection techniques for learning achievement with the test method. The analysis prerequisite test used normality and homogeneity tests. For normality test using chi-squared and for homogeneity test using Bartlet method. The research hypothesis was tested using a one-party t-test, namely the right side with a 95% confidence level. Based on the results of the calculations for the analysis prerequisite test, namely the normality test, it can be concluded that the two samples came from a normally distributed population because χ2count < χ2table, namely for the experimental class 8.689 < 11.070 and for the control class 8.422 < 11.070. As for the homogeneity test, it can be concluded that the sample comes from a population that is not homogeneous because χ2count > χ2table, namely 5.881 > 3.841. From the results of the analysis on hypothesis testing, it was found that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted because the price tcount > ttable was 1,926 > 1,707. Thus, it can be concluded that learning physics using the experimental method is more effective than the demonstration method on student achievement in the sub-subject of measuring instruments in class VII MTs. Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis, dan sikap positif peserta didik terhadap IPA Terpadu merupakan komponen penting yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang peserta didik, sehingga dengan memiliki keterampilan ini diharapkan  membantu peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah IPA Terpadu, maupun masalah sehari-hari. Salah satu cara mengembangkan keterampilan ini adalah dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi konflik kognitif merupakan pembelajaran yang berdasarkan masalah, dimana pada masalah yang dikemukakan terdapat fakta, keadaan, situasi yang mempertentangkan struktur kognisi peserta didik. Dalam situasi ini terjadi konflik antara pengetahuan yang dimiliki peserta didik dengan situasi yang sengaja disediakan. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis dan sikap peserta didik MTs.Qudwatun Hasanah Mertak Kesambik kelas VIII berdasarkan model pembelajaran, peserta didik, dan level sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik MTs.Qudwatun Hasanah Mertak Kesambik kelas VIII di Lombok Tengah. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi tes keterampilan IPA Terpadu, tes keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis, skala sikap peserta didik terhadap IPA Terpadu. Abstract

Penerapan kurikulum baru sangat menonjolkan pendekatan saintifik dengan proses pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Perancangan skenario proses pembelajaran menggunakan saintifik membutuhkan hasil riset implementasi di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rencana pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran pada materi elektronika dasar di SMA Islam Uswatun Hasanah. Pengembangan rencana pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran bercirikan proses pada pembelajaran saintifik, mengadopsi pendekatan problem based learning. Metode pada penelitian ini yang digunakan metode pengungkapan pendapat dan observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan RPP berbasis pendekatan saintifik melalui model problem based learning, dan mendapat tanggapan positif dari guru dan siswa, sehingga mampu berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan hard dan soft skill siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas dan pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri dengan disertai metode eksperimen pada pelajaran IPA di SDN 1 Aikmual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group pre-tes post-test Design. Jumlah siswa yang diteliti adalah 25 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi dua aspek yaitu kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri termasuk ke dalam tingkat efektif sedang dan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah belajar dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada kedua aspek yang diteliti.

Abstract

Era globalisasi menuntut sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Kemampuan ini dikembangkan melalui pendidikan IPA. Hasil observasi menemukan peserta didik kurang memperoleh kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang berawal dari masalah adalah Problem Based Learning. Dalam Problem Based Learning peserta didik menyelesaikan masalah nyata tentang lingkungan dan berhubungan dengan kepentingan masyarakat. Peserta didik yang menjadi pemecah masalah diharapkan memiliki sikap peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan sikap peduli lingkungan. Subjek yang diteliti merupakan peserta didik kelas VII SMP Darul Aminin NW Aikmual. Metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan kelompok kontrol (pra tes dan pos tes). Kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan PBL sedangkan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan bukan PBL. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah diukur dengan soal uraian. Sikap peduli lingkungan dihimpun dengan angket sikap eksplisit dan sikap implisit. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS for window versi 21. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah menggunakan Independen Test, sedangkan sikap peduli lingkungan menggunakan Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik yang memperoleh PBL ( = 0,440) lebih tinggi dari peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran bukan  PBL (= 0,281), t (56) = 2,213 >ttabel�= 1,671. Sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik yang memperoleh PBL lebih tinggi dari peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran bukan PBL. Dengan demikian Model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik SMP Darul Aminin NW Aikmual.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA terpadu ditekankan untuk diterapkan disemua jenjang pendidikan. Pengembangan modul IPA Terpadu bermuatan pada  karakter dengan tema pemanasan global dapat membantu pembelajaran IPA terpadu di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Qudwatun Hasanah Mertak Kesambik. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan serta keefektifan modul IPA terpadu bermuatan pendidikan karakter yang telah dikembangkan peneliti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengambangan. Tahapan-tahapan penelitian dikembangkan menggunakan model R&D yang diambil versi Sugiyono, 2009. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modul IPA terpadu bermuatan  karakter layak serta efektif diterapkan untuk pembelajaran IPA Terpadu. Hal ini terlihat dari skor kelayakan penilaian tercapai 3,54 sesuai kriteria layak. Sedangkan pada ketuntasan klasikal yang diperoleh siswa pada uji lapangan tercapai 100% yang artinya modul ini sangat efektif diterapkan pada saat  pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa modul IPA terpadu dengan muatan karakter dengan tema Pemanasan Global layak digunakan sesuai dengan kriteria kelayakan bahan ajar. Modul IPA terpadu berkarakter yang dikembangkan juga efektif dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di MTs.Qudwatu Hasanah kelas VII Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019
