Abstract

Imminent preterm is the presence of a threat in pregnancy with emergence signs in 20 weeks-37 weeks and the baby's birth weight is less than 2500 grams. Signs of diagnosis of imminent preterm such as contractions about 4 times in 20 minutes or 8 times in one hour and progressive changes in the cervix such as opening more than 1 cm, softening around 75-80% and even thinning of the cervix . Asthma is a chronic respiratory disorder that occurs due to breathing smooth muscle spasm, mucosal edema, and increased mucus secretion due to the response of allergens or excessive stimuli. Asthma in pregnancy is based on episodic symptoms in the form of airway flow obstruction, which is reversible or partially reversible. The severity of asthma can be classified as intermittent asthma, mild persistent asthma, moderate persistent asthma and severe persistent asthma, depending on the frequency and severity of symptoms, including night symptoms, episodes of attack and lung conditions. Some theories suggest the relationship of asthma with the occurrence of preterm labor. The theory is based on the similarity of the mechanism between the bronchial muscle and the myometrial muscle. Examples of theories proposed are the use of B-receptor stimulants that can relieve bronchospasm as well as can be used to delay preterm labor, such as the use of Salbutamol medication. In addition, Ca channel blockers that induce bronchodilation at the same time can also reduce uterine contraction activity. Prostaglandin F2α used in inducing labor can cause bronchoconstriction in subjects with a history of asthma and non-asthma.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is one form of hypertension in pregnancy. The proportion of hypertension in pregnancy as the leading cause of maternal mortality is increased compared with bleeding and infection. There are potential benefits from the consumption of calcium supplements during pregnancy that decrease preeclampsia. The Purpose of this study was to determine the risk of consuming fewer calcium supplement during pregnancy to the incidence of preeclampsia at RSUD Kota Agung Kabupaten Tanggamus. The design of this study is case-control. The case population was pregnant women with preeclampsia and the control population was pregnant women without preeclampsia. The sample of case consists 46 respondents and sample of control consists 46 respondents. Incidence of preeclampsia data was obtained from the KIA book, while consumption of calcium supplement from the questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using Chi-square. In pregnant women with preeclampsia more who consuming less calcium (65.2%) than the control group (34.8%). Based on bivariate analysis, p = 0.004 and OR 3.875 (95% CI: 1.632 – 9.203). Consumption of fewer calcium supplements during pregnancy may increase the risk of preeclampsia by 3.8 times when compared with those consuming enough calcium supplements during pregnancy.

Abstract

Hydatidiform mole is a pathological feature characterized by enlargement of the placental villi. The exact cause is unknown, the incidence of mole varies by race. Hydatidiform mole currently occurs in about 1 in 2000 pregnancies in Europe and the United States, but this case is closer to 1 in 500 in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia. Significant incidence increases of mole have been observed in women after the age of 40 and in women aged below 20. Hydatidiform mole is a common part of gestational trophoblastic disease. Hydatidiform mole can be classified as a benign trophoblast disease. According histologically, the hydatidiform mole is divided into three forms, complete, partial and invasive hydatidiform mole. Mole appears in the first trimester of pregnancy, and usually appears as early pregnancy bleeding. Histopathological examination is the gold standard for diagnosing molar. Complete mole appearance appears as a spontaneous abortion at 8-18 weeks gestation with elevated serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG), partial mole usually occurs at 8-22 weeks gestation and invasive moles have normal or normal serum β-hCG levels. low. Histopathologically, the three are distinguished by the shape of the villus, cistern, trophoblastic inclusions, fetal tissue and trophoblast. In invasive mole bleeding and expansion of molar tissue invasion may occur. Routine histopathological examination after first trimester abortion is to detect ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy, which require further treatment.

Abstract

Bilirubin is a sequence product of red blood cells in the reticule-endothelial system. At excessive concentrations, about 5 mg/dL bilirubin will appear clinically as a yellow color on the skin and mucous membranes which is called jaundice. Jaundice can be physiological and pathological or commonly known as hyperbilirubinemia. Hyperbilirubinemia is a pathological condition that arises at the first day of birth and increasing of bilirubin levels 5 mg/dL per day rapidly, ABO incompatibility is the most common risk factor causes hyperbilirubinemia in newborns. ABO incompatibilities included in the main blood group antigen are blood group A and B which are the most common cases in newborns. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between incidences of hyperbilirubinemia with ABO incompatibility in newborns at Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Lampung. This is observational analytic study using cross sectional method. Total sampling method was done. Medical record was data source of this study. Data analysis was performed by chi-square test with p <0.05. The study used 325 medical records with 20% hyperbilirubinemia of newborn, 80% without hyperbilirubinemia, ABO incompatibility incidence is 20.9% and 79.1% without ABO incompatibility. Data analysis showed significant relationship of hipebilirubinemia with ABO incompatibility in newborns at Abdul Moeloek Hospital Lampung (p<0, 05). There study showed relationship between hypebilirubinemia with ABO incompatibility in newborn at Abdul Moeloek Hospital Lampung.

Abstract

Nutrition is one of the determinants of the quality of human resources. Malnutrition can cause failure of physical growth and development of intelligence, reduce work productivity and reduce endurance. The role of essential nutrients is basically not taken seriously by the community, especially adolescents. Insufficient nutritional needs in adolescents occur due to an imbalance in the intake of nutrients in the diet. The diet of adolescents is currently influenced by their environment, such as friends and media in choosing foods that tend to follow trends, coupled with wrong eating habits such as a vegetarian diet, dislike or abstinence from certain types of food. Vegetarian diets have a high risk for the occurrence of deficiency of several nutrients such as protein, iron, calcium, zinc, copper, amino acids, fatty acids, omega 3, omega 6, vitamin D, and Vitamin B12. Protein is the most high-risk nutrient that is deficient in vegetarians and has a function that is essential for the body in the formation of hemoglobin (Hb), protein plays an important role in the transportation of iron in the body. Therefore, a lack of protein intake can cause iron transport to be hampered resulting in iron deficiency resulting in anemia. Several studies have shown that there is a significant relationship between vegetable protein intake and hemoglobin levels.
