<![CDATA[Abstract : Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that does not cause death directly, but fatal if notmanaged appropriately. Control of DM disease process is largely determined by the high treatment compliance to prevent any complications. This research is an analytic with cross sectional study done prospectively to population of 266 patients with type II diabetes mellitus in Internist policlinicDr. Oen Solo Baru hospital in November 2018 - January 2019 with a sampling technique is pusposive sampling. This study was conducted to determine the percentage of patients' adherence to treatment of type II diabetes mellitus provided and determine whether there is a correlation between the level of compliance therapy on the effectiveness of the therapy. From the research that has been done shows a high level of compliance (32.3%), moderate (50.4%) and low (17.3%). Characteristics of patients with type II DM obtained is aged 56-65 (45.9%), women (62.8%), basic education (65.4%), did not work (62.0%), experienced obese 1 (32 , 3%), disease duration 1-5 years (53.0%), with no family history of diabetes (69.9%), got support (74.1%), did not exercise (62.8%), using BPJS health (93.6%), got a combination of two drugs (48.9%), metformin + glimepiride (34.5%) had comorbidities (74.8%), one of comorbidities (34.2%), is hypertension (28.1%), From the research it can be concluded there is a correlation between the level of compliance therapy on the effectiveness of the therapy (p Value = 0.000).  Keywords : Diabetes mellitus type II, adherence to therapy, the effectiveness of the therapy Abstrak : Diabetes Mellitus merupakan penyakit kronik yang tidak menyebabkan kematian secara langsung, tapi berakibat fatal bila pengelolaannya tidak tepat. Proses kontrol terhadap penyakit DM sangat ditentukan oleh kepatuhan berobat yang tinggi untuk mencegah segala komplikasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional yang dikerjakan secara prospektif tehadap populasi sebanyak 266 pasien DMtipe II di PoliklinikDalam RS. Dr Oen Solo Baru bulan Nopember 2018 - Januari 2019 dengan tehnik pengambilan sampel pusposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat kepatuhan pasien DM tipe II terhadap terapi yang diberikan serta mengetahui ada tidaknya korelasi antara tingkat kepatuhan terapi terhadap efektivitas terapi. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil tingkat kepatuhan tinggi (32,3%), sedang (50,4%) dan rendah (17,3%). Karakteristik pasien DM tipe II yang diperoleh yaitu berusia 56-65 (45,9%), perempuan (62,8%), pendidikan dasar (65,4%), tidak bekerja (62,0%), mengalami obes 1 (32,3%), lama sakit 1-5 th (53,0%), tanpa riwayat DM keluarga (69,9%), mendapat dukungan (74,1%), tidak olah raga (62,8%), menggunakan BPJS kesehatan (93,6%), mendapat kombinasi 2 obat (48,9%), terapi metformin + glimepiride (34,5%), memiliki penyakit penyerta (74,8%), satu penyakit penyerta (34,2%) yaitu hipertensi (28,1%).
