Abstract

The results study indicate that the learning process in class VII-A semester 2 of SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama is increasing. This increase was seen in the processing observation sheets student the activities through the process of cycle I, namely the average percentage of observations student the activity 71,39% and the percentage experiencing an increase in cycle II, which was 76,6%. 77,43% experienced an increase in the process through the second cycle obtained by an average of 82,82% which explained that learning outcomes students class VII-A semester II of SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama 2018/2019 Academic Year the discussion lines and angles there was an increase. This increase is seen the processing the results of learning test process through the first cycle obtained an average percentage success 73,82% and the percentage of incompleteness of 26,18%; processing results the second cycle learning process test obtained average with success percentage of 75,87% and with percentage of incompleteness of 24,13% thus results learning process of have reached the graduation target.

Abstract

The purpose of the implementation of this study was to determine the effect of the index card match learning model on student cognitive learning outcomes in Integrated Science subjects class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Maniamolo in the 2020/2021 Learning Year. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The sample of this research is class VIII-A with 30 students and class VIII-B with 31 students. The instrument used is a learning outcome test which is divided into two, namely the initial test and the final test and documentation. Based on the results of data processing that has been carried out by researchers, the following results are obtained: "Based on the results of data processing that has been carried out and the calculation of hypothesis testing, it is obtained tcount = 3.62 and ttable = 1.67. This shows the value of tcount> ttable, then Ho rejects and accepts Ha, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Index Card Match Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Integrated Science Subjects for Class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Maniamolo 2020/2021

Abstract

Kebudayaan merupakan wujud dari norma, nilai dan adat istiadat berperan penting pada dunia pendidikan secara khusus dalam pembelajaran matematika. Nias Selatan yang kaya akan budaya dapat menjadi referensi bagi guru matematika untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran. Kebudayaan yang sangat menarik untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika yaitu budaya “hombo batu”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hombo batu dan mendeskripsikan konsep matematika yang terdapat di dalamnya sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembalajaran matematika. Pendekatan Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah budaya hombo batu di Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, hombo batu memiliki 4 konsep-konsep matematika secara umum yaitu konsep limas persegi panjang terpancung masing-masing titik sudut, rusuk, sisi atau bidang, diagonal sisi, diagonal ruang, bidang diagonal, persegi panjang, trapesium, jaring-jaring, luas permukaan dan volume; konsep kesebangunan masing-masing sebangun dan kongruen; konsep geometri transformasi masing-masing refleksi dan dilatasi; serta konsep pola bilangan, sehingga budaya hombo batu dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika.Kata Kunci: Hombo batu; konsep matematika; media pembelajaran matematika.  AbstractCulture is the realization of norms, values, and customs that takes important role in education field particularly in the learning of mathematics. South Nias with rich cultures can become reference for mathematics teacher to create media of learning. The very interesting culture that can be used as the media of learning of mathematics is culture which named “hombo batu”. This research aims at identifying hombo batu and describing the mathematics concept that found within it so it can be used as the media of learning of mathematics. This research is designed in qualitative research design through ethnography research approach. The focus of this research is culture “hombo batu” in South Nias Regency. The techniques of data collection that used are observation, intervew and documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion, hombo batu has four mathematical concepts in general, they are truncated rectangular pyramid off at each corner points, edges, side or field, diagonal side, diagonal space, rectangle, trapezoid, nets surface area and volume; the similarities are congruent and congruent respectively, the transformation geometry of each reflection and dilatation, and number patterns, so that the hombo batu culture can be used as a medium for learning mathematics.Keywords: Hombo batu; mathematical concepts; media of learning of mathematics.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas pembelajaran matematika dengan penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script dan meningkatkan hasil siswa pada materi lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Amandraya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative script dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi lingkaran. Peningkatan tersebut nampak pada rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 68,6 dengan persentase ketuntasan 75% dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II 83 dengan persentase ketuntasan 92% sehingga peningkatan sebesar 17%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengimpelementasikan alur belajar berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) pada topik barisan dan deret untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Alur belajar yang diberikan berisikan permasalahan nyata yang menbantu siswa mengikuti proses-proses matematisasi guna membangun pengetahuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Telukdalam dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik tes dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa ada peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa setelah menggunakan alur belajar berbasis RME. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebelum tindakan berada pada kategori sangat kurang mencapai 48,41. Sedangkan setelah tindakan berada pada kategori baik, hal ini ditunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata mencapi 74,85. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa alur belajar berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya kognitif dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey dan korelasional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 O’O’U khususnya dikelas VIIIb. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu tes, yakni: tes gaya kognitif dengan menggunakan tes GEFT dan tes kemampuan penalaran siswa. Selanjutnya, analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi dan regresi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa adanya hubungan gaya kognitif dengan kemampuan penalaran siswa, ini diperoleh hasil uji korelasi dimana nilai sig. = 0,028 < = 0,05 sehingga Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Selanjutnya, untuk analisis hasil uji regresi diperoleh bahwa adanya kontribusi gaya kognitif terhadap kemampuan penalaran siswa sebesar 20% dan 80% dipengaruhi oleh karena faktor lain.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the connection skills and understanding of students' mathematical concepts, especially in cube and block material. The study took a qualitative approach and used descriptive research. The findings of this research show some of the students still have difficulty understanding the concept of cube and block material. The students are still confused in choosing what procedures (formulas) to use in solving test questions, and the students still have difficulty applying the concept of cubes and blocks in working on problems. Furthermore, for the mathematical connection ability, students did not understand the relationship between the concept of cubes and blocks. This is because students do not understand the test questions and have mastered the previous prerequisite material that relevant to the questions. The students' accuracy in doing arithmetic operations often makes calculation errors. The conclusion is the students' ability to connect and understand mathematical concepts is still low.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak Covid 19 pada pembelajaran matematika di daerah pedesaan khususnya di Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa di beberapa sekolah di kabupaten nias selatan, antara lain: SMP Negeri 1 Maniamolo, SMP Negeri 2 Maniamolo, SMP Negeri 3 Maniamolo, SMP Negeri 4 Maniamolo, SMP Swasta Citra Sakti Hilisimaetano, dan SMP Swasta Kristen BNKP Hilisimaetano. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian melalui lembar observasi dan lembar wawancara. Pada lembar observasi memuat tentang hasil pengamatan kondisi pembelajaran matematika yang dilaksanakan pada masa pandemik, kemudian lembar wawancara memuat sederet pertanyaan yang ditanyakan kepada guru dan siswa untuk mendapatkan informasi akurat tentang kondisi pembelajaran pada masa pandemik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa kondisi pembelajaran matematika di sekolah daerah pedesaan berada pada kondisi tidak baik. Hal ini ditandai dari hasil pengamatan dan wawancara dari guru dan siswa bahwa:1) pembelajaran tidak belajar efektif, 2) siswa kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran, 3) kebijakkan tentang pembelajaran daring tidak memungkinan pada daerah pedesaan, 4) kondisi jaringan tidak stabil, 5) kurangnya pengontrolan dari guru dan orangtua selama siswa belajar, 6) kebanyakkan mengeluh terhadap pembelian Handphone dan pulsa karena faktor ekonomi yang rendah. Berdasarkan masalah-masalah tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa masa Covid 19 ini lebih banyak berdampak negatif terhadap pembelajaran matematika terutama terhadap sekolah di daerah pedesaan.

Abstract

The philosophy of the game of football begins with a question of why and how the phenomenon in football can occur in terms of physics. In soccer, there are some interesting phenomenon, such as banana kicks. Botohilisilambo Village is a village located in the Luahagundremaniamolo sub-district, South Nias Regency. Didesa botohili silambo has the only good field for sports facilities for soccer. Every Sunday this field is filled with you young and old, who want to channel a hobby to simply play ball without technique. There, young people are not familiar with the technique of kicking a good and perfect ball. So try to introduce to young people in the village of Botohili Silambo field to try to do the technique of kicking the ball with the concept of parabolic motion when kicking both during long distance shots and in the penalty area. This benefit to train makes it easy for them to kick the ball with the basic technique of long-distance kicks in curved curves into the air.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of having mathematical communication skills in the material of a two-variable linear equation system. This study aims to describe mathematical communication skills and determine the factors that affect the mathematical communication skills of eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Maniamolo on SPLDV material. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research approach. The informants of this research were students of class VIII of SMPN 3 Maniamolo as many as 37 students. The data were analyzed by the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research instrument used was a test of students' mathematical communication skills and interviews. The research findings show that: (1) in general, the communication skills of class VIII SMPN 3 Maniamolo students are in the medium category, there are 4 students (10.81%) in the high category, 22 students (59.46%) moderate, and 11 students (29 ,73%) in the low category. The percentage of students' communication skills on each indicator, namely, Written Text (33.00%), Drawing (36.41%), and Mathematical Expressions (14.44%). (2) Factors that influence students' mathematical communication skills are: students' interest in learning mathematics, basic knowledge of mathematics, mastery and understanding of students' concepts of material, activeness of students in learning mathematics and teachers. Through this research, the researcher suggests that students' mathematical communication skills should be further improved by practicing math problems related to mathematical communication.
