Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease. Diabetes mellitus can be controlled by administering insulin therapy. In addition to insulin therapy controlling blood sugar levels can be done by using dragon fruit. The purpose of this review literature is to determine the effect of giving red dragon fruit juice on reducing blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus in 2020. Research Methods: this research uses the literature study method or literature review, literature studies can be obtained from various sources both journals, books, documentation and literature that is critically reviewing or reviewing the knowledge, ideas or findings contained in a literature. Research Results: the effect of giving dragon fruit juice on reducing blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus conducted by previous studies various health benefits made an herbal drink to reduce blood sugar levels and can be applied by various research subjects such as adolescents, adults and the effective elderly for reducing blood sugar levels can be seen from the decrease in pre-test and post-test scores. Conclusions and Recommendations: Therapy for giving dragon fruit juice can be done anywhere, not only for diabetics, but this dragon fruit has many benefits and can be consumed by teenagers, adults Keywords: dragon fruit, diabetes

Abstract

ABSTRACT Surgery is a stressful experience for some patients, due to fears such as fear of being given anesthesia, fear of feeling unbearable pain, fear of death, causing anxiety. Anxiety is common in surgery patients at all stages of surgery, but it will be more obvious that anxiety occurs in the pre-operative phase or before surgery. The purpose of this study was to find out about the effect of health education on anxiety levels in preoperative patients at Malingping Hospital. The type of research conducted using a quasi-experimental design method : one group pre-test and post-test design, The sampling technique in this study used the random sampling technique as many as 45 respondents. The results of this study were tested using the Paired T-Test and showed that the average level of anxiety of respondents after being given health education was smaller than the level of anxiety before being given health education. Paired T-Test analysis obtained p-value is 0.000 this means it is smaller than the value of 0.05 (p <0.05). so it can be concluded that there is a difference in anxiety before being given health education and after being given health education.  Keywords: Health Education, Anxiety Level, Pre Operation  ABSTRAK Tindakan operasi merupakan pengalaman yang menegangkan bagi sebagian pasien, dikarenakan rasa takut seperti takut saat dilakukan anestesi, takut merasakan nyeri yang tak tertahankan, takut kematian, sehingga menyebabkan kecemasan. Kecemasan biasa terjadi pada pasien operasi diseluruh tahapan operasi, namun akan nampak lebih jelas kecemasannya terjadi pada fase pre-operasi ataupun sebelum pembedahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk megetahui tentang Pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat kecemasan pada pasien pre Operasi di RSUD Malingping. Jenis penelitian yang di lakukan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental design : one group pre test and post test design. Tehnik pengambilan sempel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling sebanyak 45 responden. Hasil penelitian ini diuji dengan uji Paired  T-Test dan menunjukkan rata-rata tingkat kecemasan  responden  setelah  diberikan  pendidikan  kesehatan  lebih  kecil jika dibandingkan dengan tingkat kecemasan sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan. Analisis uji Paired  T-Test diperoleh p-value adalah 0,000 ini berarti lebih kecil dari nilai α 0,05 (p < 0,05), sehingga dapat   disimpulkan   bahwa   ada perbedaan   yang   kecemasan   sebelum   diberikan pendidikan  kesehatan  dan  setelah  diberikan  pendidikan  kesehatan Kata Kunci:  Pendidikan Kesehatan, Tingkat Kecemasan, Pre Operasi

Abstract

Endoscopy is a sophisticated service technique to visually examine the gastrointestinal tract by looking directly at the monitor screen for various abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract. One of the failures of endoscopy is patient compliance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of endoscopic preparation education on adherence to endoscopic preparation at Tangerang District Hospital. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide benefits for the development of Nursing Sciences and Hospital Agencies and other researchers who will follow up on the results of this study. This study uses experimental equations design with nonequivalent control group designs post-test research design. The population of 20 people was chosen using accidental sampling technique, namely the first 10 people as the intervention group and the second 10 people as the control group. The results of univariate analysis showed that the respondents' characteristics in the intervention group, which were average age of 43.70 years, women (80%), elementary and secondary education had a balanced distribution (50%), not working (80%), and type of EGD endoscopy ( 100%). Whereas in the control group the average age was 51.40 years, male (80%), basic education (80%), working (60%), EGD (60%). The results of endoscopic preparation education had a balanced distribution (50.0%) and the compliance of endoscopic preparation in the intervention group was mostly obedient (80%) and the control was non-compliant (20%). The results of bivariate analysis with chi square test showed that there was an effect of endoscopic preparation education on the compliance of patients carrying out endoscopic preparations at Tangerang District Hospital (P value <0.05). It is expected that the hospital can establish a Standard Operational Procedure (SPO) that is clearly related to the gastrointestinal endoscopy preparation procedure with the provision of health education in accordance with the case for patients who will be carried out endoscopic action with effective socialization and supervision so that it can be understood and carried out by all nursing care providers
