Abstract

This research aims to describe the character education implementation in the fourth-grade thematics learning of primary schools. This research applies a descriptive qualitative method. The technique of collecting the data is purposive sampling. The subjects consisted of SD Islam Al Madina, SDN Petompon 01, and SD Marsudirini. The techniques for collecting the data were deep interviews, observation, and documentation. The techniques of the data validity were a source and method triangulation. The findings showed the character education on thematic learning of the fourth graders of the schools had been promoted by integrating the character values in three stages. They were planning, acting, and evaluating. Each stage had different activities and internalized different character values. They were adjusted with the specific features, vision, mission, and objectives of the schools. The implications of this research are to describe the ways to implement character education in thematic learning at Primary Schools. Thus, the character values could be internalized well for the students during the classroom learning activity.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal yang terdapat pada masyarakat di Indonesia banyak mengandung nilai luhur budaya bangsa, salah satunya kearifan lokal di Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) nilai kearifan lokal yang ada di masyarakat Majalengka untuk membentuk karakter siswa sekolah dasar, 2) cara menanamkan nilai tersebut sehingga dapat membentuk karakter siswa sekolah dasar.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi pustaka sistematis, langkah penelitiannya yaitu menemukan artikel yang sesuai dengan dua kata kunci, memenuhi kriteria inklusi eksklusi, lolos penilaian kualitas terdiri dari penilaian pertanyaan penelitian, metodologi, dan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal Kabupaten Majalengka yang dapat diajarkan kepada siswa SD adalah tari kedempling, tari simbarkencana, jum’at bersih, dan tradisi di Majalengka. Nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam kearifan lokal tersebut diantarnya (1) religius, (2) toleransi, (3) disiplin, (4) jujur, (5) demokrasi, (6) mandiri, (7) bersahabat/ komunikatif, (8) peduli sosial, dan (9) bekerja keras.  Bentuk implementasinya dengan mengintegrasikan pada pembelajaran tematik bidang SBdP, kegiatan pembiasaan dan mengajak siswa untuk ikut serta pada kegiatan tradisi masyarakat Majalengka. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran untuk mengembangkan penelitian selanjutnya mengenai kearifan lokal dan diintegrasikan pada pembelajaran lain.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the self-efficacy and perspectives of primary school parents in an online learning during COVID-19. The survey method was applied in this study with a random sampling technique for parents in West Java. Participants included in this study were 95 parents of elementary school students. The instruments applied were open and closed questionnaires. Overall, parental self-efficacy was moderate, namely 45.98. Parents' self-efficacy in public primary schools was higher than from private primary schools. However, in inferential, there was no significant difference between the self-efficacy of parents in public and private primary schools. 55% of parents rated online learning as effective. For students, 44% of parents felt that students had difficulties understanding online learning materials at home. On the other hand, 82% of parents felt student assessments assisted in learning from home. 93% of parents found it easy to access online learning. 68% of parents were satisfied with online learning during COVID-19. Thus, online learning is a breakthrough in learning activities with the use of future technology during COVID-19. Educators are also required to create interactive learning through online learning platform and with the cooperation from parents at home.

Abstract

The application of innovative and interactive learning media can encourage students to be active in learning. However, in reality social studies learning is still teacher-centered. The teachers do not use innovative learning media, and are fixated on one source book that has been provided by the school. This study is to determine the effect of using cultural map media on student learning outcomes on the material diversity of the Indonesian nation. The study used a quasi-experimental research method using one experimental group. Therefore, the design used by the researcher is a one group pretest-posttest design. The results of the statistical test showed that the average posttest results of the students were higher than the students' average pretest, which was 83.77 > 76.33 with Sig = 0.000. Therefore, the application of cultural map learning media has an effect on improving student learning outcomes on the material diversity of the Indonesian nation

Abstract

Students should be trained to solve problems in mathematics so that they can do so in their studies also so that they can solve problems in their everyday lives, especially mathematical ones, with ease. This study aimed to learn how well students in grade five at SDN 26 in Rejang Lebong solved mathematical problems requiring higher-level critical thinking (HOTS). This study is an example of content analysis as a type of qualitative descriptive research. Students from Class 26 at VA SDN SDN in Rejang Lebong comprise the research sample. Testing members are used for data collection. The test questions are five multiple-choice HOTS problems. Research findings demonstrate students' varying abilities to solve arithmetic problems. The students have a good grasp of the issues from the perspective of problem understanding. Students aren't fully utilizing concepts and procedures while analyzing problems and developing solutions with mathematical tools, which is an issue with regard to problem-solving planning. Students have not fully written solutions to problems from both the planning and implementation perspectives, and from the perspective of looking back at previous solutions, they have not written those solutions down either.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the process of guidance on writing scientific articles through synchronous and asynchronous models for students as the outcome of field studies on children with special needs. The research was conducted through a pre-experimental design with one-shot case studies. One hundred fourteen elementary school teacher candidates at a state campus in Purwakarta Regency were involved in this study by filling out a questionnaire. Data dianalisis melalui analisis data survei. Guidance with a synchronous model utilizes the Zoom application, while asynchronous uses tutorials via YouTube and Google Classroom. Synchronous guidance allows students to have virtual discussions and receive direct explanations from lecturers, while asynchronous guidance makes it easier for students to review topics that have not been understood flexibly, cost-effectively, and comfortably. Guidance on writing scientific articles through synchronous and asynchronous models is considered effective in increasing the ability and confidence of elementary school teachers candidates in writing scientific articles. Combining synchronous and asynchronous models can create varied scientific article writing guidance and minimize the shortcomings of both. Experts are advised to explore various methods and digital platforms to provide guidance and access various sources to learn good scientific writing.Bimbingan menulis ilmiah untuk mahasiswa pendidikan guru sekolah dasar melalui sinkron dan asinkronTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi proses bimbingan menulis artikel ilmiah melalui model synchronous dan asynchronous bagi siswa sebagai hasil studi lapangan pada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui desain pra-eksperimen dengan one-shot case studies. 114 calon guru SD di kampus negeri di Kabupaten Purwakarta dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengisi kuesioner. Bimbingan dengan model sinkron menggunakan aplikasi Zoom, sedangkan model asinkron menggunakan tutorial melalui YouTube yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti sendiri dan Google Classroom. Pembinaan penulisan artikel ilmiah melalui model synchronous dan asynchronous dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dan kepercayaan diri calon guru SD dalam menulis artikel ilmiah sebagai titik awal bagi mahassiwa guru sekolah dasar untuk memahami serta membuat karya ilmiah yang baik dan benar karena 88,9% responden menganggap penyampaian materi secara sinkron dan asinkron mudah dipahami. Selain itu para mahasiswa dapat memahami materi lebih detail dan tidak tertinggal atas poin-poin penting yang harus dipelajari dalam menulis karya ilmiah sesuai dengan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa pendidikan guru sekolah dasar. Maka penulis merekomendasikan agar para dosen dan ahli untuk menggabungkan model sinkron dan asinkron dalam praktek perkuliahannya dengan membuat panduan penulisan artikel ilmiah yang bervariasi dan meminimalkan kekurangan keduanya melalui mengeksplorasi berbagai metode dan platform digital untuk memberikan panduan dan mengakses berbagai sumber untuk mempelajari penulisan ilmiah yang baik.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia telah memasuki era revolusi industri 4.0. Revolusi industri 4.0 ini ditandai dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, sehingga semua orang dapat dengan mudah mengakses apapun, dimana pun dan kapan pun. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini yaitu siswa menjadi lebih mudah untuk mengakses informasi, sehingga berdampak pada perilaku siswa yang ikut meniru perbuatan kurang baik. Oleh karena itu pendidikan pada era 4.0 di Sekolah Dasar perlu diimbangi dengan pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter merupakan proses penanaman moral dan agama yang diberikan kepada siswa dengan cara pembiasaan sejak dini, penguatan dan pengembangan perilaku. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pendidikan era revolusi 4.0, mendeskripsikan pentingnya pendidikan karakter pada siswa Sekolah Dasar di era 4.0 dan mendeskripsikan cara mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter pada siswa Sekolah Dasar untuk menghadapi era 4.0. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter begitu penting untuk menghadapi degradasi akhlak, moral dan budi pekerti di era 4.0, sehingga pendidikan karakter perlu ditanamkan sejak dini.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang masih cenderung teacher centered dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas, serta siswa dibiarkan puas dengan hanya mengerjakan soal-soal rutin. Tujuan penelitian, yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan bahan ajar cetak handout dengan model obsorn terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah kelas IV SD Negeri Bendan Ngisor. Subjek penelitian ini kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan 23 siswa dan kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan 25 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun teknik analisis data penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan Uji Independent T test. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran yang menggunakan handout dengan model pembelajaran obsern efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, hasil perhitungan diperoleh ????ℎ???????????????????? = 2,57, dengan ????=5%, ???????? = 46 diperoleh ???????????????????????? = 2,02. Karena ????ℎ???????????????????? > ???????????????????????? rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan handout dengan model pembelajaran osborn lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran osborn tanpa handout dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, hal tersebut ditunjukan juga dengan nilai N-Gain yang diperoleh eksperimen lebih tinggi kontrol. Peningkatan kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai Gain yaitu 0,50 dengan kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai Gain 0,17 dengan kategori rendah. Hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan handout dengan model pembelajaran osborn lebih efektif
