Abstract

Bamboo is a group of plants that have the ability to absorb CO2 in high concentrations because having the number of stomata on bamboo leaves relatively tight and has are more than 500 stomata per mm2. Thus bamboo plant can be used as an effective bioakumulator which can reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere. The purpose of this study was to determine the biomass content of bamboo, and                    (carbon stocks) in the public forests of bamboo and analyze the uptake of CO2 in bamboo plantations community forest Belangke (Gigantochloa pruriens Widjaja). The method used in this study is a destructive method. Sampling was done by purposive sampling felling. The results  showed the best allometric equations for mass content of the biomass and    carbon was  W = 173.889-533.233D+4.262D2 for biomass content and          C = 54.606-D-16.386+1.297D2 for carbon mass. The potential of biomass and carbon stocks in Forest Community Durin Serugun village, Sibolangit sub-district, Deli Serdang District is 16.59 tonnes / ha and 6.08 tons C / ha. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the type of tree vegetation, carbon stocks, and its economic vale in experimental forest of Pondok Buluh, Simalungun District, North Sumatra.  It was conducted from April to May 2014. The collection of data used path method, and the sampling technique used Purpose sampling with random start method. The plot size by 20 m × 100 m consist of 10 plots categorized as large plot in observation of trees with diameter > 30 cms and there was small plot within by 5 m × 40 m to observe the tree with diameter 5 cms to     < 30 cms. The collection of data performed by non-destructive method with biomass data analysis using allometric models with a carbon content 0f 46% of biomass. The results of study shown that 49 species of trees derived from 25 families. Carbon content stored on observation plots 173,40 tons/ha, and estimation of total carbon stocks 190.737,70 tons. The economic value carbon stock above ground biomass of standing tree in Education Forest of Pondok Buluh around IDR 33.474.466.350,00 to IDR 44.632.621.800,00.

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the interactions between learning models and initial abilities. The mean differences of concept masteries and work sheets with initial ability, learning model that is more effective beetwen make a match and students worksheet in improving accounting concept. Technique used was Cluster Sampling Technique. Pre test determined groups of initial abilities, and post test of concept mastery of accounting improvement. The results interactions between learning models and initial abilities indicate 0.002 0.05, h0 is rejected; Mean high initial abilities concept masteries indicate 0,009 0,05 h0 is rejected, midle 0,564 0,05 H0 be accepted, low 0,006 0,05 h0 is rejected. Make a match is more effective. The conclusion improvement of accounting concept mastery with make a match learning is higher for high and low initial ability, while in the work sheet improvement is higher in the middle initial ability.Penelitian quasi eksperimen bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal; perbedaan mean penguasaan konsep make a match dan LKS dengan kemampuan awal; model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara make a match dan LKS dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep akuntansi. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Pre test menentukan kelompok kemampuan awal, post test peningkatan penguasaan konsep. Hasil interaksi antar model pembelajaran kemampuan awal 0,002 0,05, H0 ditolak. Mean penguasaan konsep antar model kemampuan awal tinggi 0,009 0,05 H0 ditolak, sedang 0,564 0,05 H0 diterima, rendah 0,006 0,05 H0 ditolak. Make a match lebih efektif. Disimpulkan tanpa memperhatikan kemampuan awal, peningkatan penguasaan konsep make a match lebih tinggi dari LKS. Memperhatikan kemampuan awal, peningkatan penguasaan konsep make a match lebih tinggi kemampuan tinggi dan rendah, LKS lebih tinggi kemampuan sedang.Kata kunci: lks, make a match, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

Kawah Putih Dolok Tinggi Raja is a target destination of tourist attraction in Simalungun. One of the benefits that can be gained is the development of natural forest areas for ecotourism. This study aims to (1) analyzing the potential attraction to Kawah Putih for the development of ecotourism. (2) to analyze the problems of nature tourism development strategy in the region SWOT attractions. This researched used Analysis SWOT. The result showed that the Attraction Nature Kawah Putih  has decent potential to be developed on the level 72,91%, and the feasibilty of the SWOT of analysis are quadran I, which means to have strength and opportunities can develop a tourist attraction. Abstract

Forest land use to agriculture recognized cause problems such as decreased soil fertility, erosion, extinction of flora and fauna, floods, droughts and even global environmental change. One land management system to tackle this problem is the model of agroforestry. Silvopastura management in the village of Aman Damai is still underdeveloped, and the lack of research related to land management system with silvopastura. Based on this, the study aims to identify the components of silvopastura, to know silvopastura practice contributes to the household income, and analyze factors that affect the income of silvopastura farmers in the Aman Damai of village. This research was done in May 2015. Sampling was done by purposive and methods used in the form of multiple linear regression analysis. The research showed that Component of silvopastura In Aman Damai village include component (wood plants) in the form of multipurpose tree species (MPTs) with the components of the farm (pasture). Multipurpose tree species that was developed is avocado, star fruit, durian, guava, citrus, cocoa, rubber, kuini, olive, mango, jackfruit, petai, Rambe, rambutan, and sapodilla. While the type of pasture being developed are chickens, goats, buffaloes, and cows. Silvopastura practices contribute to the household income of Rp. 397. 368. 000 (52.56%), greater than the contribution of farming to household income is Rp. 358.800.000 (47, 44%). The independent variables that significantly affect the dependent variable is a variable number of pasture and land ownership. Abstract

Green belt is one of the green open spaces are quite effective in absorbing carbon emissions and pollutant gases around the highway in the city.  Plants were grown in a green belt has the ability to absorb carbon emissions. Because it is necessary to do the calculation of the carbon stored in various green belt in the secondary arterial roads Medan city. The purpose of this research was to calculate the potential carbon is stored in various green belt in the secondary arterial roads Medan. Sampling lines and plant samples was conducted using purposive sampling and census methods. Calculation data using allometric models. The results showed that there are 8 types of plants on the green belt of research of the kind that most dominating is Palem Raja (Oreodoxa regia). The highest value of carbon stored by type of plant found in plant angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) with a total value of carbon stored in the 8 green belt, namely 525,337 Ton/Ha, or an average of 65,67 Ton/Ha. The highest value of carbon stored by the green belt of research there is on the path to Balai Kota street, district of Medan Barat with a value of 274,985 Ton/Ha. Abstract

The hybrid Eucalyptus urograndis IND 47 is a hybrid between Eucalyptus urophylla ST Blake and Eucalyptus grandis ex Maid W.Hill developed in operational scale in PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk (TPL). Therefore, a research had been  conducted on E. urograndis IND 47 in Estate A, sector of Aek Nauli, PT TPLTbk. The aim of this research was to predict biomass of E. urograndis IND 47. The results showed that the biomass of E.urograndis IND 47 in Estate A was 8,431.25 tons for total area of 367.38 ha compartment with an average biomass was 22.95 tons /ha with ages of 1-3.3 years. Biomass differences caused by differences in ages of trees, number of trees in each compartment and environmental factors.Keywords: biomass, Eucalyptus urograndis IND 47, PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk

Abstract

This study was conducted to identifify trees in university of north sumatera education forest, Tongkoh, Karo District, North Sumatera Province. This study was conducted in June 2014. The collecting of data used path method, and the sampling technique used purposive sampling with random start method. Plot size 100m x 20m of 10 plots categorized as large plot to observe trees with diameter > 30 cm at the and there was subplots with size 5m x 40m categorized as small plot to observe trees with diameter 5m to 30cm. Abstract

This research discusses the theological perception of the Muslim community, especially the perspective of the Jabariyyah and Qadariyyah schools, in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. As we all know, the development of Covid 19 that occurred in March 2020 had a major impact throughout the world. And Indonesia is one of the affected countries. As a country where the majority of the population is Muslim, the Muslim community has its own response in dealing with the Covid-19 virus; some groups consider this virus as a destiny that has been outlined by Allah SWT, while others think that this virus is spreading because of pure human negligence, whether intentional or not. In this regard, as a form of concern for the impact caused by Covid 19, several movements have emerged that aim to help survivors of Covid 19. This is done so that all parties can fight together through this pandemic period and learn from the handling of the outbreak since the time of the Prophet Muhammad. This research uses the method of searching Islamic literature, starting from analyzing and describing it.

Abstract

Deer are wild animals which have been developed in breeding place because their habitat is corrupted. One of the breeding places in developed is CPL (Cinta Pesona Ladangku) breeding place at Kuala Bekala, North Sumatera. The observed parameter was the correlation between bio-ecological aspect and and the population development of deer. The research used descriptive method. The result of the research showed that the minimum of air temperature in CPL breeding place was 220 C and the maximum of air temperature was 340 C. The population of deer in CPL breeding place has surpassed the capacity of the animal pen. Viewed from some bio-ecological aspects, Bawean deer could not multiply in number in CPL breeding place. The age-structure was an upside down pyramid where the number of fawns was fewer than that of deer. The deer breeding technique needs special attention in order to increase the number of deer population.Keywords : Deer, Breeding place, Bio-ecology, Population.
