Abstract

Mosaik adalah gejala penyakit yang sering ditemukan pada tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annuum) dan umumnya disebabkan oleh infeksi virus seperti Tobacco mosaic virus. Infeksi yang berat bahkan dapat mengakibatkan tanaman menjadi kerdil dan mengalami kehilangan hasil yang nyata. Metode serologi dan molekuler sudah banyak digunakan untuk mendeteksi virus tetapi pengerjaannya cukup menyita waktu, relatif kurang efisien untuk sampel yang banyak, dan bersifat destruktif pada tanaman. Di sisi lain, pengamatan gejala secara langsung terkendala oleh kemampuan visual manusia dan gejala laten pada tahap awal infeksi. Oleh karena itu, metode deteksi berdasarkan kemampuan tanaman menyerap dan merefleksikan berbagai spektrum cahaya matahari, seperti normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi single image-NDVI sebagai varian NDVI untuk pengembangan deteksi dini gejala mosaik pada cabai merah. Tahapan utama penelitian ialah perekaman citra tanaman cabai merah yang tidak diinokulasi virus (V0), diinokulasi (V1), dan minim hara (M) menggunakan kamera RGB tanpa modifikasi dan filter lensa untuk menangkap reflektansi cahaya biru dan Near-Infrared. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan citra menggunakan plugin Photo Monitoring pada aplikasi Fiji-ImageJ. Perekaman dilakukan mulai 1 hari setelah inokulasi (HSI) sampai gejala terlihat kasat mata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi tendensi peningkatan nilai NDVI terintegrasi pada semua perlakuan. Namun, tendensi peningkatan pada V1 tidak nyata dibandingkan dengan V0 dan M. Selisih rata-rata nilai NDVI terintegrasi antara V1 terlihat sangat nyata dibandingkan dengan V0 (pada 5 HSI) dan M (pada 1 HSI). Tingkat sensitivitas, spesifisitas, dan akurasi metode ini berkisar antara 80–90 % pada 5 HSI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Tenaga Kerja, Jumlah Perusahaan dan Biaya Input Terhadap Produk Domestik Regional (PDRB) Sub Sektor Industri Besar dan Sedang Di Sumatera Utara periode 2001-2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 Sub Sektor Industri Besar Dan Sedang di Sumatera Utara dengan sepuluh tahun periode pengamatan maka didapatlah analisis berjumlah 45 analisis yang dipilih dengan kriteria tertentu menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi diperoleh persamaan Y = 1553,751 – 0,049 Tenaga Kerja – 24,055 Jumlah Perusahaan + 1,375 Biaya Input + e dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t secara parsial, uji f secara simultan dengan level of significance 5% dan uji koefesien determinasi (R2). Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan data secara parsial bahwa nilai signifikansi Tenaga Kerja sebesar 0,640 > 0,05 dan nilai thitung(-0,471) > ttabel(-2,019). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel Tenaga Kerja berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap PDRB, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1diterima dan H0ditolak. Nilai signifikansi Jumlah Perusahaan sebesar 0,002 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung (-3.283) < ttabel (-2,019). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variable Jumlah Perusahaan tidak berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap PDRB, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak dan nilai signifikansi Biaya Input sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung(18,239) > ttabel (2,019). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel Biaya Input berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PDRB, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1diterima dan H0ditolak. Secara simultan bahwa H1 diterima dan H0ditolak, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa PDRB yang diungkapkan dipengaruhi secara simultan oleh Tenaga Kerja, Jumlah Perusahaan dan Biaya Input, dengan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (329,285 > 2,83) dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Angka Adjusted R square atau koefisien determinasi adalah 0,957. Hal ini berarti 95,7% variasi atau perubahan dalam PDRB dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi dari Tenaga Kerja, Jumlah Perusahaan, dan Biaya Input, sedangkan sisanya (4,3%) dijelaskan oleh sebab-sebab lain.

Abstract

Abstract                The porpuse of research was to knew influence and the heat of combustion  palm oil  briquette with added additive substance. The work principle of research included foreword working was preparations raw material (Oil palm eggshell) and additive substance (rice husk, bagasse, shell of coconut).Raw materials of  palm oil was  burning in the vurnace at temperature 400 0C for four o’clock and refined at the measure of 1 mm and so also above additive substance was refined at the measure of 1.6 mm, 1 mm, and 0.71 mm but non burning. Oil palm eggshell powder and additive substance was blended then added amylum as much as 30 % from Oil palm eggshell  weight. The compound was taken into press hydrolik to formed and then drying at temperature 120 0C for 90 minute.  The briquet that produced was characterized with heat of combustion, water-content, and ash-content-ash. The result of research was palm oil briquette with added rice husk produced heat of combustion of 7.322.49 kal/gr, content-water 15.14 %, content ash 7.0 %, the bagasse heat of combustion of 10.837.29 kal/gr, content-water 15.26 %, content-ash 18.75 %, and the shell of coconut heat of combustion of 9.079.89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8,09 %. The optimum product of this research was palm oil briquette with added the shell of coconut for 15 gr with measure of 1 mm got heat of combustion of 9.079,89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8.00 %.Keyword: briquette, Oil palm eggshell, additive substance

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the growth and production of sweet corn on the provision of cow manure and ABG fertilizer. The design used was Randomized Design Group factorial with two factors were studied, namely: Cow Manure factor (K) is divided into 4 level without giving Ko =, K1 = 2 kg / plot, K2 = 4 kg / plot, and K3 = 6 kg / plot, and the factor ABG fertilizer (A) divided into 4 standard, namely A0 = no treatment (control), A1 = 2 cc / l of water, A2 = 4 cc / l of water, and A3 = 6 cc / l of water. Cow manure as the first factor and ABG fertilizer as second factor, while the parameters measured were plant height (cm), age of flowering (days), cob length (cm), cob weight (kg), dry seed weight (g), number of leaves (pieces) and leaf area (cm2). The results showed that administration of cow manure (K) gives a marked influence on all parameters except number of leaves observed. ABG fertilizer (A) gives significant effect on leaf area, cob length and cob weight and height parameters are not significant at the plant, leaf number and age of flowering. While the interaction treatment gives a significant influence on the length parameter cob and leaf area, and no real effect on plant height, leaf number, flowering age, weight and cob weight of dry beans.Keywords: cow manure, fertilizer, growth, production, Zea mays saccharata Sturt

Abstract

Virus mosaik kedelai (SMV) adalah salah satu patogen paling penting dalam tanaman kedelai yang aktivitasnya bahkan dapat menyebabkan kerugian tanaman hingga 100%, sehingga menghambat upaya pemerintah untuk mewujudkan swasembada kedelai. Terkait hal ini, sekitar awal tahun 2015, gejala mosaik telah ditemukan pada kedelai yang dibudidayakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Halu Oleo, Sulawesi Tenggara dan berdasarkan hasil deteksi serologi membuktikan bahwa daun kedelai gejala mosaik positif terinfeksi oleh virus mosaik seperti SMV. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan apakah benih kedelai yang ditemukan di kalangan petani dan digunakan sebagai bibit juga telah terinfeksi oleh SMV. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi keberadaan SMV pada benih kedelai petani menggunakan metode uji serodiagnosis dengan teknik ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMV positif menginfeksi biji kedelai varietas Dena dan Dega dari Desa Belatu, Kecamatan Pondidaha. Terdeteksi pada getah daun kedelai yang telah diunggulkan sedangkan getah biji kering tidak terdeteksi

Abstract

This study aimed to determine differences in the morphological characteristics of isolates of Trichoderma spp indigenous of Southeast Sulawesi. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Agro Technology, Unit of Plant Pest and Disease, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Halu Oleo, Kendari.  This study used 11 isolates of trichoderm indegenous of Southeast Sulawesi. Observation variables were macroscopic characteristics, including: colony color and form, and microscopic characteristics, including: form of conidiophores, fialid and and conidia.  The research results showed that the 11 isolates of Trichoderma spp indigenous of Southeast Sulawesi had different morphological characteristics. Types of  Trichoderma spp obtained out of the 11 isolates were T. hamantum, T. koningii, T. harzianum, T. polysporum and T. aureoviride. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectivity of Trichoderm isolates indigenous of Southeast Sulawesi as biofungicide to Colletotrichum sp  in- vitro. This research was carried out in the Laboratory of Agrotechnology, Plant Pathology unit, Faculty of Agriculture, Halu Oleo University.  Inhibition effectivity of 11  Trichoderma  spp.  isolates was done in double PDA media.  This research used  the complete randomized design (CRD).  The observed variables were the inhibitory of  Trichoderma  spp.  indigenous on the growth of Colletotrichum sp. Research result showed that the 11 isolates were effective as biofungicide against Colletotrichum sp.  The data analysis showed that isolates DPA was the best isolate, inhibiting  Colletotrichum  sp. by 77.69%, otherwise LKP was isolate with the lowest inhibitory ability against  Colletotrichum  sp, by 65.07%.  Inhibition mechanism of isolates DPA and DKT against Colletotrichum sp was by area competition and parasitism.Key words:  Antagonist, Colletotrichum sp., Trichoderma Indigenous.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the host alternate of Potyvirus in Southeast Sulawesi using a host range technique. Observed variables were incubation period, disease incidence, and variation symptom. The research results showed that virus isolates could be mechanically transmitted to melon plant (Cucumismelo) but showing no external symptoms while on tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), long-beans (Vigna sinensis), tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum and Nicotiana benthamiana), swamp-land (Ipomoea reptana), red-amaranth (Alternantheraamoena), chili (Capsicum annum), and egg plant (Solanum melongena) so far the existence of the Potyvirus could not be detected after mechanically inoculated.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of clove oil to control pathogens associated with tomato plants in screen houses. The study was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments repeated 3 times and each treatment consisted of 3 plants for a total of 45 plants, the treatments given were P0 (without application), P1 (pathogenic fungus Sclerotium sp. without clove oil application). , P2 (pathogenic fungus Sclerotium sp. with clove oil application), P3 (pathogenic fungus Helminthosporium sp. without clove oil application), P4 (pathogenic fungus Helminthosporium sp. clove oil application). The variables observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of branches and disease severity of tomato plants. The results showed that clove oil was able to increase plant growth as indicated by the highest average height and diameter of 18.61cm and 0.31cm, respectively. Clove oil application also suppressed the development of the pathogen Sclerotium sp. As indicated by the average incubation period and disease severity 18.67 days and 6%, respectively.

Abstract

Mosaic symptoms were observed on Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) around North Kolaka and Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi during surveys in early 2012. Indirect-ELISA based detection was conducted using symptomatic leaf samples. The objective of the research was to determine disease incidence of Potyvirus in several farms of Patchouli plant in Southeast Sulawesi. The results showed that Patchouli plant (Pogostemon cablin) was found to be infected with Potyvirus disease showing mosaic symptoms and malformation on the leaf samples i.e. in Amotowo and Boro-Boro Villages of subdistrict Boro-Boro, and Landabaro Village, Mowila subdistrict of South Konawe regency; Asinua Village of subdistrict Unaaha, Lambuya district of subdistrict Lambuya, and Bungguosu district, Konawe subdistrict of Konawe regency; and Anduonohu district, Poasia subdistrict of Kendari regency.
