Abstract

States of America. Indonesia is the country's largest shrimp exporter to theUnited States. The dispute began on charges filed by the Coalition of Gulf ShrimpIndustries (COGSI) to the Indonesian government because they feel there has beenan unfair trade related influx of U.S. shrimp imports cheaper than U.S domesticshrimp. The Indonesian government has been accused of giving subsidies toexporters to suppress the price of shrimp is marketed to the U.S. Disputes that havehappened to be disrupted for trade between the two countries, especially shrimpexports to the United States.This study used a theory of justice by Adam Smith. This theory is intended toprotect from the loss ("the end of justice is to secure from injure") caused by unfairtrade in international trade. In addition, the U.S. and Indonesia feel there has beenan unfair trade, so that the application of fair trade should be applied in order toavoid trade disputes. Abstract

This research describes the Government Policies In Empowerment Bhutan TourismSector to Enter SAFTA (South Asian Free Trade Area) 2002-2007. Bhutan's tourism industrybegan in 1974 It was introduced with the main objective to increase revenue, especiallyforeign exchange and publish unique culture and traditions of the country to the outsideworld, and contribute to socio-economic development of the country. In the tourism sector,tourism policy of Bhutan also developed in accordance with the principle of "high value lowimpact".Bhutan tourism development experience a variety of problems, challenges andobstacles that national and global scale. There should also be a change of paradigm inlooking at tourism in the context of national development.The research method used is a descriptive of qualitative research method about thefacts. This research is an explanatory that describe about problem, indication, policies, andactions. In writing techniques, the author’s collect and collate data through library researchfrom several sources like books, journals, articles, websites, the media and others. Theauthor’s also use decision making theory and the theory of comparative advantage.This research shows Bhutan's development philosophy is based on GNH has becomethe principle for socio-economic development of Bhutan. The concept of GNH defines Bhutandevelopment goals as improvement in the happiness and satisfaction of the people better thanthe growth of Gross National Product (GNP). Abstract

Nicaragua has two major problem on its electricity sector. Nicaragua is the country with lowest electricity coverage rate in the region and high dependence on using fossil as source of electrical energy. In the other side Nicaragua did not have enough development fund because of the accumulation of political conflict in the country. This research will describe about the influence of the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IADB) assistance that applied in a program called Programa Nacional de Electrificación Sostenible y Energia Renovable (PNESER) for the development of the electricity sector in Nicaragua.As for the methode used in the study is qualitative research. The data obtained from literature in the form of books, documents, journals, newspapers, internet and other media that related to the issues. To analyze the case, this research will be based on the perspective of Structuralism and Dependency theory.This research show that IADB’s assistance can bring several positive effect for Nicaragua’s electricity sector. Within a few years, the sector modernized and improve the electricity coverage in the country. The Assistance that also earmarked for the development of renewable energy sources has also significantly increase the production of renewable energy sources in the country. Abstract

China is one of the countries with rapid economic growth, economic growth continues to increase significantly in 2009 Since this country became a net importer of energy in the form of significant oil, nearly 60% of the domestic industry is an industry-energy-intensive manufacturing. China does not have sufficient natural resources to support the development and economic growth. To secure its energy supply needs in imports from the Middle East region, China using String Of Pearls strategy. This study investigates the ways in String Of Pearls strategy is implemented by China.This research is descriptive research that is based on the systematic patterns of thought, factual, and accurate, information on the facts and the properties of a particular population or area. While the data collection techniques used are library research.The research found that '' String Of Pearls strategy’' run by China in the Indian Ocean are implemented with the cooperation in the field of infrastructure development such as ports, airports, and subsea pipeline with countries in the path of China's energy transportation.Keywords : China, Implementation, Strategies, String Of Pearls

Abstract

This study identifies Indonesian military modernization strategy inbalancing military power with countries in Southeast Asia 2008-2014. The needfor the Indonesian military modernization is inseparable from some reason. Thechange due to the threat of global development, the increase in the defense budgetin the countries of Southeast Asia which borders with Indonesia, the need to addand rejuvenation Indonesian defense equipment which can be categorized notfeasible. Abstract

This study analyzed more about the policy change the indirect export to direct export by the Indonesian State to State China against bird's nest trade. Cultivation is a bird's nest industry special and very important to some communities in Indonesia. Bird's nest made of saliva bird that is considered beneficial to health. The bird's nest is usually used to make soup and most of the nests that produced in Indonesia is exported to China, especially Hong Kong.Indonesia has entered into a collaboration Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the Chinese government and followed up with a policy issued on Export Controls Swallow's Nest to the PRC. This study uses the theory of international trade as a theory relevant to the study. Based on the theory of international trade, the main motivation for doing international trade is getting gains from trade. Abstract

This study will analyze the influence of feminism in Iceland’s foreign policy year 2008-2013. Feminism have influenced social and political life in Iceland, especially in gender equality. Gender equality is one of the Iceland’s government’s key emphases and it’s an important aspect of Iceland’s international work on human rights.This research will show that how external aspects can also affect in Iceland’s foreign policy. Especially in increase gender equality and women’s empowerment. There is five aspects that Iceland’s concerns are, like politic, economy, education, health, and security. These are including support some specific projects, funds and organisations. Feminism perspective, gender concept and foreign policy decision making theory are used to discuss this research.As for the method used in the study is qualitative research methods with explanation analysis methods. Data collection techniques are used library research techniques which utilizes secondary data obtaine d through library were abstracted from the literature such as books, journals, reports, documents and other materials that support this research.Feminism has give significant influence in Iceland’s foreign policy. Iceland has adopted The United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on women, peace and security through their Plan of Action and also Iceland has built Strategy for Iceland’s Development Cooperation 2011-2014 acording to United Nations Millenium Development Goals (MDG). Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand why Russia granted political asylum to ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on February 2014. In fact, from the perspective of international law on political asylum, Viktor Yanukovych shouldn’t be able to get asylum everywhere because he is an international political criminals and fugitives on chages of mass murder during the crisis that occured in Ukraine after he rejected cooperation agreement with Europe Union (EU). Viktor Yanukovych was supposed to guaranteed the punishment that has been alleged.This research has built by using neorealism perspective of international relations and supported by securitization theories and international law about legalitation theories. This research also using international system as the level of analyze which on Russia granted asylum to Viktor Yanukovych. Formulation of all argument, facts, and theoretical framework in this research is guided by qualitative explanation methods. Technique in this research is through by the study of library. Data which is gotten and collected through the jounals, books, research paper, news article, official publication, conference papers, and then from internet pages that has related in this case research.This research has formulated answer-hypothesis that reason Russia granted political asylum to Viktor Yanukovych because Viktor Yanukovych has a closenees with Russia and any gaps on international law governing political asylum.Keywords: Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine crisis, political asylum, Russian response

Abstract

This research aims to find about the implications of CSR are implemented by ExxonMobil towards in North Aceh. ExxonMobil has operations in North Aceh since 1968 and became Cooperation Contract between Pertamina and also LNG Japan. ExxonMobil is one of the multinational companies which in this case is not performing CSR as provided by law.This research used concepts on CSR, which is proposed by John Elkington is very relevant to the case discussed in this research. This research shows that ExxonMobil has long operated in North Aceh not contribute to enhancing the quality of life in North Aceh even cause imbalance, besides it also ExxonMobil has damaged the environment and also the residence of the people of Aceh. Abstract

The objectives of the study were to analyze the implication of horticultural import control policy for oranges producers and consumers in Indonesia, after PTA between Pakistan and Indonesia was signed in 2012. Under PTA, Indonesia offered market accessing to Pakistani kinnow at 0% tariff, which is expected to significantly enhance the export of this product. But in the same year, to protect the domestic horticulture farmers, the government of Indonesia had established an import control policy, released by the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA).This research used a qualitative research methods that the datas were taken from books, journals, newspapers, iinternet and the previous studies that had datas which relevant with the title. By using neo mercantilism perspective and protectionisme theory wiil explain the direction of object of analysis.The result of the study were the Indonesia horticultural import control policy has a positive effect to orange producers and consumers in Indonesia. For the orange’s producers, the implementations of horticultura import control policy made increasing orange production, farmer exchange rate, and local orange image.
