Abstract

Study related to characteristics of costumes worn in Children Creation Dance in kindergarten at Buleleng, Bali is aiming at (1) understanding the characteristics of children creation dance costume in kindergarten at Buleleng, Bali, (2) understanding the aesthetic characteristic of costume of children creation dance in kindergarten at Buleleng, Bali. The research employed qualitative method while the discussion part was presented in descriptive. Data was collected through observation, interview, literature, as well as documentation study. In a general view, characteristic of the costume was still in close proximity to the tradition but some others characteristics have quiet different to the tradition. Aesthetic aspect in dance costume that has adjacency to the tradition is shown in patterned costume, especially the use of kamen prada. The use of colour tends to be bright and cold which may show the atmosphere of happiness and assurance. On the other hand, the characteristics of costume is not traditional tends to emphasize dots and stripes. The impression of dots is shown in the use of sequin while the stripe impession is shown in fabric colour boundaries. In addition, the colours chosen for this type of costume are considerably similar to the colour chosen in traditional costume of creation dance which are bright and cold and give the impression of happiness and assurance.

Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian Eksistensi Perempuan Pelukis Tradisional Bali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses kreatif perempuan pelukis tradisional Bali. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelima perempuan pelukis tradisional bali. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik 1. Observasi, 2. Wawancara, 3. Dokumentasi, 4. Kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ide awal atau inspirasi perempuan pelukis tradisional bali dalam membuat karya berasal dari dalam dirinya dan juga berasal dari orang lain. Tema pada karya perempuan pelukis tradisional Bali yaitu: permaslahan gender, kehidupan sehari-hari, dan cerita pewayangan. Kelima perempuan pelukis tradisional Bali memanfaatkan waktu luang untuk berkarya. Kata Kunci : proses kreatif, perempuan, pelukis, tradisional Bali This article is part of a research into the existence of traditional Balinese painter women. This research aims to describe the creative process of Balinese traditional painter women. The subjects in this study were the five Balinese traditional painter women. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection in this study uses techniques 1. Observation, 2. Interview, 3. Documentation, 4. Literature. The results of this study indicate that the initial idea or inspiration of Balinese traditional painter women in making works originated from within themselves and also from other people. Themes on the work of traditional Balinese painter women are: gender issues, daily life, and wayang stories. Abstract

Kerajinan sudah sejak lama berkembang di Bali, dengan beragam bentuk dan bahan yang digunakan. Salah satu industri kerajinan yang berkembang adalah kerajinan kaca “Putera Bali Glass” beralamat di Br Maspahit, Desa Keramas, Gianyar. Proses pembuatannya menggunakan teknik tiup dan teknik cetak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keberadaan, proses pembuatan jenis-jenis produk kerajinan kaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan “Putera Bali Glass”, Desa Keramas, Gianyar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis domain dan taksonomi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa keberadaan kerajinan kaca “Putera Bali Glass”, dimulai sejak tahun 2002 yang diawali oleh Bapak Ida Bagus Suarjana. Alat yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kerajinan kaca antara lain: tungku pelebur, oven pendingin, sedangkan bahan yang digunakan antara lain: kaca dan pewarna. Proses pembuatan kerajinan kaca menggunakan teknik tiup dan teknik cetak. Proses tektik tiup meliputi: pembersihan kaca, peleburan, pengambilan kaca yang sudah dilebur, pewarnaan, peniupan dan pembentukan global, pembentukan ditail, pendinginan, dan finising. Sedangkan proses teknik cetak meliputi: pemotongan kaca, menaruh kaca diatas cetakan, peleburan, pengangkatan kaca dari cetakan, finising. Jenis produk kerajinan kaca yang dibuat dengan teknik tiup antara lain: bola lampu, botol wine, vas bunga, teko (juge), gelas ice cream, aquarium. Sedangkan jenis produk kerajinan kaca yang dibuat dengan teknik cetak antara lain: piring Frangipani, piring daun, mangkok tangga, tempat sabun.Kata Kunci : Kerajinan, kaca, proses Craft has long been grown in Bali , with a variety of shapes and materials used . The manufacturing process uses inflatable technology and printing techniques . This study aimed to describe the existence , the process of making these kinds of glass craft products . This research is a descriptive qualitative approach . The subjects were firm " Putera Bali Glass " , Keramas village , Gianyar . Data was collected through observation, interviews , and documentation . Data were analyzed using domain analysis and taxonomy . This study shows that the presence of glass craft " Putera Bali Glass " , began in 2002, initiated by Mr. Ida Bagus Suarjana . The tools used in the manufacture of glass crafts include: blast furnace , oven cooling , while the materials used are: glass and dyes . The process of making crafts using glass blowing techniques and printing techniques . Inflatable tektik process include : cleaning glass , foundries , glass -making that has been melted , coloring , blowing and global formation , the formation performance in detail , cooling , and finishing . While the process of printing techniques include : cutting glass , put the glass on the mold , melting , glass removal from the mold , finishing . Types of glass craft products made with inflatable techniques include: light bulbs , wine bottles , vases , teapots ( juge ) , ice cream cup , aquarium . Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, (1) Mengetahui riwayat berkesenian Mbah Yatno, (2) Mengetahui alat dan bahan apa saja yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan patung dan kriya oleh Mbah Yatno, (3) Mengetahui proses pembuatan patung dan kriya oleh Mbah Yatno, dan (4) Mengetahui bentuk patung dan kriya yang dihasilkan oleh Mbah Yatno.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan pendekatan penelitian bidang seni, Subjek penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah Mbah Yatno yang difokuskan pada riwayat berkesenian, dan proses penciptaannya. Dalam pengumpulan data, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik yakni, (1) Teknik observasi, (2) Teknik wawancara, (3) Teknik pendokumentasian, dan (4) Teknik kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Riwayat berkesenian Mbah Yatno, (2) Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan patung dan kriya oleh Mbah Yatno merupakan barang-barang yang mudah ditemui disekitar rumah Mbah Yatno, alat-alat tersebut ialah: Panci, ember, paku, palu, ampelas, gergaji, kawat, kompor, kertas, batu bata, tepung tapioca atau tepung kanji, air, tarose, meni atau cat dasar, cat minyak, thinner B. (3) Proses pembuatan patung dan kriya oleh Mbah Yatno. (4) Jenis-Jenis karya rupa yang dihasilkan oleh Mbah Yatno, yaitu patung dan kriya.Kata Kunci : proses kreatif, patung, kriya, kertas, batu bata. This study aims to: (1) Knowing the art history of Mbah Yatno, (2) Knowing kind of tools and materials used in the process of making sculpture and crafts by Mbah Yatno, (3) Knowing the process of making sculpture and crafts by Mbah Yatno, and (4) Knowing the form of sculpture and crafts produced by Mbah Yatno. This study is a descriptive study which used research approaches in art, the subject was researcher himself. While the object of this study was Mbah Yatno focused on his art history, and the process of creation. In collecting the data, the study was conducted with several techniques such as, (1) observation technique, (2) Interview technique, (3) Documentation technique, and (4) Literature technique. The results of this study showed (1) The art history of Mbah Yatno, (2) Tools and materials used in making sculpture and crafts by Mbah Yatno are easily found around Mbah Yatnos’ house, those tools are: pan, bucket, nails, hammer, sandpaper, saw, wire, stove, paper, brick, tapioca flour or starch, water, tarose, meni or base paint, oil paint, thinner B. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) keberadaan kerajinan seni ukir kayu, (2) Alat dan bahan pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu, (3) Proses pebuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu, (4) Hasil dan bentuk kerajinan seni ukir kayu Desa Labu api, kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kerajinan seni ukir kayu Desa Labuapi, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Sejarah keberadaan kerajinan seni ukir kayu desa Labuapi diwariskan secara turun-temurun dari generasi kegenerasi berikutnya. (2) Alat-alat yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu yaitu (a) alat dan bahan seperti pahat, geregaji kayu, pengikis (pengkerot), pisau (ladik), parang (batek), amplas, palu (pengetok), kuas, kompresor dan spet suntikan. Sedangkan (b) bahan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu terdiri kayu mahoni, cat impra, cat kayu (cat aga) dan thinner. (3) Proses pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu terdiri dari beberapa proses yakni proses penjemuran kayu, proses pembentukan global, proses pembuatan pola, proses pemahatan pola, proses pengamplasan, proses pewarnaan, proses membatik (pengukiran) dan proses pengkilapan (finising). (4) Bentuk kerajinan seni ukir kayu yang dibuat di Desa Labuapi, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat di bagi dua yakni fungsional dan non funsional. (a) bentuk fungsional terdiri dari asbak, mangkok, tempat perhiasan, kotak tisu, wadah permainan (bangkak), lemari, meja belajar, sendok besar (penyedok), wadah gelas (sapah), rak al-qur’an (rehan) dan oval. Sedangkan (b) bentuk yang non fungsional yaitu patung tokek, topeng, patung orang duduk, patung orang berkelahi, patung nine (patung perempuan), dan patung mame (patungLaki-laki).Kata Kunci : Kerajinan, seni ukir kayu, Labuapi. This study aims to determine (1) The existence of woodcarving craft, (2) The equipments and materials for woodcarving craft, (3) The making process of woodcarving craft, (4) The results and forms of woodcarving craft in Labuapi village , Labuapi sub-district, West Lombok regency, of Nusa Tenggara Barat. The type of study it used is a descriptive qualitative study. The subjects were woodcarving craft in Labuapi Village, Labuapi sub-district of West Lombok regency. The methods of data collection is done by using the method of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature. The results showed that (1) Historical existence of woodcarving craft in Labuapi village was inherited hereditary to the next generation. (2) The tools used in the process of making the woodcarving craft, namely (a) the equipment and materials such as chisels, saw, wood scraper, knives, cleaver, sandpaper, hammer, paintbrushes, compressors and spit injections. While (b) the materials used in the manufacture of woodcarving craft consists of mahogany, Impra paint, wood paint, and thinner. (3) The process of making woodcarving craft consists of several processes such the wood drying process, the process of global establishing, pattern-making process, the process of carving patterns, the process of sanding, staining process, the process of carving and glazing process (finishing). (4) The form of woodcarving craft which made in the village of Labuapi, Labuapi sub-district, West Lombok regency of West Nusa Tenggara is divide into two forms namely functional and non functional form. (A) The functional form consists of ashtrays, bowls, jewelry, tissue boxes, place for congklak games, cupboard, desks, a large spoon, a place for glassess, rack for qur’an and oval. Abstract

Arsitektur lumbung padi Desa Sinabun dibuat sesuai dengan fungsi awal sebagai tempat menyimpan panen padi. Arsitektur lumbung padi di Desa Sinabun dibuat menggunakan ukuran-ukuran tradisional Bali. Tetapi sejak bulan Juni tahun 2016, lumbung padi di Desa Sinabun sudah tidak difungsikan sebagai tempat menyimpan hasil panen, tetapi sudah beralih fungsi menjadi tempat hunian. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk. (1) mengetahui kapan lumbung padi di Desa Sinabun berubah fungsinya dan (2) mengetahui bagian–bagian yang diubah pada arsitektur lumbung padi tradisional di Desa Sinabun. Ditinjau dari tujuan, penelitian ini menggunakan Metode deskriptif kualitatif serta unsur instrumen yang diguanakan berupa alat yaitu kamera hp, ceck list, tape recorder dan buku. Dari hasil penelitian langsung di lapangan ada tiga bagian lumbung padi yang mengalami perubahan, yaitu (1) Bagian kepala rangka atap (super struktur). (2) Bagian badan (upper struktur). (3) Bagian kaki (sub struktur). Kata Kunci : Arsitektur, Lumbung Padi, Desa Sinabun The architecture of the village granary of Sinabun was made in accordance with the initial function as a place to store the rice harvest. The architecture of the rice barn in the village of Sinabun was made by using traditional Balinese sizes. But since June 2016, the rice barn in the village of Sinabun had not been used as a place to store crops, but it was already switched function to a shelter. So, this study was aimed at (1) knowing when the rice barn in Sinabun Village changed its function and (2) knowing the revised parts of the traditional rice barn architecture in Sinabun Village. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method and instruments used in the form of the tool were camera, Checklist and tape recorder. Abstract

Tampilan kemasan dalam suatu produk merupakan hal utama yang menjadi daya tarik pembeli. Majalah Bobo merupakan majalah anak yang cukup terkenal di indonesia dari pertama kemunculannya pada tanggal 14 April 1973, sampai sekarang di tahun 2013 masih tetap hadir dengan cerita, informasi, dan tampilan kemasan sampul yang menarik. Sehingga majalah Bobo tergolong majalah yang paling digemari dan penjualannya paling tertinggi di golongan majalah anak - anak dipasaran, terutama di daerah Singaraja. Dalam tampilan sampul majalah Bobo mengungkap banyak hal seperti, penemuan – penemuan, kerajinan, pendidikan, flora, fauna, mengenai artis, yang pada umumnya berbeda dari majalah anak – anak lainnya. Artikel ini mengulas Kajian semiotik desain sampul majalah Bobo priode Februari – April 2013, dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat bersifat intepretatif (menggunakan penafsiran), bermaksud menjelaskan gambaran semiotik yang ada pada tampilan desain sampul majalah Bobo priode Februari – April 2013.Kata Kunci : Desain sampul majalah Bobo, kajian semiotik Cover of a product is the most important thing which is attract the buyers. ‘Majalah Bobo’ is kid’s magazine which is enough popular in Indonesia. From the first publich in April 14,1973 till now 2013 it is consistence with story, information and interesting cover. Se ’Majalah Bobo’ is the the best seller for kid’s magazine at market, especially in Singaraja. The cover of ‘Majalah Bobo’ showes many things like, invention, art, education, flora and fauna, artists which is different from other kid’s magazine in general. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui keberadaan usaha kerajianan sandal berbahan dasar daun lontar di Perusahaan Adi Karya Desa Bona, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar. (2) Untuk mengetahui alat dan bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat kerajianan sandal berbahan dasar daun lontar di Perusahaan Adi Karya Desa Bona, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar. (3) Untuk mengetahui proses pembuatan kerajianan sandal berbahan dasar daun lontar di Perusahaan Adi Karya Desa Bona, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar. (4) Untuk mengetahui nilai estetis pada kerajianan sandal berbahan dasar daun lontar di Perusahaan Adi Karya Desa Bona, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif. Subyeknya adalah perusahaan dan obyeknya adalah kerajinan sandal. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasian dan kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perusahaan berada di Desa Bona, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar dan berdiri tanggal 10 mei 1996. (2) Bahan dan alat yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan kerajinan sandal meliputi: daun lontar, spon karet, kertas karton, benang jahit, kain furing, lem latex, lem fox kuning, pewarna, dan soda api. Sedangkan alat meliputi gunting, cutter, pisau, spidol atau pulpen, mesin jahit, kompresor, penyisit, mal, manekin alas kaki, palu dan pahat ukir,drim dan tungku api. (3) Proses pembuatan kerajinan sandal ada dua tahap yaitu proses persiapan bahan dan alat serta proses perakitan sandal. (3) Nilai estetik yang terdapat pada kerajinan sandal ini adalah bentuk dan desain anyaman dari sandal,seperti motif sig-sag burik, bedeg, kotak-kotak dan kombinasi sehingga membuat kerajinan ini semakin diminati di pasaran. Kata Kunci : Kata kunci: kerajinan, sandal, daun lontar. This study aimed (1) to know the existance of sandals craft made from palm leaves in Bona Village Adi Karya Company, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. (2) to know tools and materials used to make sandals craft from palm leaves in Bona Village Adi Karya Company, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. (3) to know the process of making sandals craft from palm leaves in Bona Village Adi Karya Company, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. (4) to know the estetic value of sandals craft made from palm leaves in Bona Village Adi Karya Company, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. This study was descriptive qualitative study. Subject of the study was destricted on the company and the object was limited to the sandals craft. Method of data collection used were observation technique, interview, documentation, and source review. The result of the study showed (1) the company located in Bona Village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar and founded on May, 10th 1996. (2) tools and materials used were palm leaves, sponge rubber, cardboard, yarn sewing, fabric Furing, latex glue, glue yellow fox, dyes, and soda ash. Meanwhile the tools used were scissors, cutter, knife, marker or pen, sewing machines, compressors, penyisit, mall, mannequin footwear, hammer and chisel carving, drim and furnaces. (3) there were two steps of making sandal craft, namely preparation step and production step. (4) estetic value of the sandals craft was the shape and design of the sandals, such as the zig-zag, beged, box, and combined motive that made the craft more interested in the market. keyword : Keyword: craft, sandals, palm leaves.

Abstract

Sukawati juga memeliki beberapa kerajinan yang khas, salah satunya industri kerajinan keramik. Industri ini berada di Desa Guwang, Sukawati-Gianyar, penerapan teknik casting di Agz Ceramics sangat mendominasi dalam pengerjaan pesanan karena dapat mengerjakan dalam jumlah yang banyak dengan waktu singkat dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: sejarah keberadaan, Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam pengerjaan teknik casting. Penerapan proses casting Produk apa saja yang dihasilkan dari penerapan teknik casting.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah rumah produksi dari Anak Agung Raka Manggis. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kepustakaan. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah:keberadaan Agz Ceramics yang diawali oleh Anak Agung Raka Manggis pada tahun 2001 dan sekarang telah memiliki pangsa pasarnya sendiri. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam penerapa teknik casting. Alat: cetakan, mixer,kapi, teko, tungku, mesin penyaring tanah, mesin pengolah tanah, saringan glasir, timbangan, rib,butsir, pipa pelubang, pisau pemotong, spons, alat penjepit, sendok, triplek, rak. Bahan: tanah liat, glasir, gips, gas, Proses penerapan teknik casting di Agz Ceramics yang meliputi antara lain: penyiapan cetakan, penuangan tanah casting ke cetakan, proses membuka cetakan, membuka cetakan dengan kapi,proses pengeringan, proses pendekorasian, proses penyeponan,proses pengeringan tahap kedua, proses pengglasiran, proses pembakaran. Jenis bentuk produk yang dihasilkan dari penerapan teknik casting meliputi: botol minuman bentuk rumah-rumahan, asbak bentuk kodok, tempat dupa kodok, bunga kamboja, oil burner, bentuk anglo, tempat lilin bentuk gajah, Gelas bentuk tangan.Kata Kunci : casting, keramik, alat dan bahan, bentuk produk Sukawati also own a couple of typical craft , one of which ceramics industry . The findings in this study are : the existence of Agz Ceramics initiated by Anak Agung Raka Mangosteen in 2001 and now has its own market share . Tools and materials used in penerapa casting technique . Tools : mold , mixer , pulley , teapots , furnace , machine filter soil , earth moving machinery , glaze sieve , scales , rib , butsir , pit, pipe , cutting knives , sponges , tongs , spoons , plywood , shelving . Materials : clay , glazes , plaster , gas , casting techniques in the application process Agz Ceramics including the following : preparation of the mold , pouring ground casting into molds , the process of opening the mold , the mold opens with kapi , the drying process , the decoration process , the process penyeponan , the second stage of the drying process , pengglasiran process , the combustion process . Type of product form resulting from the application of casting techniques include : beverage bottle shape houses , ashtray shape of a frog , the frog incense , frangipani , oil burner , shape brazier , elephant shape candle holder , glass shape of the hand.keyword : casting , ceramics , tools and materials , product forms
