Abstract

Students understanding about the curriculum concept (Education Unit Level Curriculum) or Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) is not optimal. Students tend to get information about the curriculum through text books or the Internet. Direct observation of the implementation of the curriculum into schools still rarely done. As prospective teachers, students should go directly to the field to conduct visitation how the school curriculum is developed and implemented by parties concerned with the intended curriculum. Application of the method recitation (assignment) in a study based on a Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning or Pembelajaran Aktif, Kreatif, Efektif, dan Menyenangkan (PAKEM) at Review of Curriculum and Content Analysis of Physics I aim to improve student understanding of curriculum concepts and develop devices use traditional methods of lecture with recitation (assignment) based on PAKEM. This research is a class act who performed in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning, implementation measures, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were students taking a course Review of Curriculum and Content Analysis of Physics I in Math and Science Teacher Education Internationally or Pendidikan Guru MIPA Bertarat Internasional (PGMIPABI) program. Data obtained through the understanding of the concept of student evaluation tests given at each end of the cycle, while the student activity data obtained through observation sheet. Indicators of success used in this study is that if 85% of students achieving greater understanding of curriculum concepts or equal to 75. In the first cycle the average value of 82 and students are all completed, while in the second cycle values are the average student is 85. Student activities that most often arises is: "Delivering the opinion / Communicating information to the class or lecturer" by 28% in cycles in cycles I and II by 32%. Thus, application of methods based PAKEM recitation in the lecture can improve student understanding of curriculum concepts.

Abstract

Kemelekan sains dan kemelekan inkuiri adalah dua hal penting yang harus dikuasai secara memadai oleh peserta didik dalam era globalisasi. Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kemelekan sains dan kemelekan inkuiri guru-guru mata pelajaran IPA SMP. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 25 orang guru IPA SMP yang sedang menempuh program S2 pada Program Studi Magister Pendidikan IPA di Universitas Mataram tahun akademik 2012/2013. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pola pretes-postes dan diberikan perlakuan berupa pelatihan berjenjang dengan total waktu 400 menit (4 kali tatap muka). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemelekan sains dan inkuiri guru-guru IPA SMP masih tergolong rendah. Dalam pola pelatihan berjenjang seperti ini guru hanya mampu meningkatkan kemelekan sains sebesar 1% dan kemelekan inkuiri sebesar 5%. Mengingat pentingnya peran kemelekan sains dan kemelekan inkuiri bagi peserta didik maka perlu dilakukan upaya sistematis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional para guru khususnya aspek kemelekan sains dan kemelekan inkuiri.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) dengan metode diskusi terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi tahun ajran 2014/2015. Desain penelitiannya adalah posttest only control group design dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Jumlah siswa pada kedua kelas sama yaitu 25 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes multiple choice dengan empat alternatif jawaban dengan mempertimbangkan validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda dan taraf kesukaran soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksprimen adalah 75.05 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 54.4, kedua kelas terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Data posttest dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dan diperoleh  sebesar 11.65 sedangkan  2.02 dengan taraf signifikan 5%, dari data tersebut diperoleh sehingga dan atau  maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar fisika siswa antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) dengan metode diskusi dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) dengan metode diskusi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi tahun ajaran 2014/2015.                Kata kunci: model pembelajaran STS, metode diskusi, hasil belajar fisika                            Abstract : This research is experimental study aimed to determine the effect of Science Technology and Society (STS) learning model by discussion methode on learning outcomes physics student 8th grade SMPN 1 Labuapi in the academic year 2014/2015. Design research is posttest only control group design with sampling using cluster sampling, in order to obtain students of grade VIII C as experimental class and students of grade VIII E as the control class. The research instrument used was a multiple choice test with four alternative answers considering the validity, reliability, power and level of difficulty different matter. The result showed that the average value was 75.05 posttest experimental class and control class is 54.4, the both class are distributed normally and homogeneous. Posttest data were analyzed using t-test and the two parties obtained of 11.65 while  2.02 with a significant level of 5%, as  so that  or  so Ha accepted and  is rejected, which means that there are differences in the results studied physics students between the use of learning model Science Technology and Society (STS) by discussion method and conventional learning model. Thus, it can be concluded that Science Technology and Society (STS) learning model with discussion method affects the learning outcomes of physics students 8th grade SMPN 1 Labuapi in the academic year 2014/2015.Keywords: learning model, discussion method, learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the implementation of learning device with scientific approach to improve student life skills. The research uses one group pre test–post test design. Subjects in this study were students of grade ten (class X). Implementation of learning device supports effectively in learning activities if the implementation of a lesson plan by teachers, student social skills and student academic skills at least in a good category. The results showed that the implementation of lesson plan by teachers to get the average value of 3.38 are in the very good category, gain value of the student social skill at average value of 3.03 is in the very good category, and gain of student academic skill at average value of 76 is in the good category. It concludes that the implementation of learning tools with scientific approach support effectively in learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh model Guided Inquiry Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA di SMAN 1 Pringgarata. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian yaitu pretest-postest control group design. Teknik cluster random sampling digunakan untuk menentukan sampel peneltian di mana, kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen (21 siswa) yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model Guided Inquiry Learning dan kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol (20 siswa) yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen tes berupa pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 item soal digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 30,10 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 33,20 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,57 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,60. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%, diperoleh hasil t-hitung sebesar (4,12) > t-tabel sebesar (2,02), sehingga H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Guided Inquiry Learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA di SMAN 1  Pringgarata.The Effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes at SMAN 1 PringgarataAbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Guided Inquiry Learning model on high school students? learning outcomes at SMAN 1 Pringgarata. The quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design was used on this study. The cluster random sampling technique was used to determine the research sample in which, Class X IPA 3 as an experimental class (21 students) were taught using the Guided Inquiry Learning model and Class X IPA 2 as a control class (20 students) that were learned using direct learning. The 30-item multiple choice test instrument was used to measure student learning outcomes given before and after learning. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class pretest was 30.10 and the control class was 33.20 while the post-test mean value of the experimental class was 80.57 and the control class was 75.60. The results of statistical tests using the t-test with a significance level of 5%, the results obtained t-test of (4.12)> t-table of (2.02), so that H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry Learning model effect on high school students? learning outcomes at SMAN 1 Pringgarata.

Abstract

Quality and ongoing antenatal care is considered effective in reducing complications during pregnancy. It's important to maintain a healthy pregnancy, improve pregnancy outcomes by identifying complications, promoting healthy behavior and giving clients the opportunity to be actively involved with health care providers. This study aims to determine differences in knowledge of pregnant women about handling risk factors for pregnancy before and after the Android-based Smart Continuity of Care (MONSCA) application and before and after conventional methods (the MCH handbook) are given. The research was carried out in the Tanete Health Center and the Bontobangun Health Center in Bulukumba Regency. The method used is an experimental quasi-experimental type of research (pretest-posttes only control design). In this study, a sample of 18 pregnant women was divided into two groups (9 intervention groups and 9 control groups). The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by different test by looking at normality and Wilcoxon test to see differences in knowledge. The results showed there were differences in the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the handling of pregnancy risk factors before and after the MCH handbook was given with a value of p = 0.024 (p <0.05), it appeared that pregnant women had increased knowledge but there were also pregnant women whose knowledge remained. And there is a difference in the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the handling of pregnancy risk factors before and after the MONSCA application is given with a value of p = 0.007 (p <0.05), it appears that all pregnant women have increased knowledge after being given the MONSCA application. The conclusion of increasing knowledge of pregnant women before and after the Android-based Smart Continuity of Care (MONSCA) application is better than the MCH book. It is hoped that this research can be developed in web-based childbirth childbirth care.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of reflective practices in inquiry learning to train pre-service teachers' critical thinking skills viewed from cognitive styles. The quasi-experimental design was conducted with two sample groups given the same treatment at the pretest, reflective-inquiry practice learning, and posttest. Before the pretest, each sample was given GEFT (Group Embedded Figures Test) to determine the sample of the FI (field-independent) or FD (field dependent) cognitive style. Two sample groups were pre-service physics teachers (PPT) at two different universities in Mataram, Indonesia. The measurement of critical thinking employed essay tests. Critical thinking skills data were analyzed descriptively (mean difference scores of pretest-posttest and N-gain analysis) and statistically (independent sample t-test) employing SPSS software. The effectiveness of reflective inquiry learning is measured by increasing critical thinking scores where the minimum posttest has the "critical" criteria. The study results indicated that the tendency of cognitive style FI was more dominant than FD. The critical thinking measurement showed that each FD/FI group was categorized as "critical," and the increase of critical thinking scores in the two groups was categorized as a "moderate" category. In line with this, statistical analysis (hypothesis testing at a significance level of 0.05) showed no difference in the increase of critical thinking scores between PPT belonging to FD and FI. This study showed that the reflective practice in inquiry learning effectively improved the pre-service teachers' critical thinking skills with the FD and FI cognitive styles. Reflective practices are a new way of inquiry learning to train critical thinking and can be used as a reference for its structured implementation in regular lectures.

Abstract

Di era pandemi Covid-19, guru dituntut untuk mencari suatu inovasi dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran. Disamping itu tuntutan pembelajaran sekarang ini guru perlu menerapkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa yang dapat mengembangkan kecakapan Abad 21. Kemampuan seperti berpikir kritis, memecahkan masalah, kolaborasi dan kecakapan berkomunikasi diharapkan untuk selalu diasah walaupun dalam kondisi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan agar siswa memiliki kecakapan itu apabila guru mampu mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan guru dalam proses mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik di massa pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis proyek ini diharapkan mampu memberikan gambaran bagi guru di sekolah mitra dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan penerapannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan metode observasi, diskusi dan simulasi dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan antusiasme guru yang sangat tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan. Guru merasa mendapatkan wawasan dan pengetahuan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis proyek di kelas. Dalam kegiatan pendampingan guru telah berhasil membuat rancangan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan mencoba menerapkan ke dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan ini akan ditindaklanjuti dengan mengadakan kegiatan yang sama secara berkala dan pendampingan untuk memaksimalkan guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran proyek sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif.

Abstract

This article is trying to explore participation, one of the crucial Good Governance elements, as one concept which is elaborated not only as a merely participating, but also containing an effort to control awareness to truly immerse in the whole political process. There should be a real red line between participating per se and participating with awareness. Just participation may be a form of pseudo participation, which is established on the basis of mobilization. Participation with awareness, on the other hand, is more contributing to create fundamental changes in political process. In the context of participation, this sort of understanding is really crucial. Besides, this article analyzes any forms of public participation in formulating policies to govern Indonesia, particularly the locals. Whether or not they have a direct correlation with wider public interests, they have to be proportionally appreciated, particularly after the application of local autonomy. This also plays a criticism towards the just participation in Indonesia, which has caused Indonesia to be left behind by developed countries due to the latter amazing political awareness. Development may be well running by depending on the government strength, but the result will be much better when the development fully obtain public support and participation.
