<![CDATA[Fluor albus characterized by the initial symptoms of discharge vagina. Leucorrhoea experienced about 90% of Indonesian women caused by fungus or protozoa, it’s because humid weather can facilitate the development of fungal infections. Alternative to reducing vaginal discharge can be with non-pharmacological therapy, using betel leaves, because it substances can treat vaginal discharge, these substances are essential oils, euginol and ethanol extract. This study aim to determine the effect of boiled betel leaf water to reduce pathological vaginal discharge symptoms in women of childbearing age at Puskesmas Sorong Timur, Sorong City. This type of research is descriptive analytic, with a quasi-experimental method and one group design (case control) pre test and post test observation, the sample is 30 respondents consisting of 15 cases and 15 controls who experience pathological vaginal discharge. Results of pre and post administration of betel leaf boiled water with the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained the value of p = 0.000, then p <ὰ (0.05). This shows that there is an effect of betel leaf boiled water to reducing pathological vaginal discharge at Puskesmas Sorong Timur. The results of pre and post placebo administration with the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.046, then p <ὰ (0.05). This shows that there is an effect of placebo on the reduction of pathological vaginal discharge in Puskesmas Sorong Timur. Health workers suggest to provide information about fluor albus and make betel leaf boiled water as alternative that can be used to prevent pathological fluor albus.]]>
