Abstract

Tulisan ini membicarakan tentang perbandingan fonem bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Lasalimu. Bahasa Lasalimu  merupakan salah satu bahasa daerah yang ada di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara yang dituturkan oleh masyarakat di Kecamatan Lasalimu, Kabupaten Buton. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Indonesia memiliki 22 buah fonem konsonan, yaitu /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /c/, /j/, /k/, /g/, /m/, /n/, /ŋ/, /ñ/, /l/, /f/, /s/, /z/, /ʃ/, /x/, /h/, /r/, /w/, /y/ dan enam buah fonem vokal, yaitu /a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /ә/, /o/. Sementara itu, bahasa Lasalimu memiliki 20 buah fonem konsonan, yaitu /p/, /b/, /ɓ/, /t/, /d/, /ɗ/, /j/, /c/, /k/, /g/, /h/, /s/, /m/, /n/, /ŋ/, /l/, /r/, /ϕ/, /w/, /y/ dan lima buah fonem vokal, yaitu /i/, /e/, /a/, /o/, dan /u/. Bahasa Lasalimu adalah bahasa vokalis.

Abstract

BIAK language is genetically one of West Papua New Guinea family, a sub-groupof language cluster of the Austronesia, Austronesian-Melayu Polinesian-CentralEastern-Eastern Melayu-Polinesian-South Halmahera-West New Guinea-West NewGuinea-Cenderawasih Bay-Biak. This paper discusses the Biak language fromthe dialectology perspective. The purpose of this paper is to describe the distinctiveelements of language contained in the Biak language variants, particularly atthe level of phonological and lexical; to describe the spreading pattern of thelinguistic elements differences; and to determine the status of each variantcontained in Biak language as well as its usage boundaries. Determination ofthe status of a variant to the level of language, dialect, subdialect, or differentspeech was done by a quantitative approach using dialectometry method. Theanalysis of the data uses both intralingual match method and extralingual matchmethod. The results shows that the Biak language is divided into six variantswhich each of them stands as subdialect. Biak language variants show differencesat the level of phonology and lexical. AbstrakBAHASA Biak adalah salah satu kelompok bahasa yang secara genetis termasuk dalamkerabat keluarga bahasa West Papua New Guinea, subgrup rumpun bahasa Austronesia,Austronesian-Melayu Polinesian-Central Eastern-Eastern Melayu-Polinesian-SouthHalmahera-West New Guinea-West New Guine-Cenderawasih Bay-Biak. Tulisan inimembahas bahasa Biak berdasarkan tinjauan dialektologi. Tujuan tulisan ini adalahuntuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan unsur-unsur kebahasaan yang terdapat di dalamvarian-varian bahasa Biak, terutama pada tataran fonologi dan leksikal; mendeskripsikanpola penyebaran perbedaan unsur-unsur kebahasaan tersebut; dan menentukan statustiap-tiap varian yang terdapat dalam bahasa Biak serta batas-batas wilayah pakainya.Penentuan status sebuah varian ke dalam tingkatan bahasa, dialek, subdialek, ataubeda wicara dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatifdilaksanakan dengan metode dialektometri. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakanmetode padan intralingual (PI) dan metode padan ekstralingual (PE). Hasil pembahasanmenunjukkan bahwa bahasa Biak terbagi ke dalam enam varian dan keenamnyaberstatus sebagai subdialek. Pada tataran fonologi dan leksikal varian-varian bahasaBiak memperlihatkan perbedaan.

Abstract

THIS article reviews measurement words in related language Lasalimu and Kamaru.Measurement word is a word following numeral and altogether create a phrase,namely numeral phrase and probably situated before a noun. The objective ofthis work is to describe the forms and classifications of measurement words inrelated language of Lasalimu and Kamaru. It used three stages of descriptivemethod, namely collecting, analyzing, and describing the data. The analysis usedshared method, namely immediate shared component. The result was the formand classification of measurement word in related language of Lasalimu andKamaru, namely (1) measurement word of animal, (2) measurement word of things,and (3) measurement word of human being. Each of them was divided into generalmeasurement word and particular measurement word.

Abstract

Skow language is one of local language in Papua Province which relatively has less speaker. This language is spoken by people who live in village of Skou Mabo, Skou Yambe, and Skou Sae. Skou language is used in border territory of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. This writing discused about Skou language that based on morphosyntac reviewed. The aim of this reseach is to describe verb morphosyntac of Skou language. This writing uses descriptive method with three stages, namely, collecting data stage, analyzing data stage, and presenting the result of analysis data stage. The data, in this writing, was collected by using interview method (metode cakap) through stimulation technique (teknik pancing) as a basic technique while face-to-face interview (cakap semuka) and noting technique (teknik catat) as advanced techniques. The basic data of this reseach are the data of interview result which used instrument, while the supported data are taken from works of Donohue. Then, data analyzing used translational subtype of  equivalent method (metode padan). The result shows that verb morphosyntax Skou language is a kind of language whith extremely rigid verbal agreement. Verbal agreement in Skou language consists of 1) personae, 2) number, and 3) gender. Pattern of active-transitive sentence in Skow language is SOV, while its intransitive  sentences of Skou language pattern is S(S)V with OSV and (S)OSV variants. Skou language is an ergative language.

Abstract

AbstractSkow language is one of local language in Papua Province whose relatively less of speaker. This language is spoken by people who live in village of Skou Mabo, Skou Yambe, and Skou Sae. Skou language is used in border territory of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. This writing uses descriptive method with three stages, namely, collecting data stage, analyzing data stage, and presenting the result of analysis data stage. The data, in this writing, was collected by using interview method (metode cakap) then analyzed by using equivalent method (metode padan).The result shows that phrase of number in Skou language is adverbial-clause. Pronoun of person in Skou language consists of three types, they are, first person pronoun, second person pronoun, and third person pronoun. Pronoun of person in Skou language influences verbal form and become dual-subject. Skou language marks its possessive pronoun by using word order. This language marks future tense only, and its marker using verb reduplication. Aspect marker of Skou language are reduplication, agree with person pronoun and its position is after verb. Skou language is a kind of language which periphrasticallymarks mood and tense.  AbstrakSalah satu bahasa daerah yang terdapat di Provinsi Papua dengan jumlah penutur yang kecil adalah bahasa Skou. Bahasa Skou dituturkan oleh masyarakat suku Skou yang tinggal di Kampung Skou Mabo, Kampung Skou Yambe, dan Kampung Skou Sae. Bahasa Skou terletak di wilayah perbatasan Indonesia dengan negara Papua Nugini. Tulisan ini mengunakan metode deskriptif dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap penyediaan data, tahap analisis data, dan tahap penyajian hasil analisis data. Penyediaan data tulisan ini menggunakan metode cakap. Analisis data menggunakan metode padan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa frasa numeralia bahasa Skou bersifat adverbia-klausal. Pronomina persona bahasa Skou terdiri atas tiga pronomina persona, yaitu pronomina persona pertama, pronomina persona kedua, dan pronomina persona ketiga. Pronomina persona bahasa Skou memengaruhi bentuk verba dan menjadi dual-subjek. Bahasa Skou menandai kepemilikan dengan urutan kata. Bahasa Skou hanya menandai masa depan, menganut kala futur, dan penandanya menggunakan reduplikasi verba. Penanda aspek bahasa Skou, yaitu dengan reduplikasi, bersesuaian dengan pronomina persona, dan posisinya di belakang verba. Bahasa Skou sebagai salah satu bahasa yang memarkahi modus dan temporal secara perifrastis. Kata kunci: Skou, numeralia, pronomina, kala, aspek, modus

Abstract

Parts of words spoken in one breath, usually consisting of several phonemes which is a syllable. Molof syllables has always a core vowel syllables. Molof syllables consisting of one vowel, one vowel and one consonant, a consonant and a vowel, and one consonant, one vowel, and one consonant.

Abstract

A common way used to determine the language of kindship is the study kindship based on promary secondary correspondence, kognat data (same, both meaning and form), and relationships at the llevel of the phrase. Specifically studied in this paper is about the level of the phrase. Furthermore, the level of relationship is the study of syntactic phrases. One of the elements which form the level of syntactic phrases in a language is the numeralized and measure. This paper describes the kindship relation between language of Nafri and Sentani based on numbers and measure phrases.

Abstract

This study examines the classifier word in Lasalimu language. Classifier word a word that located behind numeralized and together with the word formed a phrase that called numbers phrase, which possible located in front of the nominal word. The purpose of this study was to describe the form and classification of classifier word in language of Lasalimu. This study used descriptive method with three stages, namely the stage of providing data, data analysis stage, and the stage of presenting the result of data analysis. Data analysis conducted after the data netted classified. The analysis is applied using apportion methods. The results of this study is form and classification in classifier word of Lasalimu language, namely (1) the classifier word for animals, (2) the classifier word for objects, and (3) the classifier word to humans. Each further divided into common classifier words and special classifier word.

Abstract

This article disscusses about the phoneme comparison of Kanum Sota language with Kanum Barkari’s . Language of Kanum Sota and Kanum Barkari as the vernacular languages in the province of Papua, which are spoken by people in the District of  Sota and the District of Naukenjerai, Merauke Regency. Kanum Sota language and Kanum Barkari language situated in the border between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The purpose of this paper is  to describe and compare the phonological system of Kanum Sota language with Barkari Kanum language. This study was conducted through literature. Data analysis was conducted by describing and comparing the soundssystem, phonemes, and phonemes distribution of Kanum sota language with Kanum Barkari language. The results of this study shows that Kanum Sota has more consonant phonemes than Barkari Kanum language. The similarity of  consonant phonemes of Kanum Sota language and Kanum Barkari language is the phoneme /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /j/, /k/, /g/, /m/, /n/, /ŋ/, /l/, /s/, /r/, /h/, /w/, and /y/. Consonant phonemes that owned by Kanum Sota language but it is not owned by Barkari Kanum language is the phoneme /c/, /ñ/, and /f/. Both of these language have six vowel phonemes. The similarity of  vowel phonemes between Kanum Sota and Kanum Barkari is  the phoneme /a/, /i/, /e/, and /u/. Vowel phonemes that owned by Kanum Sota language but it is not owned by Barkari Kanum language is the phoneme /ә/ and /ↄ/. While vowel phonemes that owned by Kanum Barkari language but it is not owned by Sota Kanum language is the phoneme /є/ and /o/.
