Abstract

The low of achievement students in learning mathematics is still a problem which has not been solvedyet. This is because of various factors like the designed of learning strategies. The teachers do notconsider the stages of students’ mental development and neither facilitate with the optimal learningfacilities. Beside the school facilities have not been sufficient for teaching geometry. These factors arecauses that materials delivery is not appropriate with students’ ability; therefore, we should do effortfor the improvement. This research is the implementation of cooperative learning with the aid the minilaboratory through Bruner’s theory. The aim of this research is to know the influence of cooperativelearning with the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory which is related with the entry abilityof the students. This research was conducted at the second semester of the 3rd of SD 013 TampanPekanbaru in academic year 2007/2008. The research design is treatment by block design (2x2), andthe sampel is 77 pupils. The data was gain from the result of learning which had been tried out forvalidity and reliability. The result of the data analysis indicates: (1) The cooperative learning methodwith the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effective to increase the students’achievement in mathematics than the conventional leaning model;(2) The cooperative learning methodwith the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effective to increase the studentsachievement in mathematics with high entry ability than the conventional learning model; (3) Thecooperative learning method with the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effectiveto increase the students achievement in mathematics with low entry ability than the conventionallearning model; (4) There is no significant interaction between learning method and the level ofstudents’ ability to the result of learning. The result of this research indicate that there is an influencein using the cooperative learning method with the aid of the mini laboratory through Bruner’s theoryon student achievement in mathematics with different level of student entry ability.Keyword: Cooperative Learning, Mini Laboratory, Bruner’s theory

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the low student’s achievement in mathematics in grade VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru. From data of daily students was obtained the percentage of students who got the Mastery Minimum Criteria were 43,3% for main subject Integers and 13,3% for subject Algebra. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning result in mathematics by implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) approach. The subject of this research were the students in the class VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru at the even semester of academic year 2016/2017 that consist of 14 boys and 15 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student’s mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in desciptive narative to see the process of activities learning process that the implementation wasn’t based on plan that was made so it can be arranged the improvemen plan for second cycles while the student’s mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic desciptive. The result of this research showed an improvement of learning process and student’s achievement of learning mathematic prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The students have be seriously in doing students worksheets by develop their own capability and every member of group took an active part in doing students worksheets. The students also were confident if being showed to do the presentation and being more active in giving idea for group who did the presentation. From the analysis of getting the Mastery Minimum Criteria showed an improvement student’s achievement from the basic score with percentage 34,5% to the first test with percentage 41,4% to second test with percentage 54%. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) Approach can improve the learning process and improve the student’s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru at the even semester of academic year 2016/2017.Key Words : Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Think Pair Square Approach, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : This research based on low mathematics learning achievement of student class VIIb SMPN 4 Peranap. Percentage of students reach KKM is 39,29%. The research was classroom action research. This research aims to improve learning process and student outcome by implementing cooperative lerning model structural approach of Think Pair Square (TPS). There are 28 students in the class, consisting 13 boys and 15 girls. The instrumen of data collection on this research are observation sheets for activities of teachers and students and math achievement tests. The observation sheets of teachers and students are analyzed qualitatively while the math achievement tests are analyze quantitative. The qualitative analysis showed an improvement of learning process prior to treatment of the first cycle to the second cycle. The result of this research showed an increase in student from the based score with the persentage 39,29%, to 64,29% on the first test and 75% on the second test. From the result of this study concluded that cooperative learning model structural approach of Think Pair Square can improve the students learning achievement at class VIIb SMPN 4 Peranap in the second semester academic years 2015/2016.Key Word : Mathematics learning outcome, cooperative learning model structural approach of think pair square, class action research

Abstract

AbstractThe research was classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning pair check structural approach. The subject of the research is students of class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 32 students in the class, consist of 13 boys and 19 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with analysis of descriptive narrative and descriptive statistical analysis. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 40.63%, 68.75%, dan 87.5%. Minimum mastery criteria attainment percentage indicates that the cooperative learning cooperative learning pair check structural approach can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes math class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Pair Check, Class action research

Abstract

Abstrack: The background of this study is students low in mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The aimed of study is to find out whether there is significant effect of using “problem based learning model” toward students mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The study employed the pre-experimental research focus on the static group comparison study design. The sampling of technique was purposive. The samples were two classes that have been purposive sampling after normality test and homogeneity test with the class as an experimental class and control class as a class. There were two sampling in this study; the experimental class was using “problem based learning model” and the control class with scientific approach learning. Data analysis technique used was t-test . Based on the final results of data processing obtained t > t table (1.714 > 1.666) meaning that the application of methods of problem based learning affect learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the material algebra. The finding of this research showed experimental class better than control class (78.13 > 71.13). So, it can be concluded there was significant effect of using problem based learning model toward student’s mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the first semester academic years 2016/2017 on the material algebra.Key Word : The result of mathematical, problem based learning model, pre-experimental research.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and to improve mathematics achievement by applying the cooperative learning model of structural approach Two Stay Two Stray. The research is classroom action research (PTK) that consist of two cycles and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test. The subject of this research is students of class VIII2 SMPN 2 Bangkinang Kota in the second semester academic years 2014/2015, there are 29 students in the class, consist of 9 boys and 20 girls. Data collecting through observation and written test. The observation was doing for the observation of learning activity of teacher and students, of student’s attitude and of student’s skill. While written test which in daily test form was doing to evaluate student’s knowledge. Base on the result of analysis, the amount of student that reaching KKM for attitude interest improves from 65,52% at early scor and become 75,86% at the first cycle and become 100% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching KKM for skill interest improves from 41,38% at early scor and become 51.72% at the first cycle and become 82,76% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching KKM for knowledge interest improves from 55.17% at early scor and become 65,52% at the first cycle and become 89.66% at the second cycle. The result of research conclude that applying the cooperative learning model of structural approach Two Stay Two Stray can improves the learning process and improves mathematics achievement of VIII2 SMPN 2 Bangkinang Kota in the second semester academic years 2014/2015.Key words : Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Two Stay Two Stray, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This reasearch is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning model. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consits of four stages. The stages are, lesson planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The mathematic quiz was given at the end of every cycles. The data needed are teacher’s activities data and student’s activites data collected by observation techniques and analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results shows that the implementation of the learning process in the second cycle improves from the first cycle. The data obtained from the student mathematics learning outcomes quizzes shows that the competence of knowledge and skills frequency of students at low and very low intervals decreases from the base score to the Quizze I score and to the Quizze II score as well as in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals increases from base score to Quiz I score and to Quiz II score. The result of this study indicates that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and improve mathemtics learning outcomes of students in class VII Hang Kesturi SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the academic year 2019/2020.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Absract : This research was conducted based on the student’s low interest in math of students class VIII1at SMPN 1 Bantan with percentage 50%. This research was classroom action research. This research aimed to improve students’ interest in math with TSTST cooperative Learning Model. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII1 at SMPN 1 Bantan year 2015/2016. The numbers of students in this research were 20 students consist of 8 male students and 12 are female. The instrument of data collected were observation sheets activities of teachers and students and questionnaire of student’s interest in math. The observation sheets were analysed with qualitative, while the questionnaire were analysed by descriptive quantitative. Based on both analysis showed the improvement of students interest in math before and after the research. The result showed the increasing of students interest for 19% from the previous number before the research was done that is 59% to 70% after the research. Based on the result of the research, we can conclude that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) can improve students’ interest in math of students class VIII1 at SMPN 1 Bantanacademic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Students interest in math, Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelasdengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti matakuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum Matematika Sekolah Menengah melalui penerapan Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah. Pembelajaran diselenggarakan melalui lima tahapan yaitu: (1) konsep dasar (basic concept); (2) pendefinisian masalah (defining the problem); (3) pembelajaran mandiri (self learning); (4) pertukaran pengetahuan (exchange knowledge); dan (5) penilaian (assessment). Subjekpenelitian sebanyak 25 orang mahasiswa dan mengikuti pembelajaran dari siklus I sampai siklus II. Hasil belajar silkus I diperoleh melaui UTS (ujian tengah semester) secara tertulis sedangkan hasil belajar siklus II diperoleh melalui UAS (ujian akhir semester) secara lisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada matakuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum Matematika Sekolah Menengah. Persentase mahasiswa memperoleh nilai  tergolong  baik sekali meningkat dari 8 % menjadi 36 %, dan persentase mahasiswa memperoleh nilai  tergolong  baik meningkat dari 12 % menjadi 36 %. Persentase mahasiswa memperoleh nilai  cukup, kurang, dan kurang sekali berturut-turut menurun dari 32 % menjadi 28 %,  dari 44 % menjadi 0 %, dan dari 4 % menjadi 0 %.   Kata Kunci: pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah, kurikulum matematika sekolah menengah

Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving math learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning Model with Structural Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Approach. The research subjects are 40 heterogenous academic ability level students of the VIII4 class of State Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016. The research consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the increasing number of students passing Minimun Completeness Criteria (MCC) in daily test I and daily test II. The research shows that teachers and students’ activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student’s worksheet, responding to classmate’s presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 35%, 52,5%, and 77,5%. The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students’ learning outcomes also increse. Finally, the research also shows that cooperative learning model with structural two stay two stray (TSTS) approach can improve math learning process and learning outcomes of VIII4 class students at State Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Math Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning Model with Structural Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Approach, Classroom Action Research.
