Abstract

This research aim to determine the effect of giving sawdust ash and guano fertilizer between both of it on chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) growth and production as well as to find out the best dose. This research has been conducted at Experimental Garden, University of Riau, Tampan District, lasted from April to September 2013. Research was arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with 2 factor, first is giving sawdust ash and the second one is fertilizing with guano fertilizer which is each of it consist by 3 replication. First factor; A0, A1, A2 and A3 (0, 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha), second factor; G0, G1 and G2 (0, 60 and 120 g/plot). Oberserved parameters are plant height, flowering date, harvesting date, total weight per plant, total weight per plot, fruit length, fruit girth and number sampling fruit. Data analyzed using the F test and Duncan New’s Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) 5% level. Result shows that the combination of giving sawdust ash and Guano Fertilizer reveal non significantly different to all of the parameters, but by giving sawdust ash and guano fertilizer reveal significantly different to the plant height. Abstract

This study was conducted for the purpose to know an increase in growth and the production of  sweet corn with   the provision of forage Mucuna   bracteata and bokashi. This study has been  carried out in the garden experiment agricultural faculty university of riau, district tampan city  of pekanbaru. This research was conducted  over four months  from  september 2014  - january  2015.  This  is  a research experiment using a random group factorials design consisting of two factors. First factor is the provision of forage Mucuna  bracteata, second factor is bokashi. Observed the parameters, the rate of growth of plants, titled the root of ratio, higher plants, long leaves, time appear the male flowers, time appear female flowers, the age of the harvest,  Without  the skin of the tunny per weight, the diameter of the tunny without the skin, without  the skin of the tunny long, the production of the tunny per plot. The best there was in treatment of dose 15/ ha ton of forage Mucuna  bracteata and bokashi a dose of 10 tons/ha where plants sweet corn tend to improve the result although not significantly. yield is at best treatment forage mucuna bracteata 15 tons and tons bokashi has  4,82 10 kg/plot or an equivalent 16.06 tonnes/ha.The interaction of forage mucuna bracteata and bokashi with no real influence on all the parameters of observation, but tend to increase growth and the yield of sweet corn plant.   Keywords: Mucuna bracteata; Bokashi;  Zea mays

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect of rice husk ash and some types of manure on the growth and production of sweet corn and get a dose of the best in peat. Research has been carried out from June to September 2015 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Village Rimbo Panjang, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is the rice husk ash (A), which consists of 4 levels, namely A1: 1.5 kg/plot (2.5 ton/ha), A2: 3 kg/plot (5 ton/ha), A3: 4.5 kg/plot (7.5 ton/ha), A4: 6 kg/plot (10 ton/ha) and the second factor is the manure (P) consisting of three types, namely P1: manure chicken, P2: manure goat and P3: cow manure. Parameters measured were the relative growth rate, leaf area, the ratio of crown roots, plant dry weight, while the male flowers appear, the time appears the female flowers, harvest, heavy perplot cob, cob without husk length, diameter and weight cob cob without husk. The results showed giving             7.5 ton/ha asp and chicken manure showed results highest production ie 9.93 kg/plot (16.55 ton/ha) Keywords: sweet corn, rice husk ash, manure, peat

Abstract

Organic matterin thesoilpeatsignificant effect onthe increasein thepH ofthe soil, ammonium(NH4+), the P-available, K-available, the lengthmidrib, the length ofthe childleaves,increasethe width of theleaf, root volumeand weight ofthe roots ofthe plantoil palmeachsignificantly differenttreatmentwithoutorganic matter. Abstract

Soybean crops are grain-producing potential to be developed and improved production, because of the diversity of its benefits. Soybean production can be enhanced by utilizing the existing land, tilling the soil well and provide fertilizer according to the needs of plants. Organic NPK fertilizer is one of the fertilizer that can be used to increase the production of soybean plants. This research aimed to influence a wide range of organic NPK fertilizer doses and getting the best dose for the growth and yield of soybean. This research has been conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru City for 4 months starting in July 2014 to October 2014. This research was carried out experiments using a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used in this research is:           ( 350, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 600 ) kg/ha. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and tested further by using honest significant difference at 5% level. Organic NPK fertilizer significant effect on dry weight of plants, plant height, days to flowering, harvesting, amount pod, amount of pods pithy and production of dry seeds/m2. Organic NPK fertilizer dose administration of        450 kg/ha showed good growth and production of the soybean. Keywords: soybean, organic NPK fertilizer, production

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence compost dosage interaction on Cocoa Fruit Peel and Watering Interval for the growth of oil palm Seed (Elaeis guineensisJacq)  in the primary nursery.  The research has done in conservatory of Agriculture faculty, Riau University, Bina Widya Street Km 12,5 Simpang Baru, Tampan Pekanbaru. This research was held 4 months, starting from September –December 2014 by using experiment design with Completely Randomize Design ( CRD) factorial, by 2 factors treatment and the result become 9 treatments. Every treatment was repeated 3 times, and retrieved 27 units of experiment. There were 2 seeds in every units of treatments, and the total were 54 seeds. The parameter were observed is a high added of seed growth, stem leave diameter,the root header  ratio and the seedling dry weight. The obtaining data were analyzed by using ANOVA test and continued with further DNMRT on 5% level. The research result showed that Dosage composting of cocoa fruit peel, gives the best effect of seed growth, the number of stem leaves, the stem diameter, the root header ratio and the seedling dry weight. Watering interval gives the best effect of seed growth, the number of leaves, the stem diameter,the root header ratio and the seedling dry weight. The growth of palm oil seed was best with a dose of 200 g/polybag or equivalent with 50 tons /ha with watering interval one times on two days. Abstract

The objective of the research wasto determine the influence of someAzolla liquid fertilizerconcentrationsand to get the best concentration on the growth of oil palm seeds in main nursery. Research was carried out in land of Plant Laboratory – Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, from February to May 2014. This research arranged experimentaly using Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consist by 5 treatments and each treatment was repeated 4 times then obtained 20 experimental units. The treatment given was concentration of Azolla liquid fertilizer, consist of: A1 = concentration 50 g/l, A2 = concentration 75 g/l, A3 = concentration 100 g/l, A4 = concentration 125 g/l and A5 = concentration 150 g/l. Parameters measured were the increment of seeds height, increment of leaves number, increment of stump diameter, leaf width, root length, root volume, crown root ratio and seeds dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and further test followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showedthat giving some concentration of Azollaliquidfertilizerongrowthof oil palm seedssignificantly effect onallparametersobserved. The best resultsfor the growthof oil palm seedsshown by giving 125 g/l concentrationof Azolla liquidfertilizer. Keywords: Azolla liquid fertilizer, oil palm, main nursery

Abstract

The process of developing oil palm cultivation is closely associated with the availaibility of quality seed. Quality seed is very determining the growth and production of such commodities. Supply of cocoa peel’s compost into the soil may increase the availability of nutrient elements both macro and micro. The research is aimed to know the influence of of cocoa peel’s compost on the growth of the oil palm seeds in the main nursery. The research was carried out experimentally by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with consists of four treatments and three replication. The results of research that application of cocoa peel’s compost to the oil palm seed is significantly to seed height increment, but not significantly to the number of leaves, diameter of excrescence, the ratio of the editorial root and dry weight. The application of cocoa peel’s compost with increasingly high doses tend to increase diameter of excrescence and dry weight of oil palm seed, while on parameters the number of leaves and the ratio of the editorial root not tend to increase of growing oil palm seed. The application 150 g compost/polybag or same with 37,5 ton/ha, shows the best growth of oil palm seed. Key Word : Cocoa Peel’s Compost, Oil Palm Seed

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the effect of giving compost contains cow rumen and get a dose of composted cow rumen content on seedling growth of the cocoa plant(Theobroma cacao L.). This research had been conducted on the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from April to August 2015. This research was conducted in the form of non-factorial experiment arranged in the form of completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatment with each dose of composted cow rumen contents that (K0 ): without composted cow rumen contents, (K1): 25 g/plant (K2): 50 g/plant, (K3): 75 g/plant and (K4): 100 g/plant. Each unit treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 20 units of the experiment and the experimental unit comprises three plants, two of which are used as plant samples. Parameters measured were seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, the ratio of crown roots and dry weight. Results of the analysis will be followed by a test of Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Giving Composting cow rumen content with a dose of 50 g/plant, 75 g/plant and 100 g/plant gave outgrowth good cocoa crop seeds in the parameter leaf area, root volume, the ratio of crown roots and dry weight of seedlings.   Keywords :compost, cow rumen contents, seeds, cocoa.

Abstract

This research is purposed to find out the effect of Vegetable Waste Compost and NPK Tablets compost fertilizer against growth and production of Sweet Corn (Zea mays L. Var. saccharata Sturt). The experiment held in experimental field of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University began from June 2013 to September 2013, this experiment used group random program in factorial form. The first factor is Vegetable Waste fertilizer in three level of fertilizer, K1 = 94 g/crop (5 ton/ha) K2 = 187 g/crop (10 ton/ha) K3 = 281 g/crop (15 ton/ha). The second factor is NPK Tablets in three level of fertilizer, T1 = 2 tablets/crop T2 = 4 tablets/crop T3 = 6 tablets /crop. The observation parameters are the plantation growth rate (cm), the plantation net-weight (g) in 42 days, the appearance of male flower (HST), the appearance of female flower (HST), the weight per cob (g), and the production per 3m2. Giving vegetable waste compost affects in appearance of male and female flower but does not affect the plantation growth rate, the net-weight of plantation, the weight per cob and the production per plot. Giving NPK Tablets does not affect the plantation growth rate, the net-weight of plantation, the weight per cob and the production per plot.  Keywords: growth, production, Vegetable Waste Compost fertilizer, NPK Tablets Compost fertilizer, sweet corn
