Abstract

Abstract

Adsorption capacity is the most important physicochemical process that occurs at solid-liquid and solid-gas interfaces. Adsorption has become the method of choice for removing, recovering, and recycling toxic heavy metals from wastewater. Efforts to reduce the presence of heavy metals in the affected environment caused and contaminated by heavy metals in waters. The aim of this study was to measure the adsorption capacity of Pb2+ ions and Fe3+ ions by applying 5,11,17,23-tetra-(t-butil)-25,26,27,28-tetra-Hidroksi-Kaliks[4]arena (TBKA) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butil-25-monohidroksi-26,27,28tribenzoiloksi kaliks[4]arena (TBMTKA) adsorbents with varying pH. Characterization of TBMTKA using FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. TBKA and TBMTKA are used as adsorbents for Pb2+ ions and Fe3+ ions. The results showed that variations in pH affected the adsorption capacity by TBMTKA of Pb2+ and Fe3+ ions. The adsorption capacity of TBMTKA on Pb2+ ions with a large variation in pH was 6.32; 2.16; 4.14; 10.52; and 2.88 mg/g, while the adsorption capacity by TBKA for Fe3+ ions was 8.4; 13.32; 11.6; 14.18; and 6.66 mg/g.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality (MMR) is an indicator of the success of a country's services. Every day around 830 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. To review the determinants of maternal mortality in South Sumatra Province during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a literature study approach from several databases such as sinta, pubmed, South Sumatra Province Health Profile and google scholar, by carrying out a narrative synthesis of the main search for maternal death during the co-19 pandemic. Factors that can cause maternal death. Family planning can reduce the total risk of death in women due to pregnancy. This is not a problem to reduce the risk for those who are pregnant. The role of family planning in combating maternal mortality is to help create healthy conditions for childbirth and reduce the risk of pregnancy-related death for women. this is only one part of a complex answer to a complex problem. Based on the analysis that has been carried out is maternal mortality during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article uses the method of literature review from scientific journals guided by keywords. There are 4 selected scientific journals, each journal representing this research, one of which is a determinant of the causes of maternal death during the Covid-19 pandemic. Maternal mortality during the Covid-19 pandemic is a complex problem that needs serious treatment in an effort to prevent complications that may occur during pregnancy and childbirth so as to reduce maternal mortality. Based on the analysis that has been carried out is to protect reproductive rights and human rights by reducing the burden of morbidity, disability and death associated with pregnancy and childbirth that should not have happened with the Safe Motherhood and Making Pregnancy Safer programs.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which includes the 2nd goal of sustainable development, namely ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition, and proclaiming sustainable agriculture. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between mother-to-child parenting and the incidence of stunting at the Pangkalan Health Center, Fifty Cities District. This research is an analytic observational and descriptive analytic study with a cross-sectional study design. A sample of 88 mothers with stunted toddlers aged 8-60 months in the working area of the primary health center was taken by purposive sampling. Data collected regarding exclusive breastfeeding habits, feeding habits, hygiene habits, and health habits of mothers and toddlers obtained through direct interviews and questionnaires, and the incidence of stunting in toddlers obtained from measuring the toddler's height and weighing the toddler's weight. Data analysis to see the relationship between variables using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 87.5% of the incidence of stunting in toddlers. There is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding (p-value = 0.003), feeding (p-value = 0.037), hygiene practices (p-value = 0.042), and practice maternal and toddler health (p-value = 0.047) with the incidence of toddler stunting. The results of the logistic regression test showed that the most dominant variable in this study was exclusive breastfeeding.
