Abstract

This article study discusses a portrait of religious insights among students and teachers in high schools in South Kalimantan. However, the conducted research is based on the background that the spread of radical ideology can be channeled through education, in which high school students are targeted by radical ideologies. This study intends to answer the question of how religious understanding and the role of local wisdom may encounter radicalism among Islamic education students and teachers. This article study finds that: Firstly, there are three categorizations can be mapped related to religious ideas emerging, namely: (1) Respondents whose militancy and radicalism narratives tend to dominate; (2) Some respondents also have moderation narration that dominates; and (3) some others have an equal narration of militancy and radicalism and moderation. Secondly: the locality of recitation through religious institutions of the majelis taklim with the content of Sufism-based recitation has a significant role for the students and teachers in responding to each religious issue based on moderation narration.Riset ini membahas potret faham keagamaan di dunia pendidikan dengan fokus pada siswa dan guru di Sekolah Menengah di Kalimantan Selatan. Hal ini dilatar belakangi bahwa penyebaran idiologi radikal dapat melalui jalur pendidikan, dimana siswa/siswi sekolah menengah atas dijadikan sasaran penanaman idiologi radikal.  Penelitian ini untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana pemahaman agama di kalangan siswa dan guru pendidikan Agama Islam? Bagaimana peran kearifan lokal dalam menangkal radikalisme di kalangan siswa dan guru pendidikan Agama Islam?. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: Pertama, ada tiga katagorisasi yang bisa dipetakan terkait narasi faham keagamaan yang muncul, yaitu: (1) Ada responden yang narasi militansi dan radikalisme cenderung mendominasi; (2) Ada responden yang narasi moderasinya mendominasi; (3) Ada yang antara militansi dan radikalisme di satu sisi dan moderasi di sisi lain berimbang (equal). Kedua: Lokalitas pengajian melalui lembaga keagamaan majlis taklim dengan konten pada pengajian berbasis tasawuf memiliki peran yang signifikan bagi siswa dan guru dalam merespons setiap isu keagamaan dengan basis narasi moderasi.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of the professional competence of the Arabic language teachers at the Ukhuwah Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Banjarmasin. The discussion in this research is carried out by suggesting the importance of the role of the teachers in the process of being successful in order to enhance the quality of education. Therefore, the teachers must pay close attention to their competencies before engaging to the learning process. The most important factors in the success of a learning is the teacher, it have been known that the teacher is the most dominant factors in the success of a learning. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data is collected by using the observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this research were the Arabic teachers. The results showed: The professional competence of the Arabic teachers in the Ukhuwah Integrated Islamic Junior High School Banjarmasin is meets the requirements of all aspects needed such as mastering the scientific substances related to the field of study, understanding teaching materials;  being able to design well the learning programs in accordance with what is in the school curriculum, understanding the structure, concepts and scientific methods that are shading or coherent with teaching materials, developing professionalism in a sustainable manner by taking action of reflection and utilizing the information and communication technology for self-development

Abstract

The superior ability to read Arabic texts without charity is a must for PBA students. But in reality they have difficulty in this because most of the material in the language language they study is rarely used in producing language, especially with the use of various terms that exacerbate these difficulties. Therefore, a strategy that is able to assist them in applying language rules in reading scripts with the use of simple terms and explanations is a must. And the strategy of Dji Sam Soe (234) is one solution with the character of the problem at hand. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the strategy of Dji Sam Soe (234) in reading texts without a mark on cross-level PBA students in the 2016-2017 academic year by using the Quasi experimental design of one group time series design. Porpusif sampling is a sample selection technique, which is students in the third, fifth and seventh semester who have participated in Qiraatul Kutub supporting courses with instruments in the form of sentences and paragraphs. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the ability to read manuscripts without harakat in the form of sentences or paragraphs at each level, although the average ability is slightly different in the ability to read texts in paragraph forms, where seventh semester students are better than semesters three and five.

Abstract

In writing skill learning at university, students can organize information, thoughts, and feelings in the Arabic language according to grammar by understanding concepts, writing processes, and developing paragraphs for essays. For this, lecturers can challenge their students to be confident that they can do assigned tasks well, develop new writings and innovations to them the writing, and produce achievements, and the teacher expected learning strategies. The study aims to describe the learning strategies used self-efficacy-based in writing skill learning. The study used direct observation in the field and the researcher as a moderate participant with a descriptive qualitative approach to 65 students of the fifth level of the Arabic Language Education Department, the state College of Quranic Science Amuntai Indonesia. The results are there were six strategies according to self-efficacy-based in writing skill learning, namely: Direct interaction meeting, simulation, and modeling, independent study, framework and feedback, relaxation, then suggestopedia.

Abstract

One of the branches of morphology is affixation. Affixation is a bound morpheme that is placed on the base morpheme. This article aims to describe: 1) the similarities in affixation in Arabic and Indonesian, 2) the differences in affixation in Arabic and Indonesian, and 3) the effect of affixation on the change of meaning. This research is a literature study using a qualitative approach with a contrastive analysis method, namely comparing by looking for similarities and differences between the two languages (Arabic and Indonesian) and also using constant analysis. The primary data in this study is the Qur'an, namely Surah Al-Mu'minun, and its translation, and secondary data are taken from books related to the research. The results showed similarities between Arabic and Indonesian affixation in Surah Al-Mu’minūn, namely the affixation with prefixes and suffixes, and there were two additional affixations in one word. The difference is that in Arabic, only affixation, while in Indonesian, affixation and pronouns. And the effects of the change of meaning in Arabic are in the form of gender (masculine and feminine) and the structure of numbers (singular, dual, and plural). In Indonesian, noun and adjective forms change to verbs. And for both (Arabic and Indonesian) change in active and passive forms of verbs and change in command words.

Abstract

Reading is one of the most important language skills in addition to the other three language skills. This is because reading is a means to learn the other world that is desired so that humans can expand their knowledge, have fun, and explore written messages in reading material. Likewise in learning Arabic, reading skills are important skills. Students who take Arabic classes are required to be able to read Arabic texts, both in pronouncing them and in interpreting or understanding the contents of the Arabic texts they read. However, understanding the written text is an activity process that is not easy so that various obstacles are encountered by both students and teachers. Based on these problems, to determine the right strategy, information related to the obstacles experienced is needed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the obstacles faced and the strategies applied in overcoming these obstacles. The objectives of this study based on the formulation of the problem, namely: (1) Describe the obstacles faced by class XI students in MAN in Banjarmasin, (2) know the strategies of Arabic language teachers in reading skills in MAN Banjarmasin. This study used qualitative research methods. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach, which is a form of data collection. The data collection techniques in this study were interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted with the Arabic language teacher and five students of class XI from each school. Then the data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of this study are information on the obstacles faced by students and teachers in terms of linguistic and non-linguistic aspects and the strategies applied by teachers to overcome the obstacles faced. Based on the linguistic review, there were six obstacles faced by students, while for the non-linguistic aspect there were eight obstacles. Of the difficulties faced by the students, the Arabic teacher at MAN 1, 2, and 3 Banjarmasin applied six different strategies to overcome the difficulties of reading Arabic

Abstract

This research aims to seek the equation and difference of establishment of words in two languages. Research method was contrastive analysis. The research found that: 1) aspects of the equation between the formation of the word/morphology in Arabic and Indonesia were located on af’âl in Arabic with verbs in Indonesian, isim and nouns and adjective. 2) aspects of the difference between the formation of the word/morphology in Arabic and Indonesia were verbs in Indonesian do not contain time meaning, meanwhile in Arabic mashdar does not only mean nouns but also the verb, isim fâ'il as adjective does not only mean subject/actor like isim maf’ûl, isim makân, alat and makân is similar to basic noun not derivative nouns. 3) the implications of contrastive analysis to the formation of the word/morphology in teaching Arabic is the foundation and facilitate the teacher in arranging teaching techniques, materials and the right learning methods.
