Abstract

Issues raised in this study are: what and how the terrorist movement could emerge in Aceh which are known to have a different Islamic characteristics? This study will examine how the transformation of ideological belief within the Acehnese to accept and/or to reject the radical Islamic movements that have been entered and began to spread in Aceh. This study will focus on the analysis of the ideology of "Islam Aceh" (Achenized Islam), which is then met with radical Islamic ideology of Java; what makes them able to have a common view of the "jihad" in the region which are considered to embrace "peace with democracy" after three turbulent decades. And, in former time, Aceh attempt to secede from the Republic of Indonesia in secular means. This study also will find out any books (kitab) that have influenced the people of Aceh who took part in this terrorist movement, and also how the people of Aceh in understanding the culture puts salafiyah radical Islamic thinking that drive terrorism in Aceh. The focus of this study will look at the patterns of thinking and acting as well as the cultural elements of Aceh in the followers of terrorist movements in Aceh. Explanation of this is very important to understand why the restive Aceh take ideas that are not ethno-nationalism, as formerly occurred within the Free Aceh Movement or GAM from 1976 to 2005. A number of prisoners who were jailed in terrorism cases at Tanjung Gusta Prison, Medan and Jakarta as well as in Nusakambangan will be interviewed. So also with the inmates who come from outside Aceh who are involved in terrorism in the province will be traced why and how their interaction with the people of Aceh during the movement. The study also would like to see how and in what social, economic, political and cultural settings the "terrorist Aceh" group is to survive and develop themselves. In addition, this study will gather some qualitative views of various circles of society in Aceh on the cultural differences by then that the majority of the people of Aceh who had been contacted by the terrorists refused to participate in the terror movement in Aceh so that the terrorist group should move to North Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Lampung, South Sumatra and East Java and Lombok.

Abstract

A number of publications made by the Jamaah islamiyyah terrorist group which derived from the Darul Islam will be analyzed to see how far the terrorist mind-set of Aceh in performing movements, why they react to the idea of democracy, and how they formulate Islamic caliphate, Islamic state, the establishment of Islamic law and how it relates to other Islamic religious groups in Indonesia. Among the Islamic groups those support terrorist movements in Indonesia so far and also by way of what support was given, it is still a mystery that needs to be answered through this research. It is also interesting to find out the orientation of the clergy thought that was referred by the terrorists in Aceh. During this time, the clerics of Darul Islam have been partially supported armed political movements against the government of the Republic of Indonesia but why and how they refused to participate in terrorism. Are there any scholars of the modern pesantren, or traditional Islamic boarding school, who participated in sort of moral support to terrorist groups in Indonesia? And many other questions that need to get an answer through this study.

Abstract

This article examines the role of ulama in the implementation of Sharia in Aceh by focusing on the study of their fatwa concerning apostasies and heresy. Since the time of the Aceh Sultanate, the role of the ulama has been prominent as the royal judges who applied sharia due to the status Aceh as the region that embraces Sunni Islam as the official schools of jurisprudence and theology. This situation continues in the period of independence and it has legally been further strengthened in the post-Soeharto regime (reformation era) by the special autonomy status granted to Aceh that includes the right to implement sharia in full. Based on the special autonomy, the council of ulama in Aceh, known as Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama (the Consultative Assembly of Ulama) or MPU) is officially instuted as the government partner and vested with the authority to issue religious edicts (fatwa) and give considerations regarding the problems of governance, development, community development, and Islamic economy to the government. With regards to Islamic theology, the MPU has the authority to determine the orthodoxy of a religious group by issuing fatwa. As studied, there are fourteen fatwa issued by the MPU on sects and religious movements flourished in Aceh which are deemed to be deviating from Islamic orthodoxy; those include Shiah, Millata Abraham, and Gafatar.   From in-depth studies of the fatwa, this article reveals that the influential role of ulama in Aceh in the life of society and government comes from three legitimations, namely; history, legal, and social. This thus has made the society and government feel bound by the MPU fatwa on apostasies and heresies which prompt the Aceh government to ban the groups despite freedom of religion guaranteed by the constitution. This condition is theoretically appealing because, as far as the legal system of Indonesia is a concern, obeying a fatwa is a matter moral compliance instead of legal compliance.Keywords: Aceh, Islamic Sharia, Ulama Council’s Fatwa on Apostasies and Heresies

Abstract

        This study aims to analyze the influence of the factors that affect the performanceofState Vocational School teachers in North Aceh Regency. Work ability factors, compensation for teacher performance and organizational culture, work motivation and review the mediating effects of organizational culture variables, work motivation. The data used in this study were 156 public vocational school teachers in North Aceh Regency. The data analysis method used is structural analysis with Structural Equation Modeling using the Amos Version 20 program. The results showed that the variable work ability, compensation significantly influence teacher performance as well as organizational culture variables, work motivation mediates the three exogenous variables (work ability, compensation and organizational culture, work motivation) with endogenous variables (teacher performance) partially. The recommendation that can be given is that leaders need to foster an attitude of loyalty towards the institution so that teachers have commitment, motivation and cultural values to be able to improve work for their performance. Keywords:  Work ability, Compensation, Organizational culture, Work Motivation, Teacher    Performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work motivation on teacher performance with organizational commitment and discipline as a mediator variable in the junior high school in Lhokseumawe City. The data used in this study are primary data of 150 respondents. Data analysis method in this research uses structural equation model with the help of analysis of moment structure. The results showed that work motivation and organizational commitment affect teacher performance, work motivation affects organizational commitment and motivation affects work discipline. While work discipline has no effect on teacher performance. But organizational commitment is able to mediate the relationship between work motivation on teacher performance. But work discipline is unable to mediate the relationship between work motivation and the performance of Lhokseumawe City Middle School teachers.

Abstract

This study tested the influence of workload, quality of work life and work motivation against the performance of the employees, as well as testing the effect of mediation from the variable job satisfaction. The sample in this research are 114 employees remain Civil Records residence and Office of Lhokseumawe, North Aceh Regency. Analysis tool used is the analysis of the path (path analysis) with the SEM methods (structural equation modelling) using Amos. The results showed that each variable workloads, quality of working life is a positive and significant effect against the working motivation and work performance and motivation variables mediate the work load with variable performance partially mediation and work motivation variables mediate the quality of working life with full performance variables of mediation. Keywords: workload, quality of working life, Employment, Motivation and performance of Employees

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational culture and leadership style on teacher performance with work environment and job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The data used are primary data by distributing questionnaires to 140 respondents, namely teachers who teach at Senior High Schools in Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. The method used to analyze the data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study found that the organizational culture and work environment had a positive and significant effect on the work environment and job satisfaction of senior high school teachers in Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. Furthermore, found organizational culture, leadership style, work environment and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on the performance of high school teachers in Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. Furthermore, it was found that work environment variables and job satisfaction mediate fully the influence of organizational culture and leadership style on the performance of high school teachers in Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. Based on the results of these studies it is expected that the leaders or principals in Dewantara Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency be able to give attention and priority in institutionalizing organizational culture and creating a conducive work environment to improve job satisfaction and teacher performance. Keywords: organizational culture, leadership style, work environment, job satisfaction and teacher performance

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Quality Of Work Life (QWL) terhadap kinerja karyawan dan menilai efek mediasi dari motivasi intrinsik dan kepuasan kerja antara Quality Of Work Life (QWL) terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) KPRK Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, karena sampling dilakukan untuk semua anggota populasi yaitu sebesar 115 responden. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur dengan metode SEM (pemodelan persamaan struktural) menggunakan Amos. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing- masing variabel Quality Of Work Life (QWL), motivasi intrinsik dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Variabel motivasi intrinsik memediasi Quality Of Work Life (QWL) dengan variabel kinerja karyawan secara parsial mediasi dan variabel kepuasan kerja memediasi Quality Of Work Life (QWL) dengan kinerja karyawan secara full mediasi. Kata Kunci: Quality Of Work Life (QWL), Motivasi Intrinsik, Kepuasan Kerja dan Kinerja Karyawan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the school environment, teacher professional competence on student achievement through learning motivation as an intervening variable at SMAN 2 Seulimeum Aceh Besar District. This study used two stages of sampling, namely the Proportionate stratified random sampling technique and the simple random sampling technique (simple random sampling) , which amounted to 156 students . The analysis tool uses the SEM ( structural equation modeling ) A MOS method . the study result showed that variables school environment positive and significant effect on student achievement and motivation, professional competence of teachers and a significant positive effect on student achievement and motivation, and learning motivation also has a positive and significant effect on student achievement . To me see mediation analysis of the school environment and teachers' professional competence and a significant positive effect is partially mediated the achievements of students of SMAN 2 Seulimeum Aceh Besar district.Keywords: school environment , professional competence of teachers , motivation to learn , and student achievement.
