Abstract

Body height estimation is one of important parameters used for establishing the individuality in cases of mutilated bodies or found body parts. It is not rare that in the cases of mutilation the police authority would only give the body parts or remaining skeletons of the victims. The aims of the study were to find body height estimation formula based on percutaneous of foot length and foot breadth in Javanese females at Surabaya Muhammadiyah University. The type of research design was cross-sectional observational study. Samples were Javanese females student at Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya , which was selected as the sample unit . The samples are in this study was Two-hundred and twenty-two people.The variabel independent of this research are foot length and foot breath, the variabel dependent is body height. Data were analyzed using normality test with Kolmogorov Smirnoff (a>0,05), Pearson correlation test (a<0,05) and linear regression test (a <0,05) to get body height estimation formula. The results of this study is, 1) A significant correlation between foot length and body height (r = 0,731), 2) A significant correlation between foot breadth and body height (r-0,323), 3) A significant correlation between foot length, foot breadth and body height (r=0,732), 4) The body height estimation formula based on foot length is 688,435 +3,745*foot length, 5) The body height estimation formula based on foot breadth is = 1273,002 + 2,942*foot breadth, and 6) The body height estimation formula based on foot length and foot breadth is 695,227 + 3,805*foot length – 0,229*foot breadth. As a conclusion of this study is the obtained estimation formula of body height based on foot length and foot breadth of Javanese females is 695,227 + 3,805*foot length – 0,229*foot breadth.

Abstract

The decreasing of glucose transporter 4 (GLUT 4) in adipose tissue of diabetic and obesity patients are associated withhyperinsulinaemia and insulin resistance. The adipose tissue can be used as therapeutic targets in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus(DM). Visceral adipose tissue has different morphology and functional with subcutaneous adipose tissue and Vitamin D has been knownto have contributed in DM. The aim of this study is to know the role of cholecalciferol on the expression of GLUT 4 in subcutaneous andvisceral adiposity of diabetic rats by elucidated in those tissues. The subjects of the study consisted of nineteen male diabetic rats of Wistarstrain, which were divided into control group (K) and three (3) treatment groups (X1, X2 and X3). In order to induce the condition ofDM, the animals were fed with high fat diet for three (3) weeks and administered a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (35mg/kgBW) at the end of the second week. Cholecalciferol were administered with doses of 6.25 μg/kgBW in X1, 12.5 μg/kgBW in X2and 25 μg/kgBW in X3 per oral everyday within 14 days. The subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissues of the subjects were processedinto histological slides with immunohistochemistry staining. The data were analyzed by one way ANOVA test and paired t-test (α= 0.05,significance p<0.05). In this study was found the significance of GLUT 4 expression in subcutaneous adiposity (p=0.035) is differentbetween the groups, the differences were found between group K and groups X1, X2 and X3. Also there were found the significance differentof GLUT 4 expression in subcutaneous adiposities compared with visceral adiposities in all treatment groups (p>0.05). Based on thisstudy it can be concluded that cholecalciferol could increase the expression of GLUT 4 in the subcutaneous adiposity, but not in visceraladiposity of the diabetic rats.

Abstract

Kota Bogor sebagai daerah yang berkembang menjadi kota besar membutuhkan kondisi dan pelayanan jalan yang aman dan nyaman untuk mendukung pertumbuhan perekonomian. Jalan sebagai sarana pendukung dalam tercapainya pertumbuhan roda perekonomian di Kota Bogor masih banyak permasalahan baik dari sarana maupun prasarana transportasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi dan pelayanan jalan sesuai dengan kondisi nyata dilapangan sekarang berdasarkan arus lalu-lintas, kecepatan kendaraan, kapasitas dan derajat kejenuhan jalan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang sesuainya beberapa kondisi tata ruang dengan fungsi pelayanan jalan yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah daerah hal ini mengacu pada salah satu persyaratan fungsi pelayanan jalan dimana kecepatan tidak memenuhi persyaratan minimal. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan pada ruas jalan Kota Bogor Kecamatan Tanah Saeral zona-B dapat disimpulkan jalan yang memiliki tingkat pelayanan B, dengan Q/C rasio terendah 0,367 pada jalan Taman Cimanggu, dan Q/C rasio tertinggi 0,83 pada jalan Sholeh Iskandar I & II. Kecepatan kendaraan pada ruas jalan Kota Bogor Kecamatan Tanah Sareal zona-B yang memiliki kecepatan tertinggi yaitu jalan Sholeh Iskandar I sebesar 40,89 km/jam dan kecepatan terendah yaitu jalan Taman Cimanggu sebesar 25,22 km/jam.

Abstract

Intisari— Dunia industri di indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang pesat. Perkembangan industri ini tidak lepas dari sektor formal dan informal. Salah satu perkembangan industri informal yaitu bidang pengelasan. Pengelasan adalah teknik penyambungan antara dua buah logam atau lebih dengan memanfaatkan energi panas. Aktivitas para pekerja las tersebut dilakukan dengan posisi badan membungkuk dan jongkok selama ber jam-jam hingga proses pengerjaan suatu produk selesai. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan pekerja mengalami keluahan otot dibeberapa bagian tubuhnya. Keluhan tersebut terjadi pada bagian leher, punggung, lutut, dan kaki. Salah satu dampak resiko pada kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja yang dihadapi oleh pekerja bengkel las adalah keluhan musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Penelitian bertujuan untuk Mengetahui tingkat resiko ergonomi berdasarkan metode loading on the Upper Body Assessment (LUBA) dan Merancang alat bantu cekam (Fixture) yang ergonomis. Metode LUBA (Loading on the Upper Limb Assesment) adalah metode pemberian kode postur tubuh duduk atau berdiri dengan memberikan bobot tambahan untuk postur yang sesuai dengan hasil percobaan dari kondisi ketidaknyamanan yang dirasakan oleh sendi dari individu, Loading on the Upper Limb Assesment merupakan suatu teknik untuk pembebanan postural pada penilaian atas tubuh. Abstract—The industrial world in Indonesia is experiencing rapid development. The development of this industry cannot be separated from the formal and informal sectors. One of the informal industry developments is the welding field. Welding is a technique of connecting two or more metals by utilizing heat energy. The activities of the welding workers are carried out with the position of the body bending and squatting for hours until the process of completing a product is completed. This can result in workers experiencing muscle exhaustion in some parts of their body. These complaints occur in the neck, back, knees and legs. One of the effects of risk on occupational health and safety faced by welding workshop workers is a complaint of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The study aimed to determine the level of ergonomic risk based on the Loading on the Upper Body Assessment (LUBA) method and Designing an Ergonomic Fixture tool. The LUBA method (Loading on the Upper Limb Assessment) is a method of coding the posture of sitting or standing by giving additional weight to the posture that matches the experimental results of the conditions of discomfort felt by the joints of individuals, Loading on the Upper Limb Assessment is a technique for postural loading on the assessment of the body.

Abstract

Taman Kili-Kili Beach, Trenggalek Regency, East Java Province is one of location where sea turtles landing and laying their eggs. This location is a community-based conservation area. Based on information from Wonocoyo Village Pokmaswas who worked at the location, the landing and nesting area of sea turtles tends to be on the west side of the coast. This study aimed to provide a scientific explanation of these conditions by using remote sensing data of time series Sentinel Image 2a, beach sand texture data, beach profiles, sea turtle landing location, supratidal area prediction using GIS analysis and eggs data. Result showed that the preference of the landing and nesting area of sea turtles on the west side of Taman Kili-Kili Beach was related to the dynamics of the coastal conditions especially the coastline and supratidal area.
