Abstract

ABSTRACT "Teacher's Expressive Speech Against Class VII Students in Indonesian Language Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung, Padang Pariaman Regency". Essay. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. Indonesian Language and Literature Department and Regional Language and Art Faculty, Padang State University. The reason for this research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung, Padang Pariaman Regency, grade VII, was the strategy of teacher's utterance on how students sometimes still use mixed code in their speech. The intended speech acts such as speech acts praise, blame, criticize, thank you, congratulate, and condolence. Data collection was carried out by the skillful free listening (SBLC) technique, recording, and recording. Data obtained from recordings are then transcribed into written language. Based on the data analysis conducted it can be concluded as follows. First, the results of this study indicate that Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung use four types of expressive speech acts, namely expressive speech acts praise, expressive blame speech acts, expressive speech acts criticize, and expressive speech acts to thank. Secondly, the strategy of speaking Indonesian language teachers in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung, Padang Pariaman District, there are four, namely to speak frankly without further ado, to be forthright with pleasant politeness, to be forthright with small talk of negative politeness, and strategy berututr vaguely. The most dominant spoken strategy used by Indonesian teachers in class VII is the strategy of speaking honestly without further ado. Kata Kunci: Strategi, tindak tutur ekspresif

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, describe the contribution of reading skills to fable text comprehension on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely as many as 250 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 48 students. The data of this study were scores on the results of reading skills tests of fable text comprehension and scores on the results of fable text writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objektive to measure reading skills fable text comprehension and performance tests to measure fable text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 81.31. Second, fable text writing skills of grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 25 are in good qualification (B) with an average of 77.26. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in fable text comprehension towards fable text writing skills of class VII students of Padang State Middle School at 53.29%. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, keterampilan membaca                    pemahaman, keterampilan menulis teks fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe problem studied was the teacher's expressive speech act and the politeness principle used by the Indonesian language teacher in class VII 1 Padang 34 Middle School. In this study, the types of expressive speech acts and language politeness principles were described which were used by Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of Padang State Middle School 34. Data collection is done by referring to the method. The method of referencing is listening to the use of language to obtain lingual data. The techniques used in this study are (1) recording technique, is a listening activity using a recording device, (2) recording technique, is the activity of recording data that has been recorded. Based on the data analysis conducted it can be concluded as follows. First, the results of this study indicate that Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 34 Padang used six types of expressive speech acts, namely expressive speech criticizing, expressive speech acts praising, expressive speech acts blaming, expressive speech acts thanking, speech acts expressive condolences, and expressive speech acts apologize. The most dominant speech act found is expressive speech criticism and the least is expressive speech act apologizing. Secondly, the politeness principle of Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 34 Padang uses the maxim of generosity, maxim of wisdom, maxim of appreciation, maxim of consensus, maxim of simplicity, and maxim of conclusions. The most dominant method used by Indonesian teachers in class VII 1 is the maxim of generosity and the most used is the maxim of conclusions. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan, Tindak Tutur Ekspresif

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is to describe the reading skills of students' news text comprehension, Second, to describe the skills of writing news texts of students, third, to describe the correlation of reading comprehension of news texts with news writing skills of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 9 Padang. The population of this research is VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang in the 2019/2020 school year, which is 245 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 25% of 49 students. The research data scores the results of reading text comprehension test scores and the scores of news text writing skills scores. The research instrument is an objective test for reading text comprehension skills and performance tests for news text writing skills. Research Results First, the reading skills of understanding the news text of good qualifying students (B). Second, the skills of writing news texts of good qualifying students (B). Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news writing skills of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang with degrees of freedom n-1 at 95% confidence level. T value (5.55) is greater than t table (1.68), i.e. titung> ttabel (5.55> 1.68) thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table. It can be concluded that reading text comprehension skills are correlated with news text writing skills. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman, Teks Berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to look at the relationship between of the silent reading skills and the writing skills to summary of the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang. The data in this research was test score of the silent reading skills and test score of the writing skills to summary. The data were obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests to measure the silent reading skills and test performance to measure the writing skills to summary. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was concluded the following three points. First, the silent reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang located on qualifications More than Enough (LDC) with the average value (75,48). Second, the writing skills to summary of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang located on qualifications More than Enough (LDC) with the average value (75,66). Third, there was a relationship between the silent reading skills and the writing skills to summary of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang at significant level of 95% with n-1 degrees of freedom, namely tarithmetic>ttable (30,75>1,68). Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 accepted because the test results prove that tarithmetic> ttable. Kata kunci: hubungan, membaca pemahaman, menulis rangkuman

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of discovery learning through audiovisual media toward writing skill on exposition text for eight grade of SMP Negeri 31 Padang students. This research used quantitative method which usedone group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. There was 271 population but there was only one class to be the sample. It was class VIII.1 whivh consisted of 34 students that choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The data of this research was the score of the result of students’ writing skill in exposition text before and after using discovery learning model through audiovisual media. There are three result of this research. First, the students’ writing skill in exposition text before using discovery learning through audivisual media was 68,14. Second, the students’ writing skill in exposition text after using discovery learning through audiovisual media was 82,84. Third, based on the t-test alternative hypotesis (H1) is accepted on the significant degree 95% and degree (dk) = n – 1 tcount > ttable (7,00>1,70).   Kata kunci: discovery learning, media audiovisual, keterampilan menulis, teks eksposisi.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the level of empirical research text writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan without using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy, (2) describe the level of writing skills text empirical research grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies, and (3) describe the influence of the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy against empirical research text writing skills grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan. The theory used in the study of empirical research text writing skills, strategies, and audiovisual media inkuiri. Type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The selected experimental methods i.e. artificial experiments or design with the design experiment quasy static two groups. The population in this research is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan listed in the lesson 2016/2017 of 238 students. A sample of these studies amounted to 32 students. Sampling this research was conducted with the purposive sampling technique. This research data is a score test results of empirical research text writing skills without the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies and score the test results of empirical research text writing skills using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy. Kata Kunci: inkuiri, audiovisual media strategy, text of empirical research

Abstract

ABSTRACT The porpose of this research there are three. First, to describes the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara. Second, to describes a text description of the writing skills of students grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara.  This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara that are listed in the 2017/2018, i.e., 268 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text description and score the writing skills test result text description. Research instrument is an objective test to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description. The results of the research there are three. First, a text description of the writing skills of students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara lies on the qualifications of either (B). Second, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara are on Good qualifications (B). Third, intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions account for 47.20% against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the skills of understanding the text of the observation report of class X SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti , (2) describe the writing skills of the observation report text of class X SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti , and (3) analyze the correlation of understanding skills text of the report on the results of observation with the skill of writing a report text as a result of observation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Gumanti Valley. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The design of this study is correlational. There are three conclusions in this study. First, the skill of understanding the text of the report on the observation results of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti is in more than enough qualifications with a value of 74.57. Second, the text writing skills of the report on the results of observation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti are in good qualifications with a value of 76.56. Third, the skill of understanding the text of the observation report has a significant correlation with the writing skills of the report's observation text in class X of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti at 85%. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Memahami, Menulis, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi
