Abstract

The development of technology which is very fast force us to equalize with the performance of technology, therefore we are charged to be able to create an application which are useful and beneficial for people. It is proved with the increasing of the use of computer technology even gadgets. PT. Masa Kini Mandiri (Lampung Post) especially in the documentation section need an application to scan data of news and picture for simplifying the data management. Data of news and picture which are still placed in folder shared will be impact in losing or redudancy of the data, both news or picture. Repository or warehouse is needed for the saving or documentation interest of a manuscript or picture in PT. Masa Kini Mandiri (Lampung Post) especially in documentation section, therefore if those data are needed in certain time in the future, it can be used as it should.Therefore the repository system of news and picture is needed to accommodate the data, news or picture which are alrealy published by Lampung Post daily newspaper. While the manuscript and picture that are in formed of file can be saved by repository system, so it can simplify in searching those data, news or picture in the future.Keywords : Repository, Newspaper, Picture, File, Folder Shared

Abstract

This research will build a system or tool (software) for face recognition based image search for lecturers to teach IBI Darmajaya attendance. This study used the face with a normal pose or face with position perpendicular to the face. Facial image recognition method using the 2D-DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform Dimention 2) good image and image database query. The system is expected to replace the old model of teaching faculty attendance Darmajaya IBI. Lecturers who will teach come to PLPP no longer need to put or write down the number of meetings, day and date, subject and sub ​​subject but the teacher just came in front of the camera PLPP automatic scanner and a professor of facial images will be taken then processed by the program, the program will inform the faculty meeting and room number. Abstract

CCTV which available now is not provided with the ability to recognize but only to record and must be observed directly by users. This way will heighten the level of human error, therefore this paper will build 3D face recognition to be implemented on CCTV provided with camera control using microcontroller. Microcontroller will assist in the process of face recognition. The 3D face recognition is selected in the process of face recognition because it has some benefits that namely not dependent to the lighting. Key words: CCTV, 3D face recognition, microcontroller

Abstract

Recently, the main focus in research and development are pointing to multimedia data, including audio. The method used for indexing and retrieval of multimedia data is known as MIRS  (Multimedia Indexing and Retrieval System). MIRS differs from traditional database management system since multimedia data has different characteristics compared to alphanumeric data. In this research a method for indexing and retrieval of audio file is developed and evaluated. The number of samples of the data used in this research are varied, but the sampling rate and the numer of bits per sample are the same. An audio file is represented by a number of features extracted from the file and stored in the system’s database. The features used for this research are average enegy, zero crossing rate and silence ratio. The three features are used for matching between query audio file and audio file in the database either individually or simultaneously. The experimental results show that the succes rate of this system to find audio files depends on the feature used and the threshold used for measuring the similarity between query audio and files in the database.  By using Euclidean Distance, the average energy gives 90% succes rate, the zero crossing rate gives 77% succes rate, the silence ratio gives 90% succes rate and the combined feature gives 90% succes rate. This succes rate percentage showed that the features used to recognize similarity between query audio file and database audio file is appropriate.   Keyword :  MIRS, average energy, zero crossing rate, silence ratio

Abstract

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is the instrument used to manage and process certain activities which are able to be followed, controlled, ensured, and actualized so that the performance is implemented. KPI of each department is one of the benchmarks to know the quality of a university. This program is used to provide solutions for considering the KPI of each department in order to be implemented quickly and efficiently. Therefore, it does not require a long time and can be done anywhere.In this research, this application was built by using Waterfall method as the software development method including 5 stages: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance. In addition, the programming language used in this research was PHP and HTML. Moreover, the website display used in this research was CSS. Besides, the database used in this research was MySql with Notepad ++. Furthermore, the tool and editor used in this research were Notepad ++ and XAMPP. The result of this research generated the website-based application for KPI in the Informatics and Business Institute Darmajaya Bandar Lampung. The advantage of this application was providing convenience in considering KPI of each department, particularly for the head of each department as the user. Keywords: Key Performance Indicators of Department, Waterfall, Website

Abstract

According to the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Sulawesi, Indonesia on 28 September 2018 with a strength of 7.4 Mw it has cost many lives and damage to the property. The number of victims of the tsunami deaths in Central Sulawesi, on October 10, 2018 at 13:00 pm, increased to 2045 people. The number consists of 1,636 people from Palu City, 171 from Donggala, Sigi 222 people, Parigi Moutong 15 people. The dark history that struck the population was the second catastrophic disaster in the Sulawesi region besides from the Tsunami Sulteng which took place on August 10, 1968, with magnitude 7.3 in Central Sulawesi. From that event, this disaster has become a starting point for creating a tool for detecting earthquake seismic activity by using Hydrophone. Hence, the purpose of this study is to proposed this tool to be used in the most threatening areas in Indonesia of such disaster. It will act to warn residents around the affected area to at least act to save themselves. Hydrophone is a microphone designed for underwater use to record or hear underwater sounds. Most Hydrophone is based on a piezoelectric transducer that generates electricity when it comes to pressure changes. Piezoelectric materials, or transducers, can convert sound signals into electrical signals because the sound is a pressure wave. Abstract

The problem statement of this study was that checking and monitoring process in the computer laboratory of Institute of Informatics and Business (IIB) Darmajaya was less optimal because it was still carried out manually. This caused a difficulty for the head and assistants of the computer laboratory because the written data on paper were vulnerable, and easy to lose and scatter. According to this problem, an application was needed not only for the assistants of the computer laboratory who used it to record the checked-list data but also for the head of the computer laboratory who used it to monitor the readiness of the laboratory in real time. It was expected that the application was able to facilitate the checking and monitoring process for the assistants of the computer laboratory. Moreover, the application was expected to facilitate the head of the computer laboratory to monitor the readiness of the computer laboratory by looking at checked lists data stored in the database.Keywords: Monitoring, Real Time, Computer Laboratory
