Abstract

AbstractThe research purpose to improve student learning activities and outcomes through learning models make a match on the heat leasson. This rearch method applied Arikunto cycle classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this research is class VIID public junior high school 11 of Pontianak. Data collection includes (1) observation sheets to observe learning activities, (2) Preliminary test and final test. Student learning activities that are intended to ask, answer, refute and cooperative while the teacher activity application of the make a match learning model. Data obtained indicated an increase student learning activities that are in the category of very active and active ftrom cycle I to cycle II of 1,58% from 76.47% to 90,05%. The results of data analysis show learning outcomesof student who reach the KKM has incteast. The increase learning outcomes in the first cycle was 64,8% while the increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle was 61,8% The results of this study indicate make a match learning model can increase activity and the results increase so other rearcheers can also apply this learning model with motes on studying and understanding the rules of CAR and the steps of learning to make a match.Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Head, Learning Activities, Learning Outcomes, Make a Match,

Abstract

AbstractThe objectives of this research are to find out the errors and the sources of errors. The research was conducted at Senior High School 2 Pontianak with 33 students as the subject. The data collected through essay and interview.  Essay was taken to find out the errors, while interview was conducted to find out the sources of errors. Technique analysis of miles and Huberman was used on the data. The result shows that students’ errors were divided into 4 errors based on Polya’s problem-solving stages. (1) Errors in understanding the problem is 29.7%. Errors was happened due to the lack of conscientious and lack of practices to write down what students know and what students should ask. (2) Errors in planning the solution is 38.8%. The source of errors were due to students’ less experienced in formulating equation and its steps. (3) Difficulties in executing the plan is 55.14%. The source of this errors was the student unable to finish the test based on the plan, thus the student were not able to reach the conclusion. (4) Difficulties in recheck or double check is 49.7%. The sources of errors were miscalculation that caused the students to lost track of the test and made the recheck harder. Keywords : Analyzed of Mistake, Problem Solving based on Polya, Energy and Heat Movement

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mencobakan reciprocal teaching untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak tentang materi hukum Archimedes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design tipe one group pre-test post-test design. Data diperoleh melalui metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI) termodifikasi. Sebanyak 39 orang siswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Diperoleh persentase rata-rata penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 77,61%. Penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada benda tenggelam tidak mengalami gaya apung (100%). Penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi lubang pada sebuah benda menyebabkan benda tenggelam (40%). Serta penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi ukuran besar benda menentukan posisinya di dalam air (92,85%). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa. Kata kunci: Recipocal Teaching, CRI termodifikasi. Abstract: Reciprocal teaching was conducted to remediate misconceptions on concepts of Archimedes Law of 10th grade students of the Pontianak Government High School No 2 using the one group pre-test post-test design. The modified of Certainty of Response Index (CRI) of multiple choise was administered among 39 students. The number of the students who have misconceptions decreases ranging from 40%-100%, in the average of 77.61%. It is expected that the reciprocal teaching could be used as an alternative remediation activities. Keywords: Reciprocal Teaching, Modified CRI.

Abstract

Abstrack This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of learning model picture and picture to the students' learning outcomes on the impulse and momentum materials in the class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak, the research form used was quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Population in this research was student of class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak. Sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique with class X RPL as experiment class and class X TKJ-1 as control class. Data collection was done by measurement technique. The data collection tool was an essaybased learning test consisting of 5 questions with a reliability level of 0.6. Based on the result of posttest data analysis using non parametric statistic test U Mann Whitney test with ? 5% obtained -Zhit ? -Ztab is -4,889 <-1,96. This shows that there was a difference between the students' learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class. The result of calculation of effect size is 0,9 (31,59%) which means study model picture and picture give high influence to result of student learning. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi momentum dan impuls kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pilihan ganda dan essay Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 73.38, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol adalah 68.44. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji t dengan taraf signifikan α=5% menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa  yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai Effect Size yang diperoleh sebesar 0.7 dengan kategori sedang dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 25.80%, artinya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe NHT, Hasil Belajar, Momentum dan Impuls Abstrack: The purpose of this research was to know the influence type of cooperative larning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) toward learning outcomes in momentum and impulse materials on grade XI IPA SMAN 5 Pontianak. The form of this research was a quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research are XI IPA 1 as experiment class and XI IPA 3 as control class. The instrument that been used was multiple choice and essay. The average learning outcomes of students in experiment class is 73.38, while the average learning outcomes of students in control class is 68.44. Based on the t test with significance level α = 5% indicated there were differences between students that taught by using type of cooperative larning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) with students that taught by using conventional learning model. The value of effect size is 0,7 with moderate category and gave the contribution 27,64%, it means type of cooperative larning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) gave effect on student learning. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze students ability to solve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems in physics, especially in simple harmonic motion in SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. The methods used in this research was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The subjects in this research is 60 students of class XI MIPA. The data-collecting instruments in this research was ten essay problems, consists of  analyze, evaluate, and create step of thinking. According to the data result of this research, it is concluded that the students ability to analyze problems 43,13%, while the average of stdents evaluate ability are 41% and students create ability are 12.67%. The result of mann-whitney were asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) score of 0,075 (>0,05), so H0 are accepted and H1 are denied. It means that there aren't significant difference between the average of the result of students problem solving abilities of male and female students. Those results show that students abilities of solving high order thinking problems still categorised as low. Therefore, the remediation of  learning activities in class still needed in order to increase students high order thinking skill in SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. Keyword: Analysis, Higher Order Thinking Skills, Simple harmonic motion

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to developed the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) test about temperature and heat in senior High School students. The method in this research was developed from Borg and Gall development model which has been simplified into 6 steps, they were collecting data planning, product designing, design revisioning, trial product, product revisioning, and data analysis. The test consists of 10 multiple choise questions with the reason. 85 students were involve in the trial. Based on date analyze, HOTS test developed is proper to used which test characteristic of high validity level, high reability, easy to moderate level of diffcullty and readability index greater or equal to 6. The analysis results of contens validity is 0,75 result of item validity 9 question valid, the reability of this test was 0,616 and readability index of this test was 6,933. So, there werw 9 of 10 developed question that could be used. Keywords: Harmonic Vibration, HOTS, Test Development

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to know the effectiveness of the use of systematic approach to problem solving to improve students' ability to solve the accelerated uniform motion in SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. The research method used was Pre-Experimental Design with the design of One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample of this study involved 24 MIA 1 class X students who were selected using Intact Group Random Sampling. The test used in this study is a limited description of 4 questions given before and after treatment. The results of the study found: (1) the average score of the students 'abilities before and after completing the questions was 13.33 and 36.42; (2) there were differences in students' ability to solve accelerated uniform motion before and after being taught using systematic approach to problem solving (p <0.05); (3) the effectiveness of using systematic approach to problem solving to improve students' ability to solve accelerated uniform motion is relatively high (ES = 3.41). This research is expected to be used as an alternative to improve students' ability to solve problems. Keyword: Ability, SAPS, and Accelerated Uniform Motion

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of study is to know that advance organizer learning model helped worksheet can remediate students’ error in solving Kirchoff’s second law problems in SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The type of study is pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study was selected using intact group technique to obtain 34 students from class X H. Data collection instrument used is four essay questions that have been validated (validity is 3.5 on medium category) and tested for its reliability (reliability is 0.649 on high category). Based on data analysis obtained that the most students’ error on solving Kirchhoff's second law ploblems is calculation error by 77% in pre-test and post-test current 36%. As for the average decrease in students’ error on solving the Kirchoff’s second law after being given remedy using advance organizer learning model by 75% with the effectiveness of 0.756. Thus, advance organizer learning model helped worksheet can remediate the students' error on solving Kirchoff’s second law problem at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. So, hopefully the result of study can be used as reference of teacher in learning.Keywords    : Advance organizer, worksheet, students’ error, Kirchoff second law

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian corrective feedback pada PR terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal termodinamika siswa kelas X SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy experimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan intact group. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 28 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan siswa dengan corrective feedback sebesar 37,11 dan tanpa corrective feedback sebesar 31,87. Persentase rata-rata kemampuan siswa berdasarkan tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan corrective feedback sebesar 71,43% dan tanpa corrective feedback sebesar 60,83%. Hasil perhitungan uji t-test polled varians menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal termodinamika antara kedua kelas dengan thitung > ttabel (2,08 > 2,00). Corrective Feedback memberikan pengaruh yang positif dengan ES = 0,64 berkategori sedang dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 23,89%. Berdasarkan penelitian, corrective feedback sebaiknya diberikan pada materi, jenis tes dan permasalahan yang berbeda. Kata Kunci : Corrective Feedback, Kemampuan Menyelesaikan Soal Abstract: This research aims to find out about the effect of corrective feedback to homework on the ability of solving problems of thermodynamics in class X of SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak. This research was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used the intact group. The samples were 28 students in the experimental class and 30 in control class. The results show that the average score of students with corrective feedback is 37.11 and without corrective feedback was 31.87. The average percentage of students? ability in the problem solving stages with corrective feedback was 71.43% and without corrective feedback was 60,83%. The results of calculations using polled variance t-test show that there are differences in the ability of solving problems of thermodynamics between the two classes with t-count > t-table (2.08 > 2.00). Corrective feedback had a positive effect with ES = 0.64 and categorized as moderate and gave a contibution of 23.89%. Based on the research, corrective feedback should be given to materials, types of test and different problem. Keywords: Corrective Feedback, Problem Solving Ability
