The aim was to see the effect of different feed combinations on the growth of gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy Lac.) larvae. The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely factor randomized design (CRD) and six treatments with three replications. The treatments applied in this study are: P1 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + Moina sp on 11st-20th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 21st-30th day + shrimp pellets on 31st-40th day. P2 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 11st-20th day + Moina sp on 21st-30th day + shrimp pellets on 31st-40th day. P3 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + shrimp pellets on 11st-20th day + Moina sp on 21st-30th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 31st-40th day. P4 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + Moina sp on 11st-20th day + shrimp pellets on 21st-30th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 31st-40th day. P5 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 11st-20th day + shrimp pellets on 21st-30th day + Moina sp on 31st-40th day. P6 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + shrimp pellets on 11st-20th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 21st-30th day + Moina sp on 31st-40th day. The results showed that the best combination of feed for the growth of gouramy larvae are P4, with absolute weight growth 0,26 g, specific growth rates 5,67%, absolute length growth 3,23 cm, and survival rate 76,67%. Abstract

Nowadays, geso fish Hemibagrus wyckii Bagridae is extinction The objective of this research is to analyze the distribution of length and weight of Geso fish, water quality parameter as the characteristic of Geso habitat and reproduction aspect which is the basic data to perform the domestication process. To know the distribution of length and weight of Geso fish, the samples were taken from three research locations, namely Kampar Kanan River, Kampar Kiri River and Koto Panjang Reservoir, each with 15 individual, To analyze the reproduction aspect of Geso fish required 45 samples and to get the data of Geso fish habitat characteristic was taken once monthly water samples in June, July and August 2015 in three research sites, Kampar Kanan River, Kampar Kiri River and Koto Panjang Reservoir. The results showed that the average length of total and weight of geso fish from Kampar Kanan River (491.93 mm, 1390.83g) and Kampar Kiri River (489.73 mm, 1338.97g) was higher than that of Koto Reservoir Length (286.60 mm; 1078 g). The water quality parameters that are the main differentiator between the three habitats are nitrite, nitrate, electric conductivity and COD. Fecundity of geso fish ranges from 2943-9558 eggs with egg diameter ranging from 1.04 to 2.81 mm. Gonad Somatik Index (IGS) of geso female fishingTKG IV between 2.73-3.97%and males between 1.22-2.00%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out the countent of nutrition of Ara (Ficus racemosa L) wich covers : thelevel of protein, fat, water, ash, fibrous part of the fruit, calcium, phosphor, vitamine C and E as well as amino acidwhich are very useful for enrichment of fish diets. The sample of Ara fruit were collected directly in the field. Therewere two types of processing Ara fruits used in this research, namely (1) cutting the fruits into thin layer and madeit into; (2) separating the fuit from the seed, dried, and made it into flour. The level of protein, fat, fibrous part of thefruit, water, and ash was analyzed by using proximate analysis, while the level of calcium was analyzed by usingAAS methods. The level of phosphor was measured by using spectrophotometer, the level of vitamine C and E wasanalyzed by using HPLC and amino acid by gas chromatography (CG). The study found that the flesh flour of Arafruit contained protein (10,63%), fat (8,66%), water (7,08 %), ash (11,57%), fibrous part of the fruit (16,15%), calcium514,88 mg/100 g), phosphor (418,29 mg/100 g), vitamine C (475,38 mg/100 g), and amino acid (3,013 %) higher thanAra flour with protein (8,98 %), fat (6,57%), water (10,26%), ash (18,23%), fibrous part of the fruit (20,31%), calcium(0,039 mg/100g), phosphor (0,002 mg/100g), vitamin C 25,48 mg/100 g ), and amino acid (1,24%). It can be concludedthat the Ara flour can be used as on of the ingredients for fish diets especially as the source of vitamine C, calciumand phosphor to incrase reproduction ability and growth.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 12nd May until 23rd July 2015. The aims of thisresearch was to determine the best dose of mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostanaL.) simplicia addition in feed to increase non-specific immune responses in Africancatfish (Clarias gariepinus). This research used Completely Randomized Design(CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The treatments wereaddition of mangosteen rind simplicia in feed with different concentration i.e : Kn(without addition of mangosteen rind simplicia and without infected with A.hydrophila), Kp (without addition of mangosteen rind simplicia and infected with A.hydrophila), P1 (addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 2 g/kg of feed and infectedwith A. hydrophila), P2 (addition addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 4 g/kg of feedand infected with A. hydrophila) and P3 (addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 6 g/kgof feed and infected with A. hydrophila). The results showed that mangosteen rindsimplicia in feed of treatment P3 on the best dose (6 g/kg of feed) and it can beincrease of non-specific immune responses in African catfish.Key words : Garcinia mangostana L., Clarias gariepinus, A. hydrophila,Simplicia, Differentiation of Leukocytes

Abstract

ABSTRACT The effect of stocking density and feeding rate on the growth and survival rate of comet gold fish larvae (Carassius auratus) was conducted on 14 May to 23   June 2017 in the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The larva was reared in 15 liters aquarium using water resirculation system. This research used the experimental method, while the experimental design using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) two factors. First factor was stocking density with four treatments (1 larvae/liters, 2 larvae/liters,3 larvae/liters, 4 larvae/liters) and second factor was feeding rate with two treatments( 40 % and 60 % body weight/day). To minimize errors, each treatment repeated 3 times. The growth and survival rate of larvae reared at stocking density 1 larvae/L and feeding rate 60% body weight/day were significantly higher than those it 2, 3, 4 larvae/L and 40 % Bw/day respectively. Larvae reared at stocking density 1 larvae/Liter and feeding rate 60% body weight/day was the highest in growth the survival rate, that was 2.46 g, 4,36 cm, 12,94 % /day and 100 % survival rate. The water quality parameters during this research were: temperature 24,6-28,2 0C, pH 5,2-6,8 and dissolved oxygen 4,9-6,0 mg/l. Key word : Carassius auratus, density, feeding rate, growth, survival rate and recirculation
