Abstract

ABSTRACKThis research was conducted in April - May 2018 at Fish Breeding Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Faculty, University of Riau. The aim was to see the effect of different feed combinations on the growth of gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy Lac.) larvae. The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely factor randomized design (CRD) and six treatments with three replications. The treatments applied in this study are: P1 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + Moina sp on 11st-20th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 21st-30th day + shrimp pellets on 31st-40th day. P2 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 11st-20th day + Moina sp on 21st-30th day + shrimp pellets on 31st-40th day. P3 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + shrimp pellets on 11st-20th day + Moina sp on 21st-30th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 31st-40th day. P4 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + Moina sp on 11st-20th day + shrimp pellets on 21st-30th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 31st-40th day. P5 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 11st-20th day + shrimp pellets on 21st-30th day + Moina sp on 31st-40th day. P6 = Giving Tubifex sp on the 1st-10th day + shrimp pellets on 11st-20th day + boiled chicken egg yolk on 21st-30th day + Moina sp on 31st-40th day. The results showed that the best combination of feed for the growth of gouramy larvae are P4, with absolute weight growth 0,26 g, specific growth rates 5,67%, absolute length growth 3,23 cm, and survival rate 76,67%. ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on May-July 2017. The purpose of this research was to determine the utilization of fermented chicken feather meal on artificial feed barramundi and to obtain additional levels of the best feather meal in feed formulation barramundi fingerling, digestibility, growth, feed efficiency and protein retention. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) of the factors with 5 treatments and 3 replicated. The treatment in this study was the addition of fermented feather meal that is P1 (0%), P2 (5%), P3 (10%), P4 (15%), P5 (20%) in feed. Protein for feed test average was 45%. The results show that the best treatment material is P5 (20%). Abstract

ABSTRACT The effect of stocking density and feeding rate on the growth and survival rate of comet gold fish larvae (Carassius auratus) was conducted on 14 May to 23   June 2017 in the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The larva was reared in 15 liters aquarium using water resirculation system. This research used the experimental method, while the experimental design using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) two factors. First factor was stocking density with four treatments (1 larvae/liters, 2 larvae/liters,3 larvae/liters, 4 larvae/liters) and second factor was feeding rate with two treatments( 40 % and 60 % body weight/day). To minimize errors, each treatment repeated 3 times. The growth and survival rate of larvae reared at stocking density 1 larvae/L and feeding rate 60% body weight/day were significantly higher than those it 2, 3, 4 larvae/L and 40 % Bw/day respectively. Larvae reared at stocking density 1 larvae/Liter and feeding rate 60% body weight/day was the highest in growth the survival rate, that was 2.46 g, 4,36 cm, 12,94 % /day and 100 % survival rate. The water quality parameters during this research were: temperature 24,6-28,2 0C, pH 5,2-6,8 and dissolved oxygen 4,9-6,0 mg/l. Key word : Carassius auratus, density, feeding rate, growth, survival rate and recirculation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted from January to February 2018 in the halls 0f the fishery seeds Tarantang Subsdistrict, Harau, West Sumatra Province. The aims of this research was to know the effect of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) pituitary gland injected with different dose on ovulation and survivaln rate of komet (Carassius auratus) and To find the best dose ot the pituitary gland to stimulate ovulation and survivaln rate of komet (Carassius auratus). This research used on experimental, one factor four treathment and three replications. The treatments were : HP0: control with NaCl 0,9% (0,2 ml), HP3: Injected with 1:3 dose (1 kg of recipient : 3 kg of donor), HP4: Injected with 1:4 dose (1 kg of recipient : 4 kg of  donor), and HP5: Injected with 1:5 dose (1 kg of recipient : 5 kg of donor). The results showed that common carp (Cyprinus carpio) injected gave an effect on ovulation and survival rate of komet (Carassius auratus). The treatment in HP1 : Injected with 1:3 dose (1 kg of recipient : 3 kg of donor) were teh best treatment with an average of latent time 6 haurs 3 minites , fertilization rate (FR) 69,74%, hatching rate (HR) 75,41% and 7 day survival rate of komet larvae with 90,87%.Keyword : Pituitary gland, ovulation, survival rate, Carassius auratus

Abstract

AbstractGouramy (Osphronemus gouramy) is an economic freshwater fish. This study aims to effect of frequency given of Tubifex sp on growth and survival of gouramy (O. gouramy Lac) larvae. The method was an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five levels of treatment and three replications. The treatment given is the frequency of natural feeding of Tubifex sp. with the level of treatment: (P1) 1 x daily, (P2) 2 x daily, (P3) 4 x daily, (P4) 6 x daily, (P5) 8 x daily. Test fish used were 10-day-old fish larvae with stocking density of 2 fish / liter. The results showed that the frequency of given of Tubifex sp. different effect on the growth of gouramy larvae. The best results were in the treatment ofP4 with a frequency of 6 times a day at intervals of 3 hours, the result weight and length growth of 0.42g and 2.24 cm respectively, a specific growth rate of 7.80%, and a survival rate of 87.78 %.Keyword:Osphronemus gourami, Survival Rate
