Abstract

This paper presents a sufficient condition for the existence of a sinusoidal double series interpolant, that is the function of the form a double Fourier sine series that passes some arbitrary points  (xi, yj, cij), with 0 < xi < 1, dan 0 < yj < 1. The proof is carried out by decomposing the matrix that contains two variables into the multiplication of two matrices each of which contains one variable only, and showing that both matrices are nonsingular.

Abstract

The relocation of the capital of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kalimantan raises new problems in regional development. In this paper the priority areas to be developed on the Kalimantan will be determined using Centrality Measures. The type of centrality measures used are degree centrality, leverage centrality, closseneess centrality, Jordan centrality, and betwenness centrality. The results show that Banjar, Ketapang, Sintang, Kutai  Kertanegara, and Murung Raya areas are the areas that are central to the island of Kalimantan. Although the center of the island of Kalimantan, it is necessary to study the results of this paper with the actual distance of each region.

Abstract

A species can be categorized based on its reproductive strategy, including semelparous and iteroparous. Semelparous species is a species that reproduces only once in its lifetime shortly before dying, while iteroparous species is a species that reproduces in its lifetime more than once. In this paper, we examine multispecies growth dynamics involving both species categories focusing on one semelparous species and one iteroparous species influenced by density-dependent also harvesting in which there are two age classes each. We divided the study into two models comprising competitive and non-competitive models of both species. Competition in both species can consist of competition within the same species (intraspecific competition) and competition between different species (interspecific competition). Our results show that the level of competition both intraspecific and interspecific affects the co-existence equilibrium point and the local stability of the co-existence equilibrium point.

Abstract

The Weiner index is considered one of the basic descriptors of fixed interconnection networks because it provides the average distance between any two nodes of the network. Many methods have been used by researchers to calculate the value of the Wiener index. starting from the brute force method to the invention of an algorithm to calculate the Wiener index without calculating the distance matrix. The application of the Wiener index is found in the molecular structure of organic compounds, especially the benzenoid system. The value of the Wiener index of a molecule is closely related to its physical and chemical properties. This paper will show a comprehensive bibliometric survey of peer-reviewed articles referring to the Wiener index of benzenoid. The Wiener index values of several benzenoid compounds using cubic polynomial are also reported. The Wiener index of benzenoid supports much of the research and provides productive citations for citing the study. Keywords: Wiener index, benzenoid, distance matrix, chemical properties, cubic polynomial, topological.
