Abstract

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.v8i4.166A paleotsunami study having been conducted in 2011 took two study cases in Cilacap and Pangandaran coastal areas. These two regions have been devastated by tsunami in the past and had the most severe damaged on 17 July 2006. Trenching, beach profiling, and sediment sampling had been carried out, and further analysis at the laboratory had been done, such as grain size and fossil analyses and dating. In Cilacap, an iron sand layer was found as a key bed suspected as a paleotsunami deposits due to the content of anthropogenic fragments. In Pangandaran, two layers of tsunami deposit candidates were found having thickness of 5 - 6 cm at the top as a 2006 tsunami deposit candidate, and 5 - 10 cm at the bottom as a paleotsunami deposit candidate. Both grain size and fossil analysis results could explain that Pangandaran’s sediments are tsunami deposits while Cilacap’s ones are assumed to be deposited by another process rather than a tsunami.

Abstract

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.v8i1.151Kaliwangu Formation cropping out around Sumedang area contains mollusk fossils dominated by gastropods and bivalves. In terms of sequence stratigraphy, each sedimentary cycle generally consists of four shell bed types: Early Transgressive Systems Tract (Early TST) deposited above an erosional surface or sequence boundary, that is characterized by shell disarticulation, trace fossils, gravelly content, no fossil orientation direction, and concretion at the bottom; Late Transgressive Systems Tract (Late TST) identified by articulated (conjoined) specimen in its life position, that shows a low level abration and fragmentation, adult specimen with complete shells, and variation of taxa; Early Highstand Systems Tract (Early HST) characterized by adult taxa that was found locally in their life position with individual articulation, juvenile specimens frequently occured; Late Highstand Systems Tract (Late HST) determined as multiple-event concentrations, disarticulated shell domination, and some carbon or amber intercalation indicating terrestrial influence. Shell bed identification done on this rock unit identified nineteen sedimentary cycles.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah segala sesuatu yang bisadigunakan untuk menyalurkan pesan atau informasisehingga dapat merangsang pikiran, perhatian, dan minatsiswa untuk belajar dan mudah dalam memahamipelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan dapatdisimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran padamata pelajaran fiqih kelas VIII di Madrasah TsanawiyahNegeri Kelayan Banjarmasin cukup baik namun belumoptimal karena terbatas pada media-media yang sudah adasaja seperti buku pelajaran dan papan tulis, media-mediaelektonik belum tersedia sepenuhnya. Adapun faktorfaktoryang mempengaruhi penggunaan mediapembelajaran fiqih tersebut adalah latar belakangpendidikan guru, pengalaman mengajar, pendidikan danpelatihan/training profesi keguruan, dan fasilitas.

Abstract

The development of advanced communications technology has brought about fundamental changes in the world of life. A number of views on the spirit behind the progress are emerging, as well as about the effects it incurs. This paper tries to see two basic things. First about the passion and trends behind the advances in communication technology. This section includes allfree behavior that encourages the tendency of abnormalities, identity greed, the speed and interconnectedness. Second, about the spirit of thought that underlies the advancement of communication technology. This section reviews the three currents of thought that become the dominant discusus in viewing technology. That thought is; 1) utopianism as an optimistic view of the positive role of science and technology, 2) dystopianism, as a pessimistic view of science and technology, and 3) hypertopianism, as the fatalist view of science and technology. The various streams of thought that the author studied from a number of literatures in this field show the tendency of many thinkers to highlight the negative aspects of the latest advances in communication technology. Similarly depicted in this paper, the gloomy portrayal of the future of communication technology in this paper can be viewed positively, that it gives us a map of the spirit of progress, as a "long-warning system" that provides mapping, and the possibility of the future by departing from current social, cultural and technological trends can help us read its constellations and impacts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui latar belakang , dinamika perkembangan, dan dampak usaha tambang pasir batu di Desa Lonjoboko Kabupaten Gowa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang berdirinya usaha tambang pasir batu adalah lokasinya yang strategis karena dekat dengan Sungai Je’neberang sebagai tempat untuk menambang, besarnya permintaan akan material untuk pembangunan serta letak desa lonjoboko yang juga strategis sebagai sentra produksi tambang. Dalam menjalankan usaha tambang pasir batu di Desa Lonjoboko mengalami beberapa dinamika baik dari segi permodalan, kegiatan produksi, serta beberapa pengeluaran untuk keperluan usaha sebagai penunjang berjalannya usaha tersebut.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa munculnya usaha-usaha tambang pasir batu di Desa Lonjoboko Kabupaten Gowa telah mengakibatkan berbagai dampak diantaranya adalah dampak terhadap lingkungan seperti pencemaran tanah, pencemaran udara, debu yang berterbangan, kebisingan dan kerusakan jalan. Dampak sosial dengan adanya masala-masalah sosial seperti jalur lintasan penambangan yang harus melintasi tanah milik sendiri, rusaknya jalan sebagai sarana transportasi umum dan sengketa lahan. Selanjutnya dampak ekonomi, yakni dengan terserapnya beberapa tenaga kerja oleh usaha tambang tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kesejarahan. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui studi lapangan dan kajian pustaka dengan menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang mempunyai tahapan kerja, yaitu heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Munculnya pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia memiliki dampak yang sangat signifikan terhadap dunia pendidikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia yang berjalan sangat pasif. Pembelajaran konvensional terpaksa diganti dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh via daring. Selain dari pembelajaran formal, aktivitas literasi juga terdampak oleh pandemi Covid-19. Salah satu cara agar pembelajaran berjalan sesuai dengan standar, maka semua elemen pendidikan harus memanfaatkan teknologi dalam menghubungkan antara guru dan siswa. Melihat hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pemanfaatan WhatsApp yang digunakan sebagai media kegiatan literasi di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 233 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat dikatakan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan WhatsApp sebagai media dalam aktivitas literasi dapat memantik minat masyarakat dari berbagi jenjang, mulai dari siswa, mahasisa, pekerja rumah tangga, guru, dan lain-lain. Salah satu aktivitas literasi yang dilakukan dalam grup WhatsApp adalah pelatihan menulis judul cerita berbantuan gambar. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah WhatsApp dapat dijadikan sebuah media dalam kegiatan berliterasi di masa pandemi Covid-19.KATA KUNCI: Covid-19; kegiatan literasi; pemanfaatan WhatsApp. UTILIZING WHATSAPP AS A MEDIA IN LITERACY ACTIVITIES IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD ABSTRACT: The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has had a very significant impact on the world of education. This can be seen in the development of education in Indonesia which runs very passively. Conventional learning has to be replaced with distance learning via online. Apart from formal learning, literacy activities have also been affected by Covid-19 pandemic. One way for learning to run according to standards, all elements of education must take advantage of technology in connecting teachers and students. Seeing, this study aims to describe how the use of WhatsApp is used as a medium for literacy activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative method. The number of participants in this study amounted to 233 people. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be said that using WhatsApp as a medium in literacy activities can spark people's interest from sharing levels, starting from students, students, domestic workers, teachers, and others. One of the literacy activities carried out in the WhatsApp group is training in writing story titles aided by images. The conclusion that can be drawn is that WhatsApp can be used as a medium for literacy activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.KEYWORDS: Covid-19; literacy activities; use of WhatsApp.
