Abstract

The high prevalence of malnutrition reflected low food security in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Nutritional, security, sociocultural, and diversification in the processing and utilization of food that has not been optimal to be the cause of it. Lebui [Glycine max (L.) Merril] as a typical vegetable processed product of Lombok island can be one of alternative of food reinforcement. This aims of this research was to determined the water content, ash and anthocyanin processed vegetable products in quantitative and sensory. Evaluation of nutritional content using proximate analysis while receiving aspect using favorite test. The results showed that water, ash, and anthocyanin levels in the samples were 11.366% w / w, 4.116% w / w, 46.757 mg / 100 g respectively while in the processed products had similar results with seeds with the decreasing trend of anthocyanin content . Preferably test shows organoleptically more vegetable variants more desirable from the aspects of taste, texture, and aroma. Processed vegetable products have higher nutritional content and are preferred by consumers so that it can be further developed as a diversificated of food products. Keywords: hedonic test, processed vegetable product, proximate analysis ABSTRAK Angka prevalensi gizi buruk yang tinggi merefleksikan rendahnya ketahanan pangan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Aspek gizi, keamanan, sosiokultural, diversifikasi dalam pengolahan dan pemanfaatan pangan yang belum optimal menjadi faktor penyebab hal tersebut. Lebui [Glycine max (L.) Merril] sebagai produk olahan sayur khas pulau Lombok dapat menjadi salahsatu alternatif penguatan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar air, abu dan antosianin produk olahan sayur lebui secara kuantitatif dan sensoris. Evaluasi kandungan gizi menggunakan analisa proksimat sementara aspek penerimaan menggunakan uji kesukaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar air, abu, dan antosianin pada sampel berturut-turut sebesar 11,366 %b/b, 4,116 %b/b, 46,757 mg/100 g sementara pada produk olahan memiliki hasil yang serupa dengan biji lebui disertai dengan trend penurunan kadar antosianin. Uji kesukaan menunjukkan secara organoleptik varian sayur lebui lebih diminati dari aspek rasa, tekstur, dan aroma. Produk olahan sayur lebui memiliki kandungan gizi yang cukup tinggi dan lebih disukai konsumen sehingga dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai diversifikasi produk pangan. Abstract

A research has been conducted to investigate the HKSA equation model of a set of carbamic derivative insecticidal compounds based on the hydrofobic, electronic and steric descriptors. The descriptors are calculated by a method of PM3 while the the insecticidal activity are obtained by the experiment. The relationship of the descriptos and the activities are determined by multilinear reggression analysis. The result of the analysis then provide a best equation model that can be used to design new carbamic derivative insecticidal compounds. These design might be recommended  to be synthesized in the experimental works.

Abstract

 Free radical is an atom or molecule that has unpaired electrons, is reactive and unstable which can cause damage to cells and tissues. Secondary metabolite compounds in plants such as phenolics, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins can inhibit free radicals. One of the plants that has the potential as an antioxidant is a Stachytarpheta jamaicensis (L.) Vahl. The part of the plant that is often used as a medicinal ingredient by Indonesian people is the leaf part. The leaves of snakeweed are natural ingredients that are rich in phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. This study aims to determine the activity of free radical inhibition in the snakeweed leaf extract with Ultrasound Assisted Extraction method. Determination of free radical inhibition activity was examined using DPPH method at the concentration series of snakeweed leaf extracts of 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, and 85 ppm. The comparison solution used was vitamin C made with a concentration series of 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 ppm. The results showed that vitamin C had a free radical inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 9.40 ± 0.07 ppm, while the extract of snakeweed leaf had free radical inhibition activity with an IC50 value of 74.32 ± 0.71 ppm. Based on the IC50 value, the intensity of free radical inhibition activity in vitamin C is classified as very strong and the extract of snakeweed leaf is strong

Abstract

Abstract: Nutritious and safe intake is a prerequisite for the growth and development of school-age children. Poor breakfast habits and snacks for school children that do not meet the requirements contribute significantly to the nutritional problems of school-age children. This is one of the priority health problems. Low achievement in the implementation of school children's nutrition programs has led to healthy breakfast and snack innovations workshops at one of the elementary schools in Sekarbela sub-district, Mataram city. The workshop participants included 50 people consisting of school-age children, parents, teachers, and canteen vendors. The workshop was guided by a nutritionist, and he explained the selection of nutritional intake, both through breakfast and snack. Also, participants were trained to practice a variety of healthy breakfast innovation menus. After the workshop, participants were able to practice and be actively involved in making a healthy breakfast innovation menu. The response of participants to the menu is quite good. After mentoring by a nutritionist, parents and teachers can solve the problems encountered. Cafeteria vendors get input regarding snacks supply after expert review. This workshop has been going well and has produced the results as targeted.Keywords: PJAS, healthy breakfast, workshop, school-age children.

Abstract

Pelatihan penggunaan media berbantuan komputer bagi guru dan siswa serta mahasiswa sebagai salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman dan pembelajaran ilmu kimia di SMKN 3 Mataram telah berhasil diselenggarakan. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan sebagai penerapan inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran guna pemahaman kimia lebih lanjut. Proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media komputer mampu menjawab tantangan kesulitan siswa dan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari kimia baik ditingkat sekolah maupun universitas. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan simulasi yang diikuti dengan sasaran kegiatan melakukan pembuatan struktur dan melihat bentuk geometri struktur molekul tersebut. Pemahaman sasaran kegiatan tentang struktur molekul suatu senyawa meningkat setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hal ini terbukti dengan 90% sasaran kegiatan berhasil menjawab post test yang diberikan diakhir acara.

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs used to treat infections caused by bacteria. The results of RISKESDAS in 2013 showed that there were 27.8% of the public storing antibiotics without a doctor's prescription, which could lead to bacterial resistance. One of the factors that influence the use of antibiotics in community is the level of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge regarding the use of antibiotics using the CBIA (Active Human Learning Way) method. This research is descriptive using the CBIA method. Respondents were given a pre-test questionnaire followed by the delivery of material related to antibiotics, then continued with the post-test. The results showed that there was an increase in public knowledge regarding the use of antibiotics by 16.25% using the CBIA method.
