Abstract

National industries need to anticipate the numerous environmental issues in international trade, in order to compete with other countries. Ministry of Industry Republic of Indonesia has responded that issue by putting green industry as an important part of Master Plan of National Industry Development 2015 – 2035. To encourage industry in implementing green industry principle, since 2010 Ministry of Indsutry has conducted Green Industry Award. Although each year, there is an increasing number of award receivers, but comparing with the total numbers of industries in Indonesia, the percentage of award receivers is so small. Therefore, this research is conducted to measure the environmental performance of several industries in Indonesia in order to know whether industries are ready to implement green industry standard. Data were collected in 6 manufacturing industries, based on the green industry self-assessment form released by ministry of industry. From the sixth industries which were evaluated, there are two industries that show low commitment to the environment because their scores are below 50. There is one industry categorized as green industry level 1 (score=56.5). Meanwhile there are two industries categorized as level 3 (score= 77.1 and 79.8) and one industry reached level 4 (score 82.1).Keywords: green industry,environment performance, self-assesment

Abstract

Solid wastes at PT Pertamina in Jakarta were dominated by the corrugated box, so this research aims to utilize PT Pertamina’s corrugated box waste into furniture using Design for Environment (DfE) guidelines. Stages in this research use the design and development product theory of Ulrich & Eppinger, consisting of Phase 0 of Product Planning along with step 1 of the DfE guidelines. Phase 1 Concept Development is concurrent with stage 2 DfE guideline Identification of Potential Environmental Impacts and Selection of DfE guidelines. Phase 2 System-Level Design works in conjunction with the 3rd stage of the DfE Guide to Initial Design Guidelines. The selected design is modular with a sectionalmodular architecture type that can be arranged into three functions—table, shelf, and chair—so the product was named Mersi, which in the Indonesian language is an abbreviation of table, chair, and shelf (meja, kursi, lemari). The Phase 3 Detail Design added ergonomic aspects into the product design. In this phase, an alpha prototype is created, and the impacts on the environment are measured by the DfE phase 4 guideline, and the four factors measured show that the value of the DfE fraction is close to 1, meaning the prototype is environmentally friendly. Phase 4 Testing and Evaluation of Alpha Prototype with high-performance rating results for four dimensions were measured. The final product’s DfE fraction value is close to 1, meaning that the product is environmentally friendly even if there is a component of the product that is not environmentally friendly. This product was registered to have Industrial Design, Intellectual Property Rights on March 2, 2018.

Abstract

Di Desa Kedung Dalem, Pasar Kemis, Tangerang, terdapat sebuah industri rumahan yang memproduksi bagian atas sandal wanita. Saat ini proses produksinya masih menggunakan alat yang sangat sederhana, seperti palu, mata pelubang dan mata press. Para pekerja yang semuanya wanita mengeluhkan proses pelubangan dan pengepresan cukup melelahkan karena masih dikerjakan secara manual menggunakan palu. Selain itu pekerjaan dilakukan sambil duduk di lantai karena belum ada meja dan kursi kerja. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan memperbaiki postur pekerja, maka pada penelitian ini akan dibuat sebuah stasiun kerja yang terdiri dari meja dan kursi kerja serta alat bantu untuk proses pelubangan dan pengepresan bagian atas sandal wanita. Untuk proses perancangan meja, kursi dan alat bantu digunakan metode quality function deployment (QFD). Setelah stasiun kerja dan alat bantu dibuat, dilakukan uji coba dan hasil produksi pelubangan dan pengepresan meningkat dari sebelumnya 84 pasang/jam menjadi 128 pasang/jam atau meningkat sebesar 52,4%. Selain itu, dengan adanya stasiun kerja dan alat bantu, diharapkan dapat mengurangi risiko cedera musculoskeletal pada pekerja, karena  skor RULA(Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) dengan menggunakan stasiun kerja tersebut turun dari sebelumnya 7 menjadi 3.Kata kunci: stasiun kerja, alat bantu, produktivitas, QFD, RULA

Abstract

Industri alas kaki di Indonesia berkembang dengan sangat cepat, hal ini membuat persaingan diantara industri yang sejenis semakin ketat. Un tuk bertahan hidup, sebuah industri harus bisa menjaga dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dengan cara memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan. PT. Pratama Abadi Industri adalah salah satu produsen yang berusaha mempertahankan produksinya. Masalah dari perusahaan ini adalah target produksi sebanyak 225 pasang per jam tidak pernah tercapai. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memenuhi target tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menambahkan jumlah operator dan mesin untuk mencapai target tersebut.Keywords : PPH (pairs/person/hour), Simulation Model, Simulation Process.

Abstract

Human resources are an important factor in the industrial world because they help innovate, create, and lead (soft skills). The industrial sector in the future will be dominated by Generation Z individuals, most of whom are currently university students. Therefore, it is very important for students to develop their soft skills. One way for students to develop soft skills is by participating in student activities. Based on research conducted at Universitas Pelita Harapan, results show that 22% of students are not actively participating in student activities. The aim of this research was to find and analyze the correlation between student profiles, namely the student's home faculty/academic major, class, and gender, with inactive participation in student activities. This study also analyzes the reasons for and considerations of student inactivity based on the characteristics of Generation Z and provides suggestions for student activities desired by students. Data was collected using a questionnaire filled out by 1214 respondents and interviews, then processed using SPSS software version 25.  The results of the data processing show that there is a correlation between student profiles, namely faculty/academic major and class, with the inactivity of students participating in student activities (p-value <0.05) and there is not a sufficient correlation between gender and student inactivity in student activities (p-value > 0.05). There are several reasons and considerations that cause students not to actively participate in student activities which are then used as suggestions for new student activities.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan salah satu aset penting dalam dunia Industri karena memiliki kemampuan untuk berinovasi, berkreasi dan memimpin (soft skill). Angkatan kerja pada era industri ini akan diisi oleh para individu generasi Z, sebagian besar adalah mahasiswa perguruan tinggi. Oleh sebab itu sangat penting bagi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan softskill mereka. Salah satu cara mengembangkan softskill pada mahasiswa adalah dengan mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di Universitas Pelita Harapan, diketahui bahwa terdapat 22% mahasiswa yang tidak aktif mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Pelita Harapan, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara profil mahasiswa, yaitu fakultas asal mahasiswa, angkatan, dan jenis kelamin dengan ketidakaktifan dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Lalu, untuk menganalisis alasan dan pertimbangan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa dihubungkan dengan karakteristik generasi Z berdasarkan teori yang ada, serta memberikan usulan dan saran kegiatan kemahasiswaan bagi UPH. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan wawancara, kemudian diolah dengan software SPSS. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara profil mahasiswa yaitu fakultas dan angkatan dengan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan (p-value <0,05) dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara jenis kelamin dengan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan (p-value >0,05). Terdapat beberapa alasan dan pertimbanagan yang menyebabkan mahasiswa tidak aktif mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Setelah itu, usulan dan saran dapat dilakukan analisis lebih lanjut mengenai jenis kegiatan yang paling sesuai untuk dilaksanakan, berdasarkan profil mahasiswa yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM ini adalah kelanjutan dari kegiatan PKM tentang Business Mentoring di UMKM Cemilan Keripik milik Ibu Supiyah yang terletak di Desa Kranggan Tangerang Selatan. Kegiatan PkM di UMKM tersebut sudah dirintis sejak tahun 2018. Di UMKM Cemilan Keripik ini diproduksi berbagai macam keripik dan makanan ringan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di UMKM ini adalah para pekerja khususnya di bagian penggorengan keripik pisang mengalami sakit punggung karena harus duduk di atas kotak kayu selama kurang lebih 5- 6 jam sehari. Hasil analisis menggunakan Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) untuk postur kerja awal, diketahui memiliki skor akhir sebesar 5-7. Hal ini berarti postur kerja tersebut membahayakan pekerja. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut sudah dirancang dan dibuat stasiun kerja baru berupa meja dan kursi yang ergonomis, agar pekerja dapat melakukan pekerjaannya dengan lebih aman dan nyaman. Dengan adanya stasiun kerja baru tersebut, skor RULA turun menjadi 3 yang berarti postur kerja yang baru lebih aman bagi pekerja.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah selalu ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Selain dapat merusak lingkungan bila tidak dikelola dengan baik, sampah sebenarnya juga mempunyai nilai ekonomis, bila dapat didaur ulang. Untuk membangun kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, maka tim PkM Prodi Teknik Industri menyelenggarakan kegiatan PkM recycling program pengumpulan tabungan sampah secara berkelanjutan yang sudah dimulai sejak 2016. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan bagian terintegrasi dari mata kuliah industri ramping dan hijau, dimana mahasiswa mempelajari bagaimana industri dapat menerapkan prinsip lean and green manufacturing untuk meminimasi limbah/waste serta melakukan penghematan sumber daya alam mulai dari pengadaan bahan baku sampai distribusi barang jadi bahkan sampai tahap penggunaan produk oleh konsumen. Dalam kegiatan ini, para dosen dan mahasiswa Teknik Industri, melakukan pengumpulan sampah daur ulang berupa botol PET, kertas dan kardus, kemasan plastik lainnya. Pengumpulan dan pemilahan sampah dilakukan di kampus serta rumah masing-masing. Sampah yang terkumpul dan terpilah kemudian disetorkan sebagai tabungan sampah kepada mitra pengepul SAMPAHQU. Selama periode pengumpulan sampah yang sudah berlangsung, didapatkan total tabungan sampah sebesar 1614,7 kg dengan jenis sampah terbanyak adalah kertas HVS bekas sebesar 71,2%.

Abstract

This research was conducted by taking a case study of a retail store that sells various kinds of building materials. Workers in this shop found it difficult to measure and cut any roll-shaped materials. In addition to a longer time to measure and cut the materials, workers also experienced several kinds of pain after doing these activities. Based on the result of Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire (CMDQ), it was known that the workers experienced pain in their lower back (23.6%), upper back (20.5%), waist (14.1%) and neck (12.7%). Therefore, in this research, a tool will be designed to make it easier for workers to measure and cut roll-shaped material. The design was carried out based on the results of body posture analysis using the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) method. The improvement of the worker's posture was carried out by making a tool for measuring and cutting roll-shaped materials. The 3D model for the tool was developed by using the CATIA application. The design of the tool is in the form of a support with 2 rollers which have a total dimension of 150 cm long, 50 cm wide and 110 cm high.  Based on REBA analysis, it was known that there was a significant decrease in REBA scores from 11 (high risk level) for the current work posture to 3 (low risk level) in the proposed work posture using the designed tool. This decreasing of the REBA score happened because the tool was designed so that workers can operate it in a standing position with a roller at elbow height. To ensure that the designed tool could work properly, a prototype of the tool was made in a small scale model. In addition to accomodating ergonomic posture, the tool prototype also could measure the material automatically. The measurement automation process uses Arduino as the main microcontroller which will regulate the motion of the stepper motor used.

Abstract

To support the government's program in achieving a zero waste target, the information system used by waste collectors, waste bank managers, or individuals needs to be developed. The academic community has supported the government program by designing an information system. However, the system requires sustainable maintenance and development to meet user needs. SampahQu is a mobile application used for depositing Tetra Pak packaging waste in South Tangerang. However, the application cannot be used due to lack of maintenance. The purpose of this research is to develop an information system based on the framework of the previous application, but expanded to deposit 48 other types of waste. The development method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototype, which consists of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. In the planning stage, the business process, user needs, and system development feasibility analysis are obtained. The results of the analysis stage consist of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and normalized relational tables. The application will be used by waste collectors, waste bank managers, and personal customers, so login is required for access suitability: registration, waste bank data update, transaction input, viewing historical data, and reporting. The results of the design and implementation stage were successfully tested with users using the Delone and McLean success measurement method, with a score of 4.8 out of 5.Bahasa Indonesai Abstract:Untuk mendukung program pemerintah mencapai target bersih sampah, diperlukan pengembangan sistem informasi yang dapat digunakan oleh pengepul, pengurus bank sampah atau personal. Pihak akademisi telah mendukung program pemerintah melalui perancangan sistem informasi. Namun diperlukan adanya pemeliharaan dan pengembangan yang berkelanjutan dari sistem tersebut agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Aplikasi SampahQu merupakan aplikasi mobile yang digunakan untuk menyetor sampah kemasan Tetra Pak di Tangerang Selatan. Namun karena belum ada pemeliharan, aplikasi tersebut tidak dapat digunakan lagi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem informasi berdasarkan kerangka kerja aplikasi sebelumnya, namun diperluas untuk penyetoran 48 jenis sampah lainnya. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah metode Daur Hidup Pengembangan Sistem atau System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototype, yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, analisis, pembuatan, implementasi dan testing. Pada tahap perencanaan diperoleh proses bisnis, kebutuhan pengguna dan analisis kelayakan pengembangan sistem. Hasil dari tahap analisis terdiri dari use case diagram, activity diagram, class diagram dan tabel relational ternormalisasi. Aplikasi akan digunakan oleh pengepul, pengurus bank sampah dan nasabah personal maka login diperlukan untuk kesesuaian akses: register, update data bank sampah, input transaksi, melihat data histori, dan pelaporan. Hasil dari tahap pembuatan dan implementasi berhasil diujicoba kepada pengguna dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran keberhasilan dari Delone dan McLean sebesar 4.8 dari skala 5.
